Is penetration/retrievability the same thing right now or two seperate things? lol I'm a little confuzzled. I think we should only have the penetration % with ability to pick up any arrows that are found. I think I understand If the % activates it either bounces off intact or penetrates on kill intact. I think both ways are cool, more arrows will get lost though if they all penetrate. Would make sense too arrows that get stuck in the target probably break often, ones that penetrate are still more intact sort of, lol brick wall.

I would agree with you on the flint for the moment, only because you can keep placing gravel right now until you get flint, if you get a flint you lose a gravel. If Mojang fixes that (one time chance at flint per gravel and maybe even reduce the chance) then I think the 20% should be added. Heck you could add a sifter block that could find the right amount of arrowheads for it to be balanced. Gravel goes in and has maybe a 5% chance to pull out a flint arrowhead and the gravel could become sand or a decorative garden "tiny pebbles" block, kinda like some playgrounds have. That's one arrowhead for every 20 gravel on average, might be a tiny bit rare but can always be adjusted. I'm not suggesting to alter/remove vanilla arrows, they should not penetrate/bounce off at all. Yes, adding flint and obsidian later will be a breeze.

You need the long bow so that you can make it not able to receive infinity enchantment (also means arrows are exclusive to your bow) and add the velocity one only for your bow, this would be a new enchantment that you would name. This isn't urgent but I'm sure someone could help/teach with the enchantment part. Maybe there's some videos on youtube about it.

As for the speed potion the idea is good but not as strong as planned for the enchantment, str potion could increase velocity 10% and speed potion fire rate by 10% possibly more but let's start small. I don't know a lot about potions yet I haven't really made/used them. perhaps potions could be added to the arrow recipes to give a 5% enchantment bonus per potion 10% for golden arrows. Maybe limit it to 4 potions max per recipe. This could also lead to splash damage arrows with splash potions, splash could add either % of potion damage or arrow damage i don't which one yet. Or a splash potion + 8 arrows could add the reg potion effect to the eight arrows, up to 4 "Imbues" per arrow. This could be added later as well once your more comfortable with enchantments. You may have to create your own Imbue system for the arrows but it would be very similar to enchanting.

Multikill bonuses sound fun perhaps for drop rates too, I like both ideas but I'm leaning towards penetration so more arrows can get lost. I should show you what I'm working on, the game gets really dark when it's dark so arrows would get lost for me :P

Between fewer arrows made and the slight damage reductions being made It makes up for the longevity of some of the arrows.

This is the link to the Sildur's nVidia Shader pictures I took, someone else said it wasn't opening for them but I'll let you try it. I just verified my email so it'll prolly work now.

I never said you were... some people have slower computers and are worried about performance multimc and optifine would help those people. You must not one of those people. Not only that multimc is very nice for modding, I was never trying to be rude or imply that you are stupid where did you get that from?

Yeah I just realized that I needed to verify my email, give it another try and let me know if it's still down please. Sorry about that.

Currently I do not have a server version of better snow because it would confuse the clients, but if the clients had bettersnow it would work. I am actually considering writing a server version, but considering how log it takes to update the client version... About it not generating naturally in vanilla, ironically mojang said they did not do that because it would not work, and while they were saying that I had already released this mod.

    I believe in you!

for <insert name of favorite deity> sake! don't be such a fanboy. A mod dev that does not communicate and fails to deliver (due to whatever reasons) should be criticized.

I haven't. But if I ever wrote a mod and it was proven awesome and then I couldn't keep up with the game version, I'd GIVE IT AS A GIFT to someone who COULD. I don't give a damn about tons of possible new content as long as I can't get major game/modpack update just because someone didn't bother to quickly adapt existing content to latest version and then work on new contents without making trouble to others. If she can't do it alone - no one stops her from establishing contacts with other modmakers and making an efficient team.

I am a fan because I understand what she is doing and I agree with her! I am not begging her to update, if you had actually read my post you would realize that, I said I have alternatives until she updates. You want to jump into a conversation and attack people when you have no idea what's going on.

If she gave this mod to someone as a gift to update every week the mod would completely die period! No one knows the code better than she does and it would take atleast 3-4x longer for anyone else to update it other than her. Then to be expected to have it updated every week? That person would give up and pass it to someone and they gave up and so on until everyone gives up. Would makes you think anyone would want that responsibility/embarrassment?

I hate that cool mod is created by someone unable to keep up with the changes and protected by sick US copyright laws from anyone wishing to keep it alive and kicking. Suing for copying some third-party, free-to-download modification that has no real legal documents and having even a slim chamce to succeed in such a stupid act... Sick law for sick and avaricious people.

With all due respect, eloraam needs public relations manager and a enthusiast team to keep this mod up to date without once-a-month life signs and delaying a whole modpack from a full scale update.

It's quite possible that when it's updated no one but some bunch of butt-kissers will give a damn about this mod, 'cause some clever people will recreate every aspect of it without most bugs and being a slowpoke burdening whole mod packs by not updating when everyone else did.
It's awesome, I like most of its aspects, but I hate when sluggishness and social awkwardness along with those crappy copyright issues make awesome ideas slowly wither and die and be forgotten.

Where is/are your mod/s? Have you written any? If so is it anywhere near as big? The last "CLEAN" version of minecraft is 1.4.7 You want her to update the mod constantly and never add anything to it? That will kill a mod. Go get multimc and play 1.4.7 with all your OP mods because you really don't need a hopper that badly. You can't even read two posts, either that or you don't understand how much work is involved before you make a spam post... If I only updated a mod 100 times over and over I'd quit too, she wants to add to it, personally I want her to add to it as well.

And thank you bigeaspk! Nice to know a few people are on her side.

Ok so... the bump wave shader has the same bug as cel shaders so I won't bother with pictures on that one but that's ok because... The nVidia shader is way way better than I thought I was running around minecraft np. So hear you go over 100 pictures to drool over. Sildurs nVidia shader with minor adjustments by me. The rain and snow were not visible with his shader, you mentioned something about raster and vector textures? maybe that is why but even so it is awesome. With a darker blue the water will be less transparent which I will like. I think you get what like 3 water and lava textures that's awesome!

I want to use the SEUS texture pack fix with the bump wave shader, for the lighting effects it adds. I just need to be able to adjust the sunlight and maybe the moonlight. It is currently way too dark during the day, I mentioned the same thing to Naelego in his forum. Might make a nice adjustable feature if features get built in again soon. You'll see what I mean in the pictures of Naelego's shader.

LOL I took a butt ton of pictures for you! There's seems to be a difference in optifine connected textures on and off but looks good either way. Sphax used to have a beautiful medium dark blue dynamic water texture in 1.4.7 I can't believe they took it out, I think you should take a look at it, the color was beautiful in the environmont. Their dynamic lava in 1.4.7 was great too! Enjoy, I hope these inspire you man! :P

So I found a way to get shaders working with 1.5.1 and I want to share some pictures with you. These pictures have SEUS texture fix added to your pack, although I don't think he has a link up for it at the moment. I'm sure that if you show him the pictures, he'll send you the fix. I don't use his shaders because they don't seem to work well with my nVidia graphics card. Once you have the fix you can offer a shader version of your texture pack as well. I would also offer a link to it for the GLSL shaders forum, they are not officially offering 1.5.1 yet and neither is optifine officially offering their version for it. I don't mind giving you the fix and stuves or the adjusted shaders but I don't want to post them openly, you can do that once they ok it, which I'm sure they will or they can them post them for you. I don't need to be credited when you/they get downloads, just from you when you give it to them. The unaltered shaders are all available/linked on the GLSL forum.

I noticed that your tall grass isn't waving in the wind I'm not sure why this is, but I wanted to mention it, also Naelego's shader is perfect for your texture pack I really wanted to point that out because it may influence how you want to design your textures, the leaves are a perfect example of this. I'm gonna post this now but I'll do another post here soon with 3 more examples, I'll even check for and update for the texture before I do the other 3, so this can be a teaser.

Naelego's Cel Shaders 1.0.3 with SEUS texture pack fix(I didn't know how to alter it and it has a daylight bug too dark during the day)

I'll post these images once I get take them.
    bump-shadow-waving-0.9.2-130306-LeoTiger with texture pack fix
Naelego's Cel Shaders 1.0.3 without SEUS texture pack fix
Sildurs Shaders v11 RC1.1 NVIDIA-LeoTiger with texture pack fix (works really well for Nvidia especially with multicore chunkloading fix) I may try to do a short phone rec for this at some point to show how well I'm running it.

The idea with HQ shaders, even if they bog you down, is to show off your world not necessarily play with it all the time, I will likely use cel shaders more often, no idea if it can somehow be overlayed or how that would look but it is an idea. Although the cel shades may need to be more fine for the HQ shaders.

Feel free to post these images! Just named it SixtyGigx64_5-4-2013_MC-151, thought you might like that as well.

Hey Naelego, I ran into something that I don't know how to adjust. I would light to adjust the sun/moon brightness, maybe individually if possible. I have no idea how I would edit this. I know I could take out the adjust light thingy out of the texture pack, but I actually want it in there for the effect.

Pretty happy with how this looks at night and in caves.
    https://www.dropbox....cel shader post
But during the day from the sunlight it's too dark. I believe the torch light is redder than daylight so a fix shouldn't be red like that everywhere. Feel free to post the night pictures after the fix.

Although It won't get read by the people we want to have read and understand this :P

I'm pretty sure I understand what's going on, she is a perfectionist, nothing bad or wrong with it I am too. A lot of people have no idea how much work is going on here, modding takes time and RP2 is a big and awesome mod. She is probably rewriting a lot of RP2 maybe splitting things into modules and stuff like that. A lot of people are unhappy right now, but she knows that she is going to be dealing with a new api eventually so she probably wants to add less stuff for the moment, less to convert, and make what she has better as well as an easier conversion. Someone is gonna try to replace it, go right ahead, when she's done, it won't be long before she blows it out of the water and you just wasted your time. Honestly it's silly to update to 1.5 right away because look at how fast 1.5.1 and 1.5.2 came out and would need new updates how much stuves is she gonna be able to add/improve if she is constantly updating? I think she likes to wait until Mojang is happy with the version and has fixed all the bugs before she updates, why waste your time? She is not a slave guys she is an awesome talented modder, just wait, she will BLOW YOUR MINDCRAFT!

You want her to come out of her shell? Stop harassing her! Then thank her for not dumping the mod in the midst of all of it like I'm about to do, THANKY YOU ELORAAM!!! I don't understand this talk about replacements either, I see RP2 as well as BuildCraft and/or IndustrialCraft, Equivalent Exchange, ThaumCraft, and a few other mods as CORE mods. They each individually add to minecraft in a mostly balanced way, cough EE cough (they'll find a balance). I pick 1, if i do BD and IC2 I turn off quarrys, basically the whole auto build module and the suits/weapons that are retardly/retardedly (Couldn't decide :P) OP, EE ones are OP too and the BD pipes are a little easy to make they can keep everything basically the same just make a pipe building block (require atleast some ironblocks maybe a diamond or two, 1 building material in middle 8 panes makes two pipes. I think a lot of us have strayed too far from vanilla MineCraft which is exactly what Notch and Jeb were/are being careful not to do themselves to avoid ruining the game. So I have replacements I can use until RP2 is updated and yes you can build quarries and auto builders with RP2 but they are homemade and lots of creative fun. You put a bunch of those mods together and your basically in creative mode, so why even bother adding the mods, just play in creative, some people play creative on top of all of them... lol (which it perfect for new players to learn about the mods and how to use them). I think it's time we all get back into the adventure, the lurking dangers, and the sense of accomplishment when you build something you actually EARNED that made most all us fall in love with MineCraft to begin with.

I propose that Mojang incorporate an OPTIONAL system that you could turn on or OFF, which would attempt to maintain their idea of balance within MineCraft, based on which mods are chosen, perhaps even down to modules, an OPTIONAL system for people that want to play MineCraft with mods in a balanced creative environment approved by Mojang, with possible suggestions to OP/afflicted mods that could offer ALTERNATE modules to be included. Maybe sort mods by CORE, MODules (mods and partial mods where mods and modules get filtered by which CORE mod is chosen and can include partial CORE modules) and Tweaks ("Tweaks" could never be OP and only classified as that by Mojang as well as CORE). As well as explanations allowing modders to provide ALTERNATE modules, and to hopefully cure some cases of crabbies. This function would be OPTIONAL so don't squeal pigglets!

A brand new version of MineCraft should really be treated more like a snapshot until all the bugs are fixed, how badly do you need hoppers when you got pipes??? MultiMC is an awesome program that let's you play older versions, and have multiple modded MineCraft jars, each with their own saves I highly recommend it! You can have Multiple single CORE modded jars and a sandbox jar, so you can still experience all your favorite mods, and not all at once if you want balance. Mojang would be wise to follow in it's footsteps. So stop harassing modders, stop spamming forums with useless info (if 5 people mention a bug that's more enough (but I don't want to read a 2000 page forum, yeah because of all the ******* spam...)) Forums need to be able to wipe their forum clean, an archive function could do this while still allowing access and improving development. Let them get more actual work done, and you will see an improvement in mod development while improving your immunity to crabbies.

I wasn't too harsh now was I? I posted a Red Torch Lever request in the request section that I think would look really good in RP2 if you like the idea Eloraam, again THANKY YOU so much and I can't wait to see what is to come. I'm sure there are tons of grammar/spelling errors, frankly who gives a ****, loosen up and have some fun! :P
