    Do you have plans to add more varied terrain types? I do like a lot of the mountains but their frequency in most biomes makes a lot of terrain look the same.


    I'm especially talking about things like the cliffs in the BOP Jade Cliffs biome.

    INSTALLATION


    1. Download and install Minecraft Forge
    2. Download the dependency PCL v2.1.0
    3. Download the mod file
    4. Place the dependency and mod files in your mods folder (coremods folder if pre-Minecraft 1.6)

    NOTES

    • Stop replacing vanilla torches to fix a lot of incompatibility issues
    • Create new lit torch block
    • Convert vanilla torches to modded ones on world random update tick instead
    • Made torch recipe result in the new torch block
    • Mark surviving vanilla torches so users know they haven't been converted yet
    • Made unlit torches ignite when right-clicked if the player has an igniter (held or in inventory)
    • Lengthened torch update interval from once per 3 ticks to once per 24 ticks
    • Render torches at max lifespan differently to make things less confusing
    • Added "eternal" torches available only through creative mode
    • Added new torch repair recipe for unlit/used torches

    OVERVIEW

    Torches are no longer crafted as lit torches, but as unlit torches, so they will need to be lit with some sort of igniter first before it can be used as a light source. They are given lifespans so they become single-use torches and will eventually burn out. Also, they will revert to unlit torches when they come into contact with water.

    Mob behavior is also slightly modified to make them interact with the torches. Villagers will kill the village torches during the day and ignite them again at night. Zombies and skeletons may occasionally attempt to take out lit torches as well.

    Not even a week after putting up the wiki, Curseforge made the time I spent on it a total waste when they updated their site and removed the wiki feature (deleting my work in the process).

    A note on the configs:
    've set the default config to be pretty low so it won't impact much your FPS while generating new chunks, i encourage you to mess around with the configs untill you find the balance you like but beware that the higher you set the "times per chunck" option the bigger the impact on your fps when exploring new areas.

    If you have any suggestions or ideas for things that would fit well in this mod or things that i should change, please post them here, I'm always looking for new inspiration.

    About modpacks:
    I don't mind my mod being part of a modpack as long as you don't use adf.ly (or the likes) for your modpack downloads, gives proper credits to the authors and have permission from them and has a link back to the mod page.

    MC 1.6 is out, but there are still a few kinks in the conversion of texture packs to the new resource packs system. I'm waiting to convert mine until Kahr perfects MCPatcher's conversion tool. So my update to 1.6 compatibility, along with a plethora of texture additions and changes, is going to come later. Mojang needs to stop changing pack formats. >_<


    A reminder: You must be using MCPatcher(even if you only check the Better Glass option) for your glass to be visible. This will be fixed soon.

    The End is boring? Or are Enderman not enough? Then this is the mod for you: It adds 3 new ender mobs into minecraft, each with its own abillity, so the Ender Nivis can walk in water or rain without taking damage or the Ender Ignis can walk through fire or lava. All of them spawn in the End and on the Overworld in specific biomes.

    This mod is for the Minecraft ver. 1.3.2. Do not use this mod besides 1.3.2 unless you use an older version of this mod! But I won't give support when you do this.



    This mod needs some requirements to run properly:
    • Latest Version of Minecraft -> 1.3.2
    • Recommented Version of Minecraft Forge

    If you use an older version of this mod for Minecraft 1.2.5 and below, then use these instructions:
    1. Install Minecraft Forge, unless you have it already. To do so, look on tutorials somewhere (e.g. YouTube)
    2. Download the archive
    3. Open it and copy all content into the .minecraft folder.
    4. If you get asked if you want to override folders, answer in affirmative.
    5. Play Minecraft
    If you have an older version less than 1.2, use this instructions (they're ModLoader-only) :

    Easy install
    1. Install ModLoader, if it's not happened yet.
    2. Drop the zip file into the mods folder in your .minecraft directory, i.e. C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\mods
    3. Play Minecraft.
    Complicated install
    1. Navigate to the bin folder of your .minecraft directory, i.e. C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin
    2. MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR MINECRAFT.JAR!
    3. Open up the minecraft.jar with a decompression program, i.e. 7zip
    4. Install ModLoader (ModLoaderMP and Minecraft Forge; optionally for creative items support), if it's not happend yet.
    5. Delete the META-INF folder! (if it's still there)
    6. copy all files and directories from the zip into the minecraft.jar.
    7. Save and close minecraft.jar
    8. Now start Minecraft. Done.



    This mod adds some more ender mobs into the world of Minecraftia. Here I'll explain them further:


    The Ender Nivis spawn in snowy biomes. They acting like Enderman: they carry blocks (the same blocks that Endermen can carry), they attack you if you look at them (except you wear a pumpkin as helmet) and teleporting away if you hit them with a projectile. Their attack strength is 5 hearts, slightly more than Endermen. Also they drop sometimes a Nivis Pearl and the carried block upon death. Also if they try to go into water, they'll freeze it beneath their feet in a 5 by 5 circular shape.

    • The End
    • Taiga
    • snow plains
    • snow mountains
    Special Abillity:
    • can't be hurt by water (includes rain- / snowfall)
    • turns into stone during day (they don't move and don't despawn)
    • freezes water beneath its feet
    Drops:
    • carried block
    • Nivis Pearl
    The Nivis Pearl:



    The Nivis Pearl is an item, with it you can freeze water into ice, lava into obsidian (still) or cobblestone (floating), or extinguish fire. Quite useful if you want to stop lava from flowing or making ice in non-snow biomes.




    The Ender Ignis spawn in deserts. They're acting the same way as the Ender Nivis does but they can't carry blocks. Also they can be hurt by water, but - unlike the other ender mobs - they can't being hurt by fire or lava and randomly, yet rarely, sets fire in a 5 by 5 rhombus shape. They dropping sometimes a Ignis Pearl upon death.

    Spawn In:
    • The End
    • The Nether
    • Desert
    Special Abillity:
    • sets targets on fire
    • randomly sets fire in a 5x5 rhombus shape (only on the Surface)
    • can't be hurt by lava or fire
    • turns into stone during day
    Drops:
    • Ignis Pearl
    The Ignis Pearl:



    The Ignis Pearl is an item, with it you can smelt ice into water, obsidian into lava, or starting fire. Quite useful if you want to convert obsidian back into lava or smelting ice in snow biomes.





    The Ender Miss is a special kind of ender mobs: Like the name suggest, she's female and also totally passive! That means you can stare at her as long as you want or punching her, she won't attack you.
    You'll probably think now: "Why is she there? She is totally useless!" Not really, because you can tame her with a yellow flower! However it is not as easy as to tame a wolf, because you have to give her quite a lot of flowers, depending on how she feels, until she will accept you. But then she will stay with you. With a right click while holding the Ender Pet Staff (explained below), you can ride her, leth her follow or sit, and you can put her in an egg.
    "Okay, but what if I'm traveling around with her and it starts raining? Or if we fall into a pool of water?" Well, You could avoid rain and water all the way, but that's annoying. So you can dress her up with a raincoat! All you have to give her is a block of gold with right click. And since then she's totally immune to water! However she can't breathe underwater and you have to watch, that you aren't too long underwater.
    "What if she gets hurt?" You can heal her with any food you have! Porkchop, rotten flesh, bread, she eats them all!
    She can get fall damage! So be sure you give her an Avis Feather (more about that below) to make them immune to fall damage!

    Spawn In:
    • The End
    • Everywhere in the Overworld
    Special Abillity:
    • Tame them with yellow flowers
    • Let them follow you while holding a yellow flower in your hand
    • Let them sit with right clicking while holding a yellow flower in your hand
    • Ride them after right click with a redstone torch
    • Make them immune to water with a gold block
    • passive
    Drops:
    • Ender Pearl




    These huge bird-like ender mobs live in the mountains. They'll spawn in all hill biomes, like the extreme hills, jungle mountains and so on. They are neutral, that means that they'll attack you when you'll hurt them. Otherwise they'll ignore you. If you get attacked by one of them, you'll get Sickness and poison for 15 seconds, so don't provoke them unless you know what you do!
    They have nests underground which appear only in the extreme hills biome above sea level. These contain an Avis Egg, one chest and are made of all sorts of stone bricks. In there are some Ender Avis which will attack you immediately, unlike the other ones, in order to protect their egg. So be careful if you want that egg. They drop Avis Feathers.
    Also they cannot be tamed in the normal way. You have to hatch one from an egg, if you want one. After hatching, you can give them a gold block to make them immune to water and with the Ender Pet Staff you can control them. Unlike the Ender Miss, you have to saddle them if you want to ride it. Hold the SPACE key (default jump key), they'll fly up in the air, release it and you'll hover down slowly. When holding the SHIFT key (default sneak key) while in air, you'll fall down faster. However the flying and hovering cost fly condition. It will be shown to you on your HUD (alongside with the health of the Ender Avis). If it gets empty, you'll fall down and are unable to fly. You can "fill" it up with sugar.

    Spawn In:
    • all hill biomes
    • the End
    Special Abillity:
    • flying
    • attack gives sickness and poison for 15 seconds
    Drops:
    • Avis Feather
    The Avis Feather:


    This item prevents fall damage while holding and you can give it to a tamed Ender Miss, so that she don't get fall damage. You can craft Avis Arrows with these.

    The Avis Arrow:


    These arrows can be shoot with normal bows and behave like normal arrows, but they aren't affected by gravity, means that they'll fly a straight line. Also they give the target poison, or healing if the target is undead, like zombies or skeletons.
    The Avis Egg:


    You need these eggs in order to hatch a tamed Ender Avis. Once placed in complete darkness (you need to mine it from an Avis Nest and place it somewhere else) you have to wait 20 minutes (one Minecraft day). They'll spawn aggressive Ender Avis in Avis Nests in a light level below 8.




    From the deeps of the shadows, they'll come to chase you! These giant flying things act like ghasts do. In fact they do the same kind of attack, shooting projectiles at you which will explode upon impact. But these projectiles won't only hurt the player because of the explosion, they'll blinding and poisoning the player for 5 seconds. A deadly weapon if you don't watch! Like ghast balls, they can be reflected back towards the Ender Ray, or other mobs. However, don't expect them on the Surface or in the Nether, they'll spawn only in the End. The Ender Ray drop 0 - 2 Ender Flesh, rarely (2,5%) they can drop diamond stuff.

    The Ender Flesh:



    This item is eatable and gives you 1 hunger back. But unlike regular food, this gives you 1-3 random potion effects, positive and negative ones for 30 seconds. There are two other variants available:
    • crafted with 4 ender pearls and one normal Ender Flesh and you'll get the 2nd variant, which gives you only positive effects.
    • crafting:
    • crafted with 4 eyes of ender and one of the 2nd Ender Flesh variant gives you the 3rd variant with 4 times longer duration.



    --- SOME MOAR STUFF TO KNOW ---

    Avis Compass
    With this item, you can find nearby avis nests. If it doesn't find any in your location, it'll spin around continously. Else it will direct you to the location.


    Ender Pet Staff
    With this you can control your ender pet. Upon right clicking a pet with this item, you'll get a GUI where you can rename your pet, mount it, let them follow or sit and you can put them into a spawner egg which requires, unless you're in Creative, a chicken egg. You can give the spawner egg to other players if you want to give your pet to them.


    Niobium Ore
    This ore will be generated in the End. You need at least an iron pickaxe to mine it. You can smelt it into Niobium Ingots

    Niobium Ingot
    This ingot is the result of smelting Niobium Ore. You can craft them into Niobium Blocks. Besides that it has currently no use.

    Niobium Block
    This block is currently only for decoration, but it seems it has a strange behavior when powered with redstone... Currently it can't be crafted back into ingots (will be added later)




    How can you configure the mod? It’s easy! The mod creates on the first start of minecraft with it a file names “EnderMobs.txt” in the “.minecraft/config/SanAndreasP” directory.
    To configure the Mod, open up the config.txt with a text editor of your choice (I recommend Notepad++). The file should look like this:

    Any conflicts with the Mod? Try these steps:
    1. Make sure you deleted the META-INF folder!
    2. Try a different data value, if you have other mods installed! More about this see above.
    3. Try to delete the EnderMobs.txt.
    4. Try to reinstall the mod. Use your backup of the minecraft.jar.
    5. Appears an error log? Post it in the forum. I'll try to help you! If you don't get an error log or it?s gone too fast, run Minecraft in the console or post the ForgeModLoader-client-0.txt and/or ForgeModLoader-server-0.txt in your .minecraft directory (if it crashes upon start).

    What is it?
    Wacky Creepers is a small mod that adds new mobs to the game. These mobs are wacky and interesting variations on the creeper (hence the name) that will hopefully supplement your minecraft experience. This mod requires modloader, which can be found here. WackyCreepers features a config where you can select which creepers you want to spawn and how common each creeper will be. Keep in mind that this will not be necessarily the most ground breaking of mods as it is my first, but do not hesitate to criticize or (if you care to) give suggestions.     What do the creepers do?

    Fireworks Creeper
    A red and white banded creeper with its feet on fire. When it takes damage (you punch it in the face for example) it will launch itself into the air at high speeds and then explode in a big bunch of colorful sparks! Every explosion has two colors, randomly selected between white, blue, red, green, and yellow. The Fireworks creeper is the perfect creeper for any celebration that requires high explosives! Be careful though, as its explosion can cause fires if handled improperly! Fireworks creeper spawn on beaches, in the desert, or on frozen ocean.





    Poison Creeper
    Dull purple and sickly green creepers that explode in a cloud of poisonous gas which (predictably) poisons the player. They drop rotten flesh and mushrooms.




    Nature Creeper
    They masquerade as a normal creeper, but are much less harmful. When they explode they spread tall grass and flowers onto any grass (much like bonemeal except a larger affect), and place biome specific fauna (saplings on grass and cacti in deserts) as well as heal the player.




    Magic Creeper
    Bright shiny purple creepers that explode in a puff of magical smoke. They float around in mid air ad when they reach the player cast a magic spell (causing a random potion effect). They spawn anywhere and wear incredibly stylish top hats. When they die they will drop a random potion.




    Flash Creeper
    Bright yellow creepers that explode in a flash of smoke and light, but don't die upon exploding. Also blind the player, reducing vision further. They are incredibly annoying, especially if coupled with other creatures (flash creepers cause no damage on their own).




    Fish Creepers
    Dull blue and green creepers that swim around in oceans, rivers, and lakes. When they explode, their explosion holes fill in with still water, spreading their watery domains further inland. Eventually they will take over all of the land mass, muahahaha! When killed they drop raw fish.





    Party Creeper
    Pink and wildly colorful creepers that love to throw parties wherever they roam (in any biome). They explode into a dazzling cloud of rainbow confetti and leave behind a delicious cake. Yummy!




    Ninja Creeper
    Hooded and mysterious creepers that disguise as other creepers. When they get close enough they throw off their disguise and strike from above with great speed! If you manage to hit them they will teleport away (leaving a log where they were) and attack you from their new location. They are a nasty foe that is hard to trap or escape from, so if you are able to defeat them you are rewarded with some great rewards! However, they are not impenetrable in that they take double damage when not disguised! They spawn in forests (both normal and icy) and in swamps.

    New Blocks
    Here is an overview of all of the blocks added to the game:

    Igniter

    The igniter gives you control over fire. When powered by redstone, it lights on fire. Light monsters on fire and watch them burn at a safe distance!


    One-way Glass

    This block is pretty simple: On all sides but one it looks like normal glass, but at the right angle it looks like smooth stone. Look at monsters falling into your traps when they can't see you!


    Sticky Sand (And Gravel)

    This allows for much easier pitfall traps, closing doors, secret passage ways, ect. When placed, it looks like regular sand but doesn't fall, and when it is powered by redstone or an adjacent block is removed, it falls just like normal sand. As a bonus, it can even aid in your sand castle making! Sticky gravel works exactly the same.


    Spikes

    All of the current ways of damaging players have there own problems. Lava and fire are hard to control, and cactus is has strict rules about how it can be placed. However, for the price of a few iron, spikes are placed just like normal blocks and deal damage 3 times faster the cactus and doesn't destroy the items dropped by dead creatures.


    Trap Chest

    One problem with traps has always been triggering them. Pressure pads is the common solution, but these are not hard to avoid if the player observant. This block looks just like a normal chest, but when right clicked on, instead of opening, the latch turns red and it activates redstone around it.

    Here is a list of things we are planning on adding to the mod when we get the chance. Please note that we are begging modders, so all of this stuff may take a while as we are still figuring stuff out.
    • Bug fixes - There seems to be numerous bugs, so we are going to work on those.
    • Bait blocks - Blocks that attract mobs. Meat blocks will attract monsters and hay blocks will attract animals.
    • Spikes on walls - So you can have smashing spike plates!
    • Other types of one-way glass - one way glass made of other materials.
    • Multiplayer mod - This may take a while, but we will try to make a bukkit plugin or something for this mod.
    Bugs:
    • Igniter has to un- and re-light ever 10 seconds or so.
    Please report any bugs you find so we can fix them.
