Dec 24, 2012I have a standard minecraft server (Online Mode: False) and I have written a book with Book and Quill and Signed it. At firs it would keep reverting back to Book and Quill and erasing the last 2 pages. I modded the book with INV Edit and it finally stopped reverting it, so I Signed it In-Game. Now I am trying to put it in a chest and it reverts to its editable form. Does anyone have any solutions?Posted in: Server Support and Administration

Its similar with 7-zip (I've 9.22 Beta).
1. Find ~.minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar, - right click, select 7-zip/Open archive - delete META-INF.
2. Find ModLoader.zip - right click - select 7-zip/extract here.
3. Drag EVERYTHING to the minecraft.jar open archive (Caution - don't drag the unzipped files into a sub folder within the MC.jar) Not every Mod wants all contents put in the MC.jar. READ the installation for EACH Mod you install.
4. Test your installation (does MC open). If everything works make a copy of your current MC.jar (if the next Mod causes a crash install the copy you just made and you've lost nothing)
5. Go to the forum of the Mod that caused the crash and ASK for help. A crash log is beneficial for everyone.
Try a Google search for "Crash report".

Go to the top of this page, in the upper right corner you'll find your avatar. Below that and slightly to the left is a search function that's preset to search this topic (this forum - it's true for every forum you visit).

i had thought of that as well, and i found a solution. instead of having multiple new button types in minecraft, each attack would be bound to its own item. when you right click with said item the effect is activated so long as you have all the requirements met. such as for flame alchemy, you could right click if you have a flint and steel i suppose, the attack would them commence. now for alchemy such as al and ed's: we all know about cuboid/worldedit right? all that would happen is you right click with the appropriate item to make a preset wall/shape so long as you have the materials to make it. this is where tiers come in, a lv 1 wall technique would not be that large, but as you progress you can do more and more damage/building
mainly it'd be a grand multiplayer battle mod :/ not really for single player. and until a coder can help it'll be just an idea

Jul 23, 2012Is there any program(s) that allows you to add new mobs and/or items and set their properties (weapon/tile/food/crafting, death:fall/death:explode, attack value, death drop, etc) and crafting recipies without coding or removing existing Items/Mobs? It doesn't need to be one program, it can be one that adds mobs and another that adds items. any help AT ALL is greatly appreciated. if it/they require minor coding, I have decent experience in that field.
