posted a message on Your Most Anticipated Game?
Hoo boy, I've got a list of games.

    Assassin's Creed: Revelations
Batman: Arkham City (though I still need to finish Arkham Asylum)
    Borderlands 2/Borderworlds
    The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
    Kingdom Hearts III
    Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine
    Warhammer 40,000: Dark Millennium Online
Deus Ex: Human Revolution (though again, still need to go back and play Deus Ex and Invisible War)
Half-Life 2: Episode Three (Ha. Ha ha. Ha.)
If it counts, the hinted-at Left 4 Dead 2 DLC featuring the Midnight Riders (After all, the Passing revealed that the Riders are still alive - or at least someone is, driving their bus)

    posted a message on Creepypasta..
I love seeing this thread pop up (it's about the third time I've seen it) but can we PLEASE get some spoiler tags and paragraphs? I wanted to read that Pokemon one, but it's a solid wall of text.

And just so I didn't just post to whine about the other entries in the thread, one of my favorites from one of the old threads:

    The Portraits

There was a hunter in the woods, who, after a long day hunting, was in the middle of an immense forest. It was getting dark, and having lost his bearings, he decided to head in one direction until he was clear of the increasingly oppressive foliage. After what seemed like hours, he came across a cabin in a small clearing. Realizing how dark it had grown, he decided to see if he could stay there for the night. He approached, and found the door ajar. Nobody was inside. The hunter flopped down on the single bed, deciding to explain himself to the owner in the morning.

As he looked around the inside of the cabin, he was surprised to see the walls adorned by several portraits, all painted in incredible detail. Without exception, they appeared to be staring down at him, their features twisted into looks of hatred and malice. Staring back, he grew increasingly uncomfortable. Making a concerted effort to ignore the many hateful faces, he turned to face the wall, and exhausted, he fell into a restless sleep.

The next morning, the hunter awoke — he turned, blinking in unexpected sunlight. Looking up, he discovered that the cabin had no portraits, only windows.

By the way, it's a great feeling to, at 4 in the morning, search for that story and land on the Oh Internet creepypasta page, which has a huge jpeg image of the Smile Dog.

posted a message on Best Book(s) You've Read
Well, I have too many series to list individual books, so...

The Dresden Files, by Jim Butcher (curse you, cliffhanger, CURSE YOU!)

The Foundation Series, by Isaac Asimov (I was so sad to hear that the timeline just kind of stopped at Foundation and Earth. It could have gone on to so much more)

The Robot Series, also by Asimov

Artemis Fowl, by Eoin Colfer (Though the later books haven't been nearly as good as the first)

    Harry Potter, by J.K. Rowling

A Series of Unfortunate Events, by Lemony Snicket

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, by Douglas Adams

It might be said that I read a lot.

    posted a message on Munchkin
It's an alright game. The problem I have with it is that you either see players go for 8 turns without being able to fight anything, or use some crazy trickery and jump from level 5 to 10 in one turn. And it's one of those infamous friendship-ending games - one person plays like a total ******* (backstabbing their way to victory) and someone flips the table.

And to those who don't know, Munchkin is a card game produced by Steve Jackson Games that basically parodies Dungeons & Dragons, among other things. The goal is to get your character up to level 10, adding equipment, classes, skills and races along the way. The cards are humorous and full of puns, but the gameplay just doesn't work.

posted a message on How to make oblivion run faster on my computer?
Yeah, for starters, get something better than McAfee...it tends to call innocent programs Trojans and let real Trojans through.

I would suggest adding at least an extra GB of RAM to your computer, though. 1GB isn't really enough. However, as you said that you'd prefer to keep suggestions free, I'd simply tone the graphics down or use the oldblivion and grass mods listed above.
