The Wii really does deserve more respect. And you're right, the systems that are out right now were aimed at different audiences. The only ones that really competed with each other are Sony and Microsoft.

I prefer my Xbox 360, but I'll play on anything. They're all great systems in my opinion, every single one of them is a wonder of innovation.

You should be able to install the program, like you normally would, but when it asks where you want to save it to... save it to the portable drive. That way all the program files are in the USB drive. Then, when you want to run the program, find the programs .exe file on your USB and double click it. It should run fine.

    Okay, thanks man.

    +1 for helping me out.

Can someone please PM me, or Skype me with instructions on how to run a program like GIMP (Or any other for that matter) in a portable mode.

    I'd really appreciate it.

Can't virtually any program do that? Or am I horribly mistaken?

How would you do it though?

The only way that I know how to run a program in a portable mode, is through the PortableApps platform.

*EDIT* - I know it sounds noob-ish, but I'm not too experienced with running things in a portable mode without some kind of program to help me out.

Get Photoshop CS 5.5 extended, Its worth it. Try putting a parrot on your shoulder.

I'm planning on getting it once I get the money. But like I said, my last insurance bill really hurt my wallet (If you know what I mean.).

GIMP is free and fairly powerful considering you don't have to pay for it.

GIMP is really nice equivalent to Photoshop...

Thanks guys, I'll check it out.

Also, I'd like to find one that I can put on my external hard-drive and run in a portable mode. If anyone knows of a program that can do that, that would be even better. :wink.gif:

    I need a photo editor.

Does anyone know of a program that is comparable to Adobe Photoshop?

It's okay if it's a paid-for program, but it'd be even better if it's a free one. I'd like to get Photoshop, but I don't currently have the money. (My last insurance bill was a pain in the ass.).

If anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear it.

Jobs are a great way to make money.

So why don't you look for one of those, rather than asking people on forums how to make money?

*EDIT* - And I'm sure you'll make atleast $30 by you're first check. Which you would get about 2 weeks after you start working.

Currently it isn't a major server...It will be when I host it. That wouldn't be until I finish the server.

I'm going to add you on Skype, I (think) my name is levifitch, or something along those lines.

I haven't used Skype in forever, lol.

Is this going to be a major server? Or just something that you run from a home computer.

    Either way I'm interested.

I'd like to be either a Head Admin or an Admin, could you please list the responsibilities you would require for those positions?

And I don't know if you'll believe me or not, but I'll tell you I'm trustworthy, and I'll give you my word that if you let me take either of those positions I won't disappoint you.

Why not just setup a batch file that redirects the launcher lol? That's what I do.

Yeah, I've got 9 different Minecraft installations. I keep them all in a folder on my external hard drive.

I just set them up to run in a portable mode, so I can plug in and play them anywhere.
