But can you explain the legal / illegal side again, for those who think that even modifying the base code of minecraft itself ,
which is against the minecraft t&c, legal, and yet putting a freaking mod into a pack is?
As I had a nice trip today to the local police station and walked in. They asked if I needed help and I said yes.
I'm turning myself in, I feel bad for the illegal activity I have been doing. What do you mean? I then explained
that according people on the internet the mod pack I'm using for the game MineCraft is illegal. So I'm turning myself in.
One lady behind the desk said oh my kid plays that. Another person spoke up and said they played it as well.
I waited around for 5 minutes before someone finally came up to the window and said are you serious?

Well after a half hour of chatter between the people, I was sent away with "nothing illegal about that"
tried to do the nice thing and get one more "bad guy" off the street and they just let me back out.

I do like the tekkit MODPACK, not necessarily the people compiling it. I recognize each and every modmaker with respec. Ive poked around the MC code, it cant be easy to make mods of these enormous proportions! The people that make them are truly gifted with the skill of coding. Again, I do not support what Technic is doing, I do like the pack itself, and I want nothing but full credit to go to those that crafted the mods to give me hours of entertainment. Making Minecraft feel like a whole new experience.
Everyone knows that tekkit and technic are the most ILLEGAL mod pack out there, thats why people like the FTB crew are against it. It may be big, because it came out first, but the truth is it is a monstrosity, and every mod maker who has had their work stolen and put up on tekkit knows what im talking about. Eloraam and others have EXPLICITLY said that they didnt want their mod in the pack, yet its still in there.
True, it has been in many version of tekkit and technic, it doesn't make it any more right or less legal for them doing so, actually it is illegal, and i'm pretty sure Eloraam knew about it.
Yeah... it is quite odd... However illegal it is though the mod works exceptionally well with other mods in the pack, It may not be wanted (or legal) But RedPower really fits with the modpack. Im not supporting what the guy's at Technic are doing, I'm just saying that the mod works well with the other mods, and makes it feel like a more complete industrialized experience, building bigger and cooler things using redpower for the redstone wiring. Again I'm not supporting the actions of Technic, I'm just giving my experience,
you know eloraam hasnt given tekkit/technic permission to add redpower right? the only mod pack that has her permission is the ftb modpack. if they put rp in the technic pack it will be without her permission.

I can't wait to see this updated for technic for 1.4.5 (or later) The modpack feels incredibly empty without this mod, It felt like your mod was the glue in the modpack. You have done a truly amazing thing for redstone engineers everywhere.
No it does not. This mod also doesn't add any blocks, only two items. You must've installed some other mod that adds blocks between the last time you played Minecraft and when you got the error. The error should mean exactly what it says: no more block IDs left. Unless you weren't being specific, and it actually said no more item IDs left. Anyway, you'll either have to remove some mod(s), or switch to a Forge version of some mod(s), if it has been released for 1.3.1. This is because the error you're getting isn't really "fixable", it's an engine limitation.
