Will you contribute? If so, what will you contribute: I would like to "do my own thing," but at the same time, I have no problem collaborating with other players. Specifically, I will be contributing my time, effort, and attention to my goals and the goals of others.

I've been playing Minecraft on a 2008 iMac with 100+ FPS usually. I also have played on a 2008 MacBook, with around 60 FPS usually. They both work well.
Um... Yes, most of the players on your server have not graduated from high school or college, so the numbers should be going down during the day... Because they are at school... Lol.
In response to everyone feeling excluded: we all have access to every version of Minecraft. Go and play some Alpha if you want to "remember what it was like." Me, personally, I started in b1.7.3, so that will always be my motherland .
I know this is a really vague answer, but I like that in Minecraft, players can do anything they want (virtually). I guess that fits under "Sandbox," so I guess I like the game for its seemingly limitless potential.
My sentiment goes with a previous response in this thread that you should consider investing in a higher-end machine before publicizing your Minecraft experience.
In my opinion, faction servers offer the excitement of PvP and base-building/protection. Sometimes that can be very fun, but on the other hand, you're playing on a server with lots of other people, and it's difficult to accept the fact that you could lose everything you've built-up on the server depending on circumstances.
problem description: After thirty seconds of Minecraft running, the sound stops working. The temporary fix of pressing F3+S does fix the sound permanently for that session of Minecraft (until the next time I run Minecraft, then after thirty seconds, the sound stops again).
