I'm pretty sure I installed Forge correctly, mostly because it's simple. And the one time I missed a step it wouldn't work at all.

As for Millenaire, I installed it here:

    %appdata%\.minecraft\mods

The Readme in the zip is quite simple and self explanatory about where to put stuff now. (All of it goes into "mods".)

If the instructions are up to date, then I didn't install it wrong :)

You installed it right yes but the instructions don't tell you to put anything in the coremods folder,

I don't know why felinoel said that you installed it wrong, you are right about the mod having a high CPU usage, i recommend a 3.0GHz duel core CPU minimum. It does seem that the slower your computer is the more bugs you have I don't have any bugs on my gaming machine but on my laptop and mac i do. Now I'm not sure that all the bugs are related to performance but it seems that some are especially the ticking bugs.

Dedicating more RAM to minecraft helps with loading chunks but not with lag spikes. A large CPU helps a lot too. I got nearly 400 FPS on vanilla minecraft but with millenaire I get a very unstable frame rate anywhere between 30-120. I know having any frame rate above 70 fps is useless as most screen refresh rates don't go above that and he human eye can only process 150 fps anyway, but its still a significant drop and shows what a resource intensive mod it is.

Ah, someone felt the need to let me know they responded . . . so I'll be a bit more responsive.

It'd be nice if the installation instructions were up to date. But they're not, so I had to try my best . . . install Forge as per every other time I installed it. (Open "minecraft.jar" in WinRAR and drop in the files to overwrite after making a backup. Delete META-INF. Run.) Now I drop Millenaire into the "Mods" folder, not the "coremods". Other way, it simply doesn't start.

The installation instructions are up to date I wrote them an there are several up to date videos too. Reading the instructions on the wiki would have caused you less stress.

Small question, is min_village_distance the distance between villages? Because I set it t0 650, but clusters of 4 still spawn together.

Those clusters are supposed to be close together. It's a town sorrounded by hamlets. It's supposed to be like that. You can't change that distance.

Works for me. Could you say what, particularly, you don't like about the wiki? Do you mean, you have issues with the way it is formatted? The fact that some pages are still unfinished stubs? Or the advertisements?

... Wait. "stand alone" you say? Or, perhaps you mean all that wiki content isn't part of some other wiki you may already have an account on, and you don't want to create yet another account somewhere?

He's an admin on the wiki though he hasn't been on in a long time. Apart from a few days ago.

Millenaires attack passive creatures from other mods(DivineRPG) and the creatures kill them because they have big life/damage. Can you put a config file to avoid millenaires trying to hunt all entities?, like an exception list. thanks

I saw your suggestion on the npc suggestion page, I moved into the compatibility page as that's what it really is.

Brand new..? Whatever happened to archiving the old suggestions like I used to do before?

We decided to format it better and rather tan sorting the hundreds of suggestions on the old page we just renamed it and left then all sitting there. It got kinda full. No one was archiving them as there was too many. And we ran out of active admins.

So now there is a new page with sub pages for the categories. Less cluttered.

Woah felineol calm down. Didn't need to say that on the other page. I had my laugh. I like those kind of people who make sure that everyone knows what they are on about. And then you come along and start insulting me. It wasn't your business.

Has there been any word on when this will get updated for 1.4.6? Obviously this time of year brings more important things in to priority so I wouldn't expect anything soon. However, 1.4.6 caught me by surprise. I was about to put up a server on a new (to hosting MC) PC with Millenaire being the center of gravity for the server, just for some friends to test out while I take my family away for a holiday for a few days.

I do know people that ignore any form of celebrations around this time of year and wouldn't bat an eyelid to spend Christmas day updating a mod (not many though......at all). But I'm a patient person, so in the meantime I'll run it as a vanilla server, these guys have never even used mods before, shock-horror I know. Sorry if this comes off as deserving, wasn't going for that angle at all.

I like how you pointed out that you were running an MC server. This is an MC forum. You think we all gonna think your hosting a battlefield 3 server?

Building. Been trying to find some, got lost. D:

Which building requires grass? I play with the Japanese villages all the time and Rasseru above made the Japanese culture. I don't think any building has grass. Do you mean leaves? Name which building it is.

    Hi,

I have a problem that I'm looking for help with:

My spawn point was near a Japanese village, across a river, but within the normal build radius. However, consulting the village's map, I built up a home in a non-green area and sunk a few weeks worth of gameplay into it.

Unlike an Indian village for instance, which requires a lot of intervention (especially of the qila type), with mud and cooked bricks, the Japanese village happily chugs along except for needing wool here and there. I was happy with this arrangement, until the village started building around my setup. I play with IC2, Buildcraft, Railcraft etc. and so I have a pretty complex logic-gate setup, oil refinery etc. (that is to say, not something I can replace easily).

The building only demolished a few minor things, but I'm worried the merciless wooden spade of the builder will end up demolishing my other stuff. I'd rather not destroy the village and mess up my reputation - is there a way I can stop them building in general - at least on my turf? Of course you lose rep for striking a villager, but what if I just blew up the offending building with TNT or a nuke? Would they just rebuild it on the same spot?

    Cheers!

Don't build on their land, they own that land and can do whatever they want. You can buy land off them and develop it anyway you want.

Is the villagers being immune to fire a bug or a feature? My friend's little sister has been on a kill all the villagers binge so I setup a world just for her to be destructive but we were both quite disappointed when the villagers were chillin in the lava on fire without a care in the world haha. Is there a way to turn that off? Thanks and take care!

It's to stop them from committing suicide. They take no fall range either.

    I was ignored again... Sigh.

We have a perfectly good suggestion page on the wiki so don't post them here. The only one working on the mod is the creator. He also has other things to do such as his job. He can't be glued to the forums.
