Losing nodes, while sad, would not be all that bad. The Aura system in thaumcraft 2 was still fun and I could set it being even more interesting with the 6 primals and Biomes effecting the regeneration in general (Deserts high in Ignis, Oceans in Aqua, Forests in Terra, Ect.) If you have a huge project that requires specific Vis types, it would still require one to explore, but it becomes finding one of a set of biomes.
i am also senidn this to the battle gear mod creator.
Put your spoiler here.

AH!, Exactly what I've been needing. I keep my Thauminomicon with me at all times, yet when swapping between crafting various mod's items it gets annoying having to quickly drop NEI to search for a Thaumcraft item.
I am having the most horrid time trying to finish the Enchanted Fabric research but I cannot find that one aspect I am missing. So far, I have tried everything I have found so far. Any Suggestions?
Yay to the potential of Hardcore food, I had been wanting a mod that actually did that for a while
Also, Does anyone know a good spot to find automation parts. Specifically like a gallery of Mob trap grinders, just grinding mechanisms only. I like to build my own design but I love looking at what other people have built to get an idea on how to tackle a problem at a new direction.
The main issue I'm running into now is splitting up spiders and everything else in the grinding part so I can use the high kill rate of the chopping block.
Actually come to think of it, a hardcore food addition would be kinda neat, most likely not worth the effort though. I do love the idea of having basic foods be quite useless until you mix up some recipes for food to get a more filling and satisfying meal. Would make starting off a bit more difficult and make it so the game isn't carrots = win as well as offering an incentive to getting a variety of foods sources available.
Though the chances of this going anywhere is slim to none, no other mod seems to really want to make such wonderful changes to vanilla. Also too, why isn't beef stew in vanilla yet?
Also too wanted to add that hardcore movement is awesome, My friends on my server thought I was nuts for building detailed roads through our desert/snow biome town. I got a good laugh from knowing that the roads quickly became valuable.
Ah thanks. I'm using a modified FTB and Figured Id make a grinder for quick enchanting using soulshards. It did work until I updated soulshards so the update must have broke something.
I've always seen MFR around and never bothered to try it. Now after having tried it, I don't know how I could live without it. Same with NetherOres. I do have one problem though, It seems the grinder does not like monsters spawned from soul cages in the Soul Shards mod. Using an egg or standard spawners they work fine.
Here's What I mean:
They Just like to cluster near the grinder and sit there.
Obvious response being obvious, looks like a GUI issue or NEI not playing nicely with Thaum; my only recommendation would be to reinstall ThaumCraft and see if that does anything. Sorry for not being of much help, but thought I'd offer whatever wisdom I may possess!
Yeah, I thought it had something to do with NEI, but someone on the last page had a similar issue caused by the same thing. Im updating NEI just as a precaution though.
Yeah, the NEI update just removed the NEI error from the log, but its still an instant crash.
The Charm glitch must be Thaumcraft trying to interact with another mod then, Cause I'm getting it too. (Thankfully on a test world). Lately I've noticed Enchantments being somewhat buggy from thaumcraft. I didn't think you were supposed to get them from a vanilla table without any research done at all. I'll Post an error log below so we might be able to narrow it down to what is conflicting.

Did some Huge server Maintenance recently. Also, Contrary to what the post says, We do Allow ban appeals if you do get banned. I need to Yell at ward to update this post so it is more current.
Okay, I assigned the conflicting ThaumCraft blocks to IDs 300-309, and it still crashes. I looked at modloader.txt and it showed that there's an error with mod_Thaumcraft.class. Wtf?
Oh and this error also shows up when I edit Tropicraft's config instead :/
If you dont have the 4096 Block ID fix, Dont assign over 255 for block id's. If you do have it, the 300 to about 400 range is off limits due to vanilla minecraft item ID's
Edit: IF you use NEI, you can have it print off a list of unused block Id's for you to use.
