So now what somebody needs to do is this:
Make a Minecraft mod that hosts a local server.
Make a Scratch extension that sends requests to the local server.
When the Minecraft mod gets the requests, it modifies the Minecraft world.
Sound cool?
He probably built it in spawn chunks. Or maybe used the /spreadplayers command on an entity to keep the chunks loaded?
What's the progress on the Mac OS X version?

It is simply what it says: pixel format not accelerated. Check out this Minecraft support page for help.

Keep playing the 1.9 snapshots.

Perfect, this works. Thanks for the help!
I'd prefer not to use a plugin. Count them one by one? Great idea!
Whoops, every non-air block (regardless of generated or placed or whatever) above the player's head.

Just use the NBT tag Command when setting the minecraft:command_block:

You'd have thought this question would be answered somewhere on the forums but I can't find the solution.
I want to detect the number of blocks that are placed above the player's head. The number of blocks has to be stored in a scoreboard objective for each player, i.e. if PlayerA has 10 non-air blocks above their head, PlayerA's scoreboard objective (let's call it "blocks") will be 10.
Is there a way I can achieve this using command blocks? I figured it would have to do something with command stats but I can't seem to figure it out.

Wall of text..
Do you actually have a method of doing this (besides using ComputerCraft)?

This won't work in 1.9, because all NBT tags need to be quoted, i.e. {"text": "[TEXT]", "color": "[COLOR]"}
0
Not really. If you want to do that you'll need to op everybody who you want to be able to use command blocks.

Could you please explain why it's bad, in your opinion?

I very highly doubt somebody's going to buy you a rank. Save up and buy one yourself..?

That's okay! I also recommend only using the formatting features where you need to format things (or if you could use formatting to make things look better). Here's an example adventure map page I'd make:
Insert centered TextCraft (or hand made!) logo here
Wow, this is an amazing description! It will really make player swant to play my game!
(Insert trailer video here)

Download link: example.com/mycoolmapwithanamazingname.zip (Note you could also use the Insert a Minecraft World button!)
If you found this map fun, whenever I make an adventure map I also release a trailer on my YouTube account here.
Have fun!

Ever hear of the detector rail?

Just use the edit feature of the forums...

I'm not sure if you're still active and/or want to continue this project (it looks cool!) but I feel like mentioning that in Minecraft 1.9 potion colors are defined by their effects, perhaps you can look into making a utility to get potion colors in 1.9?

Well, aren't you lucky!
