That's a nice fighter you have there, be a SsSsSshame if sSsSsomething happened to it.

It has obsidian on the inside for precisely that reason.

So I got my 3x3 grid of hibachis wired up and working. I have my cauldron one above the hibachis. hibachi->fire->cauldron. I have my bellows set up, receiving power from a gearbox that is on a turntable, and I've turned it all on and it appears to be working.

The problem is I cannot keep the fire two blocks high so can't render something like a saddle. I've messed around with the timing on the turntable and discovered a delay of .3 seems to keep the flames highest the longest, but they do regularly go back to single height.

I'm sure I'm missing something simple or misunderstanding how it is supposed to work, but any light that could be shed would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think the flames need to be two blocks high. If the stewing pot is exactly one block above the hibachi, so there is only one block of fire, and the bellows are working, the stewing pot should be stoked. However, I don't think the gearbox itself is supposed to be on the turntable. That may break the whole setup.

soul urns should be able to hold your exp, but great mod :biggrin.gif:

If they did, your XP would become corrupted because of the effects of the souls used in the urn's construction. (cue music from Alien)

Is this truly incompatible with everything?

When he says 'incompatible with everything', what he means is that he makes no effort to make it compatible with anything else (except Buildcraft). It modifies enough base classes that it does conflict with most other mods. It works with Too Many Items, Single Player Commands, and a few other noninvasive mods.

I suspect something is either wonky with your install or with the particular world you generated. Nobody else out of the thousands that have downloaded this new version has reported similar problems, so it wouldn't make sense for me to consider this to be a problem with the mod.

Again, if I don't change code that is related to a particular problem, it is exceedingly unlikely that the mod is responsible.

I am having a similar problem. The lag is not bad enough that I can't really play, but it is annoying. It probably doesn't have anything to do with BTW, but I don't have any other mods in.

Yes that's what I mean. When I click the switch on the gearbox which connects to the pulley and cuts its power, it doesn't descend. i forgot to mention I had too many items.

All power needs to be cut, including redstone. Redstone to the pulley makes it hold position. If the pulley has no power of any sort running to it, and is supplied with ropes, it will descend. If you don't have any more ropes it the pulley, that could be the problem, too.

Think I've found a bug. Wolves don't burst into flames when sat in front of a lense :/

The horror! It must be fixed at once.

The elevators aren't quite working for me. When i activate it, it doesn't descend. I triple checked that my gearoxes and my power supply (Water wheel) is working and it was. Maybe its the mods I have installed?

Her are the mods I'm using:
    SDK's mods (all)
    Single player commands
    Mo' Creatures
    Modloader and modloadermp
    GUIApi
    Audiomod
    Creature spawner
    And this mod

    Please help.

When activated, elevators ascend. You need to cut the power to make it go down.

I have created a fighter. It is exactly 5 long, 3 wide, and 2 tall. I have no idea how Steve is supposed to fit in the cockpit.

EDIT: The @#$% picture isn't working. Just use the link, and you'll see it. There are three pictures there.

Unless their version of g-force is way less than ours, those numbers sound pretty unrealistic. For reference, humans die at 50 g.

In Star Wars, the smaller ships like fighters use inertial compensators to keep that from happening. On larger ships, the artificial gravity generators are good enough to deal with it. I believe G-force is measured in Coruscant standard gravity, which (by amazing coincidence) is the same as Earth gravity.

Solar sails have such weak propulsion that it is supposed to take years to get up to full speed. I don't think it would be a viable form of travel for this mod if you intend to do it by the book.

This is an issue. Count Dooku's sloop (a modified Punworcca 116-class interstellar sloop) could accelerate up to 1000 G's using the sail, but main propulsion was from a Class 1.5 hyperdrive. By contrast, a Y-wing, which is really quite slow, can accelerate up to 2700 G's, and a fast A-wing can accelerate at 5100 G's.

I don't have a problem with the Forge man, and still believe in what it represents. I've explained at length why I left, and still remain on very good terms with SpaceToad who founded and created it, as is clearly indicated by the existence of Better Then BuildCraft.

Hmm... I may have misunderstood. I admit that I have not watched the entire interview in the OP (it was really long). I should probably do that sometime. Sorry.

I agree, I like using the forge, and this would go great with buildcraft(Yeah, yeah) Industrialcraft and redpower, and many of other mods. Mods good, makers not. Why is it you torture us like this? l might make a compatibility patch (If l knew how :sad.gif: ) And wouldn't care about anything you'd say. l want THE FORGE!

Feature request for Apple: My computer needs to have a button that says 'punish'. When I push this button, it will send a mild* electric shock through the punishee's keyboard.
*'Mild' in this case meaning 'probably not fatal'.

Feature request for FlowerChild: A 40 page angry rant about how terrible Forge is and why you hate it. Anyone who wishes to comment about Forge must download it, read it, and include in their post the several codes that are hidden throughout the document. This ensures that they actually read it. Failure to do will result in use of the punish button.

The light from a star could not push your ship, but "Solar wind" pulled ships have been a theorized alternative to nuclear bomb powered ships for getting between two planets. It would technically require you to stay near a star constantly if you want to have the fastest trip to your goal. It would be an interesting method of travel since the shortest path wouldn't be the fastest, but the trip that takes you through the most densely populated areas of space to get your goal.

Solar sails are canon in the Star Wars universe, although ships like that are rare. One notable example is Count Dooku's sloop, seen in Episode II: Attack of the Clones.
