posted a message on Good News! The duping has been fixed for next update!
    Quote from The_Teal_King»

I am honestly a bit disappointed about this update. Duplication was a simple and efficient method to obtain what was needed. Without this, we are forced to resort to the old natural way of survival. Because of duplication, we had the following:

    • Infinite Food
    • Infinite Armor & Weapons
    • Infinite Materials

Duplication was a boost in the Minecraft community and it gave everyone what they needed equally without the fight to get it. Everyone had equal opportunities to become strong individuals in the Minecraft community. Those who knew how to duplicate had a bigger chance to survive that those tho didn't. Those were my thoughts.

If you want infinite everything, the answer is simple.... Play in creative mode.

Any duplication method is cheating, plain and simple. Infinite food is easy in survival, you just need to set up some automatic farms to do the work. Infinite armor and weapons, also easy with zombie and skeleton farms (yeah it's mostly garbage, but it's free). Infinite materials, just have to dig them up. If you're not willing to do any of that, then just play in creative.

I wonder how many issues with corrupted world saves are caused by people exploiting various duplication bugs.

posted a message on They fixed the Mob Armor Drop glitch?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

What on earth do you need that much armor for?

I've got a skeleton spawner that I've made an XP farm for and I've gotten TONS of armor out of it that's mostly all junk. I've been holding on to the chainmail and what little iron armor I pick up and all of the gold and leather armor gets dumped into lava. The skeletons drop way too much armor when killed. It's only supposed to be something like an 8.5% chance that they will drop a piece armor or weapons. Instead they are dropping full suits of armor and quite frequently. On top of this, they are not dropping any weapons. I would love to collect some bows, but they're not dropping those.

I'll probably start dumping the chainmail as well. Just keep a couple of suits of some enchanted items for backup and dump the rest. The bones and arrows are at least useful.

posted a message on Why do they add Skin packs on various updated versions of MCPE

Because micro-transactions are a viable way of making some extra money for the company. Skins, texture packs, and add-on's are on the list of items that count towards these micro-transactions. Freemium games have been doing the same thing for years, how do you think they've managed to stay in business by giving away a game?

You paid $7.00 for a game and expect them to constantly update the game from now until eternity for free. Research and Development is not cheap, and a company needs to recoup it's costs for this while maintaining a certain level of profit.

The skin I use is one that I downloaded off of a skin website. I have not purchased a skin pack for PE / Windows 10. I do have the free Story Mode skin pack that they gave away a few months ago, but I've never really used any of the skins in it.

I have however purchased all of the texture packs that have been introduced. Why? Even though I can use free texture packs as well, if a change is made to the game, the free texture packs can cause issues (see what is happening with the 0.16.0 beta tests and custom textures right now). The ones you buy in game will always be updated to go along with the current release build. So if new blocks or mobs are added (i.e. the Ocean Monument stuff and the Wither) the textures will be correct and you don't have to worry about updating the ones you use to match the current version of the game.

It's all money. Mojang needs to remain profitable in order for them to continue development.

posted a message on MCPE Server Software

Pocket Mine is the only software that I know of, and it is not official. What do you need to do with a server that you couldn't do with a Realms account?

    Does natural pigmen spawners exists?!

I Don't think it is possible thou

Edit: How about drowning. Mobs are forced to float so the pigmen will drown(Yes, it can) and the items will be carried through using water/hopper.

Natural Pigmen spawners do not exist. You can get one in creative though by putting down a spawner and using a Zombie Pigmen spawn egg on it.

The only thing that I've seen in the overworld would be multiple nether portals grouped together. It's not very fast or efficient though. Pigmen don't drop much to begin with (rotten flesh, gold sword, gold nugget), so it takes a lot of them getting killed off in order to get anything useful.

In the nether, you'd probably have to build an area that is surrounded by slabs for 120 blocks in each direction to force the pigmen to spawn where you want them, then figure out some kind of killing mechanism. I know there is a glitch to get water in the nether by breaking ice, but that will probably be fixed pretty quickly, so drowning is out of the question. You might be able to heard them through a nether portal and into a killing trap in the overworld. You could use a standard skeleton/zombie spawner trap to push them up a water elevator which will drop them either to their death or down to a half a heart where you can pick them off easily and collect the XP.

It would be nice to see something that doesn't involve breaking through bedrock to get above the nether and build a farm up there. I don't even know if that is possible with Pocket Edition.

posted a message on Need help with item transportation.

Yeah, it sounds like your storage is in unloaded chunks.

Something you could try, though I am not guaranteeing that it's going to work, would be to log in with a second player and have that one stand near your storage building and see if the cart makes it from one end to the other. It still might not though as there could be many unloaded chunks between the two players. It all depends upon how far apart things are.

posted a message on Connect to Xbox One Minecraft Game from Windows 10 Edition

Minecraft for Xbox One and Minecraft Windows 10 Edition cannot be played together. They are two different versions of the game. The only thing they have in common is the use of Xbox Live to handle the networking for the games.

    Quote from FiveCentBoy»

Thanks all! BUT before when I first got the farm it was working fine and now it's a dud...

Things like this happen with updates. Look at the issue with slime chunks recently. They were working, then after TU31 they were producing way too much slime, then after another update, they were producing next to nothing, and now with TU36 they are fixed again. The issue with slime chunks was put into the bug tracker and a lot of people voted it up and it got fixed. That's why we need to make sure that 4J knows about the issue. Vote up the issue in the bug tracker. The more vote-ups something has the more likely that they will see the issue there and get it fixed.
