@Bob: You're talking like these changes may be made in the future, but you're basically saying "Keep it as it is now". I see no reason for keeping it free. Notch is making money from this, and, seeing how things are going right now, he's likely to make a lot more, and I don't think he'd have it any other way.
I play alot of those text based games where each day your earn ACTION POINTS or (AP) what about every minute you can add or delete 10 blocks, I mean greifers wouldnt want to spend time wasting it like that but us real players wouldnt mind since we're making something so cool anyway. Its the perfect solution.
That is an incredibly long time to wait. What if you're tunneling through the ground? It would take forever. Besides, just like it's been pointed out in other threads, some griefers are very patient. And anyway, block-destroying delays are for survival mode.
when you crouch you should be able to jump higher too so you can jump 2 blocks at a time. And a sprint button so you can crouch jump REALL far!
Oh man, this made me laugh so hard.
And I don't like the 'crouching morphs you into a block' idea. It's just a bit random and it wouldn't really fool anyone. Unless your skin was made out of a dirt block or something, then it might work, but that's more of a requirement...
Personally, I'd start feeling sick after seeing the absurdly bright colours people would choose, like green, pink, yellow and black, all standing together in a crowd. I would prefer the colours plain white as they currently are.
Isn't the game supposed to be cliché type fantasy? With all of the other info (melee combat, basic armour) put together, I had thought that it was more set in Medievil times, and I'm pretty sure they weren't using fuel back then for anything. I don't see any point in oil.
I had always assumed that Night was planning to be implemented in the first place.
As for the plants, maybe you could have the moon shining onto the blocks...? I know the moon has nothing to do with photosynthesis, but you'd at least be able to see which blocks had shade and which blocks were out in the open.
I really don't think protection is needed at all. The whole idea just sounds ridiculous to me. If block protection was around, people wouldn't be able to expand on buildings or anything like that. It's basically just op blocks that everyone can use, except they're not as easy to delete. If a person built something massive and then left the server and never came back, it'd be just sitting there for ages until the server reset, and nobody would be able to do anything about it.
And there's people complaining about op blocks, saying that it's selfish to have them build stuff out of them to keep their buildings uneditable by the public.
Well, I'd like a much darker colour than the currently darkest cloth colour, but I think the colour between the white and stone-coloured cloth should be changed. Does anybody use that colour? I don't, but I'm not sure if any other people do.
And I think brown/beige should be implemented, as well as black. They're the only two colours missing!
Haha, that's nice! The clothing could use a little more texture, though, like the default's. I have to learn how to do this, myself, actually. My Liru skin could use some texturing on the skin on her arms and body, because right now they look as bland as blocks of cheese.
