As far as I can tell, they should both work fine together (just disable the armor HUD in Rustic's config file). Both mods use and cancel the same event, which should mean whichever one gets there first (and is enabled) should render their bar. This mod should have no effect on Rustic's armor toughness bar. I'll try to remember to test this later.
yeah, that is fair. Given that I don't exactly have many mods that aren't balanced around vanilla, I'd rather have your render.
Last time I checked they didn't work together. I realize this is probably because they modify the same thing and are inherently incompatible, but both are quite nice. It's okay if you don't want to/aren't able to make them compatible.
It's still mostly on hold. With 1.12 in beta I'm doing a bunch of structural work to StorageDrawers before my API is locked in again. After that, I can revisit where I'm at with this mod.
Good to hear, this was always one of my favorite mods :>
What purpose would they serve? I'm pretty sure crafting tables just draw from the local aura normally now, and foci replace the specialized wands in TC3 and below.
Sweet! Just noticed that an alpha was released. Awesome.
This mod doesn't add any new ores or anything like that to the game, right? So once it's stable I can add it to my server and client and start to use it no problem?
How difficult would it be to change how they spawn or give a config option for spawn rules where spawning only happens with a specific light level. Currently it makes setting up a town pretty difficult as NPCs get wiped out.
Theres a arachno-looking thing in background in second screen.. At first glance it looks like wand recharge thingy which you put on arcane crafting table. As it no longer requires vis from wand, the model might have been repurposed to maybe vis spider?
It could still be required as an increase to the amount of vis the arcane crafting table can use for a single craft...
If/when TC 6 comes out and you decide to dive back into this, would the goal to be to try and port everything over eventually or do you think some of the content might not make the transition? Or will you have no idea until TC 6 releases? Also, got any ideas for anything new you might want to add?
I'm not Tuhljin but it makes sense to wait and see what has changed in TC6 mechanic-wise before committing to updating any particular feature that might be reliant on old mechanics.
Hey I have a problem and I think it might have thaumcraft to blame but whenever thaumcraft and baubles are installed and I run minecraft baubles suddenly disappears, causing minecraft to crash before even loading. after some investigation I discovered that it had transferred to the 1.7.10 folder (which is the version I'm running). I don't know why this is happening and I don't know how to fix it. please help.
It's supposed to be moved to the 1.7.10 folder within your mods folder. I'm not sure why it's crashing, though.
Would be pretty cool if we could use the chisel to add lettering to blocks. Maybe uppercase, lowercase, and a few symbols? If you wanted to get fancy, you could even add multiple fonts. Anyway, text with one letter per block would be the perfect size for readability, and would look much more stylish than plastering the walls with vanilla signs.
I originally made this feature suggestion to the Chisel mod, but it is probably better suited here, as the carpenter's chisel already adds textures as overlays, and so wouldn't require hundreds of new textures. There may be a few kinks, like how to quickly cycle through letters/cases/fonts, but that could probably be handled with a new mode or by clicking the top vs the bottom of a block, etc.
If you are thinking of implementing this, but creating the textures is a hassle, just let me know. I would be happy to do it and can provide a couple of samples.
You could always do this with Chisels and Bits. You'd have to make the templates yourself but you could copy and paste them once you've got them... Of course you'd need to be on higher than 1.7.10.
WTH do you mean with cheater, in SMP the only thing it does is provide a minimap and waypont, no mob detection or anything, so how is that considered cheating?
Because it defeats the purpose of the regular (item) map.
Iunno.
Only thing I'm feared about is the fact that they are simplifying the game engine. When the did that to the terrain generation, bad things happened.
Simplifying the game engine is kind of a good thing, though. It will allow it to become more efficient. (which they explained directly.)
You probably won't even notice it (besides for better performance) when it happens, is the thing.

I actually didn't see that until right after I posted that, hah

Hi, would it be possible to make this mod compatible with https://github.com/the-realest-stu/Rustic/wiki/Armor-HUD this feature of Rustic?

Baubles did add 4 more slots, so there's that. The cosmetic/vanity items might fit better in those slots, depending on what you had in mind.

Yep.

I hope you're feeling better, sinus infections are never fun.

No, Windows 10 Edition is essentially Pocket Edition ported to desktop.
