If you are still having trouble getting mods caught up, grim3212, you can still run Modloader MP and Forge together allowing mods that use them to still work. You just use the original load orders for the APIs, Modloader first, Modloader MP second, and Forge third, and mods that use one or more of these dependencies will work. I have mods that use the latest version of Forge working along side mods that use Modloader MP with out any issues between them when the load orders are set up right.
To get my copy to work all I did was unzip the downloaded files into their own folder the run.sh, run.bat, and GunCreator.jar are in the same folder, I also put the resources folder from the Gun Resources. zip in there. I basically made a folder to edit guns with and have all necessary files in an easy to find location. Just leave everything inside the GunCreator.jar and just open it with Java, and put any files you are working on in the same folder as everything else so they are easy to find.
I found an old mod that hasn't been updated in a while Controllable Pig Mounts, another modder updated it to Minecraft 1.1 and then he decided to take a break from modding, and since the 1.2.x line this mod might have been forgotten, the original thread for it is here http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/174915-173-controllable-pig-mounts-extras-v5/ and it's last version is here http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/658494-181100110coupons-mod-updates/, this is both a funny and useful mod (the pig stacking and being able to get the When Pigs Fly achievement). Its nice that some modders attempt to resurrect older mods and hopefully you can get the last part for the TTM Ultra Pack at some point since I'm looking for a good vehicle mod that actually works.
On Windows, just right click the Guncreator.jar and hit Open with... then select Java and it should work, it works for me when doing that. As for Mac, I have no clue since I run a Windows based system.
I may not have this mod yet, but it looks very useful to eventually get. As for the maps on walls, you could make them multiple sizes depending on the wall and have a selector GUI for that.
Craft an armory box and have certain items in your inventory to pull the weapons and ammo out, the UI on the box tells what items are needed and how many for each thing.
Logistics Pipes have an in-game setting to leave the first stack in the container, I used that setting on all provider pipes attached to my energy condensers so they don't glitch out or try to grab the target item.
I use the RM furnaces and MK3 Energy Collectors in my auto crafting rooms, insanely fast and reduces strain on my power grids. One collector has two furnaces attached to it and it sits under the same glowstone blocks used to light up the room so it can run non-stop as long as I keep sending materials through.
