You can grow them in any biome that you can grow any other tree in, as long as you have the roofed oak saplings. -

In all seriousness, I like this new default skin and welcome the variation it will bring to servers full of people who can't be bothered to get new skins. Now instead of just being Steve, Steve, Steve, someone with a skin, Steve; it will instead be more like Steve, Alex, Steve, guy with a skin, Alex. Any variation is an improvement.

Considering that we can just suffocate them with bedrock, I doubt the effectiveness of this as a means of ending nether star farming.

The OP says that "1.7.9 is the same thing as 1.7.90" and then goes on to say "so it just really bugs me that the new Minecraft update is technically all the way back before 1.7.2." This shows that OP holds the common belief that update numbers are decimals, since according to the 1.7.9 = 1.7.90 logic 1.7.10 would be 1.7.1, which would be before 1.7.2. That is of course incorrect, as version numbers do not work that way, and 1.7.1 =/= 1.7.10. The point the OP is trying to make, no matter how ludicrous it is, has nothing to do with the "magnitude" of the update that you claim OP was referring to.

How in the nether did you not know that a thread that had its last post in November of 2012 was dead? That's almost two years ago!

The fence gates and fences were given different wood color variants in 14w32b.

Probably has something to do with the fact that currently the only blocks that are anywhere near confirmed to have new variants in the works, and aren't already in a snapshot, are trapdoors. Why be excited about blocks that we don't know are actually gonna happen? That's just setting ourselves up for disappointment.

Did you even look at the image? The first door is the oak door AKA The original wood door. They didn't remove it, it just happens to be made with a specific kind of wood now.

He is referring to the fact that using a hoe on coarse dirt turns it into normal dirt without actually turning it into farmland. Tilling it a second time will make it farmland.

Oh well, it's not like you don't have that backup you made because snapshots are unstable and you were warned to by every snapshot blog post and before you activated the snapshots on your profile.
