posted a message on Whats Your Best Diamond Sword Enchant?
I got 4 swords in all my MC worlds so far with Sharpness 4 Looting 3:

    Sharp 4 Loot 3 Fire 2
Sharp 4 Loot 3 (nothing else)
    Sharp 4 Loot 3 Knock 2
    Sharp 4 Loot 3 Fire 2 Knock 2

All pretty good. I just wish they were in my current world! (P.S. I frequently enchant Gold Swords with 30 once I have a pigmen farm going for hopes of Looting, which means better drops from EXP farms)

Sphax PureBDCraft 128bit version, or default. They both look pretty good.

posted a message on Can't Find any Cows...?
    Quote from Kaot1c_X

I think I have the only two living cows in the world :P

Actually, animals have a 1/4 chance of spawning in any non-desert-or-ocean 16x16 chunk, with a 1/4 chance of it being a cow (biome-dependent; chickens have a greater chance of spawning in jungles, sheep in plains, etc.), and they tend to spawn in groups of 4. With a 60,000,000x60,000,000 world, there's an average of 900,000,000,000,000 cows per world, but that's without taking biomes into the mix (biome spawn frequencies, animals can't spawn in desert or ocean-based biomes, etc.). More than enough cows, if you ask me.

    Correct.

Half of what you listed exists in real life...

The Diamond Tools breaking thing's true, but other than that, nothing else is scientifically proven to exist.

Breed them with wheat. Voila, two cows and a baby, which quickly grows into an adult! Here's a few wiki links:

The water comes from underground springs, But where does the underground spring get its water from?

Why are we bringing logic and science into the mix? This is Minecraft, where blocks float, you travel to new dimensions, Obsidian (which is actually very glass-like) is almost unbreakable, and green p-things (if you know what I mean) explode on a regular basis!

posted a message on Tool Repair Changes?
    Quote from zennyrpg

Pretty much my thoughts. Iron is un-renewable without golem farming. And since that kind of farming (mob grinding) is (i believe) discouraged, its weird to assume players would have that much iron laying around on a renewable basis.

I guess it depends on how many uses it gets.

Actually, Iron Ingots are a rare drop from Zombies. Also, they last a long time for their price (unless you use them in cannons), it's the EXP cost that brings the nerfs into play.

Also (not talking to you here, zenny), no one complained about the old 1.9 (well, technically 1.0) repairing method (which is still in, BTW), so why complain about an improved version?

posted a message on Will snow golems die in the jungle if there is snow all around them
    Quote from Boundegar

Oh they'll die in water too. They only survive in taiga and tundra. Enjoy Frosty while you have him... wait... where the hell did you get snow blocks in a jungle?

Lol, I meant to type "burn," not "die." I know they die in water. :P I'll fix it!

Also, they actually survive in most biomes, like plains, forests, etc. (though they may not leave a snow trail). And snow blocks can be placed anywhere.

Although, this raises an interesting question: will a splash Fire Resist pot save them from hot enviroments? I wonder...

You can configure the desert with lakes, or without. But a superflat desert would be suicide either way - no wood!

Desert Village Blacksmiths may have saplings in their chests (not to mention lava and furnaces), and farms have dirt (and water, for a cobble gen, plus food). Besides, there is trading!

Nether Brick, lava, Obsidian and Soul Sand have an eerie feel to them. Use Redstone torches for light if you can. But if it's a contest based on creativity, come up with the idea on your own! Let your creative side come out! EDIT: Oh, and having lava above a 1-thick ceiling makes the lava drip through (just a particle effect), making it look like there is blood dripping from the ceiling.
