Ok, I just tried the V7 Lite beta3 and it worked. Pretty nice, I love the sky, but I think it's bit too bright when the sun gets up and there's barely any "smooth lightning". Looks too flat. My smooth lightning level is at 100% but in the shader it almost looks like it's disabled. Any way to fix that?

What does shaders option "separateAo" do?

Oh, I just remembered something when I had Enhaced Default that the vanilla shadows are also visible. Not sure if this is possble to fix.

Hm, I tried the V7 Lite Beta and It doesen't work. Everything is a bit dark with a green tint, dark sky, no shadows and also no errors. The V7 rc1 ultra and extreme are working perfectly, and also all the V6 and V5 versions. Just these latest V7 Lite are completely glitched for me. I'm running this on Latest Lubuntu Linux with on the GTX 1050, all up to date.

Hello, I'm currently using the v6 ultra shaderpack and It's great! Unfortunately I'm experiencing a very annoying bug involving enchanted armor. Here's a picture of what I'm talking about. Also enchanted items don't have a glowing aura in your hand. I'm running Windows 10 on a Gtx 1070. My cpu is an i7 7700. I've seen someone else post something about this a year ago but it hasn't been addressed yet. I tried the v7 beta version and its still bugged.
Yep, known bug for V6, but only for the High and up versions. Doesn't happen in Lite/Low/Medium.

Sildur, is there a tweak I can do to vibrant ones that would show the skybox from a resource pack? It would ne nice to have this as an option in future versions.

Would be possible to add hotkeys to change the render distance instead of constantly jumping into the options? For example, f6 for increasing and f7 for decreasing the render distance. I remember when Minecraft was still in alpha/beta it was possible by using one of the f keys.

Back then the fps was higher if you were using the shader mod instead of the shader mod inside optifine. The current shader mod which comes with optifine has a higher impact on your CPU then the old shader mod did. The more you load the CPU the lower the fps.
Also I found this a while back:

Lower the shadow render distance to "very near". Also by doing that you can lower the shadow resoultion a bit. It will still look good because of the lower shadow render distance. If it's not enought then lower your render distance to 8-10.

Sildur, is it possible to tweak something in the Vibrant ones that it would show the skybox from a resource pack? It's only showing during the night and not day. Would really be nice to have a support for a resource pack skybox.
Also, I miss the handlight torch option from the past. I know that optifine has that now but it's very laggy, unlike the one from a shader which made no lag. Would be possible to add it back?

Nice, will update today.

I just noticed that the shadows in "Enhanced Default" are no longer disappearing soon after sunrise or before sunset in the latest optifine, nice. So it was an optifine glitch it seems.

In gbuffers_textured.fsh line 127, create a new line and paste the following finalShading *= 2.0; You can adjust the number to make it even brighter.
Should look like this.
finalShading *= (1.0 - iswater); //disable shadows on water plane(not fully, 1.0-0.95) finalShading *= 2.0; }
Is this something like "crossprocess" filter does? I noticed that enabling it makes the game a bit brighter but also a bit more yellow.
Also, "colorboost" makes some textures overebright, makes them yellow and loose a lot of detail in them.

Nop, and I think I found the reason. I was checking the release notes and noticed this:
- fixed missing void when VBO enabled and Y > 64
So, the reason why the custom sky went all around in older versions was because there was no void showing up, now it does. That glitch was actually a good one

Hm, I'm using the latest version C8, and my custom sky get's cut off at the bottom. Also the VBO is on.
