posted a message on 1.12 - JSON Text Component (for /tellraw, /title, books, signs)
I've been tinkering with the new book addition coming to MC 1.8. Though I'm surprised no one has stated or asked, how does one go about page breaks? Or do I have to make a ton of spaces? (Haven't tried additional spaces yet, so I assume it breaks onto another page?)

posted a message on Adventurize.com In-game Advertising Beta - Is your server low on funds? Earn money, and easily keep it funded!
I just installed the plugin a few days ago, and I haven't seen advertisements show up yet. I saw a post earlier that you guys are doing some work, but nothing is stated on the site. Kinda misleading to those looking at the site, might want to put up a notification to those who are logged in at least.

    Also, a couple suggestions.
Assuming the timer starts counting as soon as the server starts. A way to force what times of the hour the advertisements appear? I have a 10 minute interval Tips message that appear (random message from a list of tips), which is set to appear every 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, and top of the hour. Though it's unlikely that the advertisements appear at nearly the same time of the tips, I'd like to set a way to force it to appear on every 5, 15, 25, 35, 45, 55. I would set the timer to 15, but it could overlap with the tips every other time. This is assuming if the server is started/restarted on a close hour interval with the timed messages.

A possible command to run to see a random advertisement. If anything, with a cool down so no one could cause issues.

They have a long list of changes, additions, and fixes in the upcoming update. Needless to say, they have to make sure that each change they make, doesn't break or change something unintentionally.
Personally, I'm glad they are taking their time. If they went too fast between updates, we'd all be expecting new stuff every week/month. They are pacing themselves so they don't get burned out, and pacing us so we don't get spoiled, too much at least.

posted a message on 1.8 name changes can screw over server owners
If the player was smart, before changing their name, they would check with the server(s) they like to play on if it's safe to change their name, or what issues they might have.
I'm sure most plugins will be updated to work with the new UUID, some older ones, that work after many many versions, will require an update, or none at all.

However, if you don't use a ban plugin, I could see there being a slight issue, but it would not be a permanent issue in the end. Either the people won't remember you and join, or just need a re-ban.

For realms, it's a small fee. You can't go public without inviting people, so no real way to entice people to donate/give money. If you really wanted to add features with a small server setup like this, use command blocks.

What's going on with mediafire? I'd be glad to add an alternate link i just want to know what the issue is.

I know the thread is a tad old, but to state what is wrong. If you download the file with music, mediafire notices the music and denies access to the download. If you try to download the non-music form, it can't be opened as the file is seen as being corrupt.

Other than that, any news on possible updates to the pack?

posted a message on Setblock doesn't like too many quotations
I honestly not certain as for the best place to put this. This topc consists of a plugin running a command during an event, which sets a commandblock with a command. The command is slightly different each time however.

I'd like to use a tellraw command instead of the plugin's announcement, mainly for the fact users could click parts of the message to find out more message, or run the /vote command to see details on how to vote.

I use a vote notifier plugin which I can use to run commands. I figured I could use a tellraw command. Problem is, the tellraw comand requires a target. I have no way to have the tellraw command to send to all players, as you would normally do so with @a in a command block.

I figured I could use the setblock command to place a redstone blocked, then later remove it, to power a command block to run the tellraw command. The only downside is, I can't state which player voted, or what site they voted. This is currently the only solution I can find.

The best way I could find, which does not work with setblock due to the number of quotations that are used. I was thinking of using the setblock command to set a commandblock with the command inside on a redstone block, then remove it. The command the commandblock would have is varried from use to use, with the variables of the Player name and where they voted.

On trial runs of the last idea I had, this:
    setblock 80 50 -2853 command_block 1 replace {Command:"tellraw @a {"text":"","extra":[{"text":"[HAL 9000]: ","color":"red"},{"text":"%name% ","color":"yellow"},{"text":"/voted ","color":"aqua","clickEvent":{"action":"run_command","value":"/vote"},"hoverEvent":{"action":"show_text","value":"Click to see how to Vote."}},{"text":"at ","color":"red"},{"text":"%service% ","color":"yellow"},{"text":"and Recieved a Reward!","color":"red","hoverEvent":{"action":"show_text","value":"Voting While Logged Into Survival Receives: 3 XP Potions, 10McDough Per Vote. Offline: Only 30McDough."}}]}"}

Resulted in this, in the console:
[10:49:39] [Server thread/INFO]: Data tag parsing failed: Unexpected token 't' at: text":"","extra":[{"text":"[HAL 9000]: ","color":"red"},{"text":"%name% ","color":"yellow"},{"text":"/voted ","color":"aqua","clickEvent":{"action":"run_command","value":"/vote"},"hoverEvent":{"action":"show_text","value":"Click to see how to Vote."}},{"text":"at ","color":"red"},{"text":"%service% ","color":"yellow"},{"text":"and Recieved a Reward!","color":"red","hoverEvent":{"action":"show_text","value":"Voting While Logged Into Survival Receives: 3 XP Potions, 10McDough Per Vote. Offline: Only 30McDough."}}]}"

Version 1.2.0 is the same as 1.1.7 with some added functions.
Maybe it "protects you" from it because the file was downloaded?

Possibly, it's the first time I've ever seen the protect message come up like that.

So just got 1.2.0, windows 8 "protects" me from using it. What changes did you make that would cause 1.1 to work and 1.2 to be blocked?

    version: core=1.9-1760, plugin=1.9-800
Got an odd issue. While still trying to get dynmap's full render to carry over from sever restarts (nightly).
I decided to do a full dynmap reset, as in the whole folder deleted. (I even tried a full dynmap run on complete default).

I currently cannot seem to get dynmap to do a full render, when I do, it says the world is paused, world unloaded.
