There were, honestly, many reasons why we had shut down.
- Lack of community playing
- Lack of donations
- Admins and Mods were getting less and less enthused.
- Lack of advertisement (no matter how hard we tried)
- And last, but not least, lack of the owner (me) having server ownership experience.
We tried to stop the shutdown from happening, and I know a lot of people are nostalgic over the thought of any of my servers. It had to happen though. I had my reign as Original Zombie Survival Server Creator, but it ended just a little over our year anniversary of the first zombie survival server being created.
I know some people did not play, or stopped playing, because of my lack of experience. I didn't make some decisions I should have made, and I made some decisions I shouldn't have made. Those were honestly a giant part of the shutdown. I remember, early Plague, it was constantly full. But it slowly died down, and drastically died after our co-owner (amazing man, might I add) Vaquxine had left. He was a giant part of the building of the community and server. We didn't have much of a community, but of the community we did have, they were amazing, fun, and loving. It was an amazing honor meeting everyone I've met making these servers. Most of them, I'll be friends with for a long, long time! One of them, Skirmisher47 (my admin-leader) is an amazingly talented Irishman who makes AMAZING CTM, PVP, etc maps. He puts a lot of work into his maps, and we're still close friends!
I couldn't have done it without my admins and mods. All of my admins were picked from Medieval Zombie Siege, except for one I believe. And all of them earned it. They were here through many tragic incidents with the server, and helped with everything!
Also, don't be sad about the shut down. I hope the Plague will be resurrected one day, but until then we DO have another server being planned. Very small work, and just ideas, going into it now.
Thanks for all the love and support! Happy gaming
