I got it to work now.
Yes, this is for my custom entity class.
I think the potion effect should be applied the moment I spawn the mob into the world.
Where should I call it from specifically?
I have a question. Can I do the same thing when the player is wearing a full set of armor?
Awesome, I got it to work! Thank you very much for your help!
What's the modifier name?
I'm wanting to modify the attributes of the player's health by adding more hearts. So what sort of modifier needs to be applied?
In case you were wondering, all classes were found under package net.minecraft.entity.ai.attributes
I'm curious as to what Attribute Modifiers are. What I'm wanting to know is
1. What their purpose(or purposes) is in Minecraft.
2. How I can use them for my custom classes.
3. I also want to know about a few other classes I found that were with the Attribute Modifier class. (I'll list them below)
BaseAttribute
BaseAttributeMap
IAttribute
IAttributeInstance
ModifiableAttributeInstance
RangedAttribute
ServersideAttributeMap
/** * adds a PotionEffect to the entity */ public void addPotionEffect(PotionEffect p_70690_1_) { if (this.isPotionApplicable(p_70690_1_)) { if (this.activePotionsMap.containsKey(Integer.valueOf(p_70690_1_.getPotionID()))) { ((PotionEffect)this.activePotionsMap.get(Integer.valueOf(p_70690_1_.getPotionID()))).combine(p_70690_1_); this.onChangedPotionEffect((PotionEffect)this.activePotionsMap.get(Integer.valueOf(p_70690_1_.getPotionID())), true); } else { this.activePotionsMap.put(Integer.valueOf(p_70690_1_.getPotionID()), p_70690_1_); this.onNewPotionEffect(p_70690_1_); } } }
This is what you were talking about correct?
Is there a method I can use that can add a potion effect(i.e regeneration) to a hostile mob?
I understand what you are saying. I see now that it doesn't matter which level method that I use, which was what I was confused on earlier.
A creeper blew up and killed me the second I got to the nether.
This is a bit confusing.
