Dec 26, 2014LegoNinja39 posted a message on Pocket Edition Dominates iOS Sales on ChristmasI was surprised when I saw that MCPE was only in the lower of the top 10 grossing apps for 2014 on the App Store. But I guess they need to change that now.Posted in: News

This ishorriblesensational! I applaud you for staying with theseretardedfascinating creatures and risking your sanity. All the times I have tried to stay with this things on my sporadic excursions, they all (except the ones I save) are slaughtered by the local wildlife. I have no idea how any of them survive without outside assistance! You observe what their reactions are to local wildlife (as mine is not documented nor has sufficient data); all in the name of science.
Sincerely,

Yes
Quote from schmid7Guardian Kills squid = squid (potentially) drops ink?
Yes, they do (and the guardian's attack is really weird)
Quote from Styks92Is the new mob Endermite? or am I totally missing out?
Endermites came out a few snapshots ago... -

Yes that's a bug. Many blocks including stairs do not face the correct direction.
ok, that's good to know. -

Jun 6, 2014LegoNinja39 posted a message on Minecraft Server Changes, EULA - A Brief LookWhy has no one mentioned anything about Minecraft Realms?Posted in: News
This idea popped into my head when I was watching the video. Mojang should work on a player API that they have been talking about and make it Realms compatible. Then modders can make there mods for servers instead of having to make modded servers, thus more people would use mods on servers. Server owners can then still have there nice anti-grief/World-Gaurd/chat plug-ins to keep their servers nice and clean. Mojang can then easily keep track of who has servers and could monitor the donations made to servers (to an extent of course). -

The 4th dimension is a spatial dimension. Think of how we have length, width, and height--or in Minecraft, we have the X coordinate, Y coordinate, and Z coordinate. The 4th dimension would be another coordinate we could move through, usually designated as W. That coordinate is NOT time; time is a temporal dimension, separate from the spatial ones. You can have four spatial dimensions as well as a time dimension, for example, so moving through the W coordinate would not affect time in any way. It takes a lot to describe in more depth, and the best way to visualize it is by thinking of the difference between 2D and 3D. This site explains it clearly and thoroughly if anyone is interested: http://hddb.teamikar...ntroduction.htm
As for what they meant when they posted that tidbit in the snapshot page, the wiki says that it has to do with block metadata. Someone with a better understanding of how Minecraft works could probably tell you how that's similar to "removing the 4th dimension", though I'm guessing it's somewhat akin to taking away an unused, aforementioned W coordinate to free up memory.
Metadata is used to store stuff like block rotations and states (For example, wool colours, wood colours and whether or not a redstone torch is on or off). It's being replaced in 1.8 with redstonetorch:on and redstonetorch:off instead of 75:0 and 75:1
Wow I did not know no one really got the "Removed 4th dimension" thing. Reasoning got me to it because it could not be time other wise there could be no minecraft. It could not be the 4th spacial dimension because vanilla minecraft does not have theoretical physics/geometry. Thus it could only mean block data. - To post a comment, please login.

1. I can't further explain it, I just don't think guns should be in vanilla Minecraft. Only reloadable weapon that I think should be in Minecraft is the Atlatl.
2. and 4. Sorry, I feel like an idiot for mis-reading your original post. Now re-reading it, I think it is fine.
3. Again, sorry about mis-reading the post. I thought it said animate not inanimate, so now I think that is fine for vanilla.

1) I don't like the idea of fire arms in Minecraft: Not that it does not fit time period wise, I just don't like it
2) The 'critical hit' thing is way to complex for vanilla Minecraft: Make it so it become more accurate until full draw. No extra hit boxes, no 'critical hit'; its a gun, and a gun is just as powerful if you aim or if you don't aim
3) The headless snow golem: Single Player needs to be as 'child friendly' (though personally, that would be cool) and there is the Amputation mod that can do the same thing
4) Head shots: Yes most of these dislikes involve this, it is realistic/not at all. Like why even have head shots, bows don't and I am pretty sure that if an arrow is shot from a long bow are full draw into a cows head it would die.
So I have no support with this as a vanilla Minecraft feature, but a mods sounds cool.

I would like varying density and have trees at grow to different heights (not just short and tall, but any height in between).

/summon Arrow ~ ~ ~ {pickup:0,life:0,UUIDLeast:X,UUIDMost:X}
Where X is any number, though you have to do this manually for every arrow because there is no a way to make minecraft choose a random number. I would have to know more to see if there is a better way.

If you can't find anything, try re-downloading the .exe (you are on Windows right?) and opening it. If you have any programs that would prevent 'fraudulent' files from being open (some virus barriers may do that) make sure they are off/not going to effect opening a .exe downloaded from the Internet.

There could be a corrupt chunks in your world. Just click the render distance down and then back up. Or walk into the chunks, I have to do that all the time in servers. Your ram is low so I would defiantly make sure you keep your graphics low, my old laptop does have rendering glitches similar to this.
Technically it could be (not likely) your graphics card. So if downgrading to Java 6 does not work, check out the card.

The creepers would not know where the best place to blow a wall open would be. It would be more of where is the place closest to the player.
I like the ideas, but this seems to be better in a mod(s) than a vanilla game mode.

If you are really that stupid, then you should fall and die.

My suggestion is to move to the nearest town to the one you live in or get satellite internet. You also informed me that you could get a ping over 500.
BTW my ping right before post this was 15

I think it would be better if it had tiers, but as how 'sticky' you are. For example, tier I you climb as fast as being on a ladder but it only last for a short amount of time. Tier II you climb slower but it last longer, tier III is slower than II but even longer, etc. You could then use it to give a 'sticky bomb' effect in a map but giving the play blast resistance XX, blowing a ton of TNT up, then some Stickness XX so they hit a wall and get stuck. That also leads to another suggestion, make it so if you stop moving you slide down at the same speed you climb up. This would make it so someone PVPing could not climb up a wall and camp with a bow until it wares out (they could but it would be a pain).
