Though Xerxia isn't a stricly RP server, we wanted to give players rewards for exploration and team work. Therefore, we've built in some RP/Exploration aspects, and added a bit of storyline behind it.
Firstly, Elysian Vale's economy is tied to the number of citizens in xerxia, and the amount they trade with the humble little spawn village. As more people trade more items, and the server grows, Elysian Vale will expand, and offer new goods and services for purchase and trade. There is also the RP aspect of Xerxia's lore.
Xerxia Lore, Part I:
The village of Elysian Vale sits high atop a mountain, overlooking the sea. At it's highest point sits a Temple, constructed by a nation known only as 'the ancients' long ago. The village has existed as long as anyone can remember, and its shops and farms dot the hillside around the temple's spire. Mining, however, has been difficult here. Elysians, try as they might, cannot dig beneath the surface of the mountain. Their picks break, their shovels bend, as if some force prevents excavation of the site.
Many scholars, namely the Guardians faction, believe there to be more of the temple buried beneath the soil and rock, but are unsure as to how to break the seemingly impregnable seal surrounding the mountain. Perhaps, as the fate of the Ancients is uncovered, we can unlock the secrets of the Elysian Temple. Only time will tell.
