I get similar errors, it seems to be hit and miss if a modpack will install, I have tried five different modpacks at throughout the day and none of them work. I have been having this problem every since they changed from the Curse launcher to this twitch crap, and its just getting worse over time, I have tried uninstalled the launcher and reinstalling it and have even deleted all the related files and its STILL a problem. Sent a bug report two weeks ago and NO response. I think its time Curse dropped Twitch and went back to the old launcher.
The problem with "already established in game" is that by then I won't need miners, which is the only reason I use this mod. This is the tool I use to get gold, diamonds and redstone to make other more advanced tools in other mods.
By the time mid game comes around, there are many other mod devices and equipment available for mass mining of materials.
I agree, this mod helps make the beginning of the game not so tedious, I too have other mods that this mod helps to prepare for, its a life saver when it comes to mining the things I need to make portals for other realms.
Do not ask, demand or pressure creators to update content, this includes asking if/when there will be an update, and applies well for downgrades
I can say I do read rules when I sign up on a forum and I can't say I remember this rule, but I will also be the first to admit that I might have simply missed the thread, but being that I see a lot of people do exactly what this rule says not to do and more than once in just one mod forum and have never, outside of now, see a forum mod point them to this rule I have to wonder how long it has been a rule. I also have to wonder if this is indeed a newer rule if it was put in-place due to the demands and pressure more than those that ask politely if the modder is going to be updating be it content or for a different Minecraft version, but this is just an idea. It would be interesting if one of the site mods made a poll just for those that made the mods asking how they feel on the issue. I for one would not be surprised if more than a few of them are fine with the polite questions of if an update is in the works or planned, but would like the demands and pressure and comments like those to stop.
I am sure that some people don't realize that how they word their wishes for an update comes off, and a part of those also might be kids, but its never too late to learn a lesson. I am know that it can be frustrating when you find a mod and then realize that you play on say version 1.8 and said mod is for 1.7.10 I did that just yesterday, and I see no problem asking if it is to be updated at some point, but that is not what I see some of these users doing. It seemed too me that maybe these things needed to be said, and as I said you are never to young or even too old you learn a lesson.
Ok so what I am going to post here is something that was part of a post I just made in one of the forms for a mod I am keeping my eye on with extra added on. But first I want to give a big THANK YOU to those of you who take the time in your life's to give us these mods, Maps (also known as custom worlds), Bukkit Plugins, Texture packs, and Modpacks, I for one have seen how much time and work a person or people put into making something new for a game that already exists and not made by them, and all this in your spear time, so again THANK YOU!!
I see quite often see numerous people post to a form demanding, begging for or whining about updates, now I see no problem asking if an update for a Minecraft version is in the works or planned, or even updates for a possible ETA from time to time, keeping in mind that it would be a POSSIBLE ETA because an exact ETA would be difficult, however that is not what some of these people do as I said above this is what I have to say to those that demand, beg, or whine about updates:
I think you need to try to understand just how much time writing a program from scratch takes, and when you add to that if the program that is being made has to work within another program that they are not involved in making (like Minecraft) it adds more work and time, on top of that these people that provide us with mods are doing so IN THEIR FREE TIME, and not being paid, most of them probably have jobs, or even school on top of family's, give them a break for crying out loud, instead of begging for them to update or even demanding as a lot of you are doing, how about asking polite questions like I stated above, how about showing some apprehension for how much work and time these people put into making these things, not to forget respect.
End of rant, I hope it gets through to some people.
Curious. You have my update manager, and an outdated version of minions 1.9.6 as opposed to the current one 1.9.7. Did it not inform you of a newer version? It has a supposed fix for the exact issue you report.
Thanks, normally checking to see if my files are up to date is one of the first things I do, in this case I thought that since I got no notice that there was a new update I did not think about it, from now on I will check regardless before I post. Updated my files and logged on and had them mine a few different trees and no crash so I am happy.
Ok, so been using this mod for a while and I really like it, but it is very mob heavy, even on easy, and they are everywhere, my son was very upset the other day because one of the TNT mods blew up most of his house in the middle of the day while he was in it. Is there a way to lower the mob spawn rate?

Has a fix been found to the unseen minions yet? They are there but still can't be seen.
