Ok, just to be clear, because I am on Linux and there for can't use the curse launcher so I use MultiMC for Minecraft modpacks. before I just downloaded and added this https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/daruma-open-world-rpg-adventure to my MultiMC because it had the whole modpack, but its not been updated with the fix, so do I need to download that and then this https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/worlds/daruma-an-open-world-rpg-adventure/files and add it somewhere in the instance folder?

I really wish I could fix it.

I haven't stopped trying, but it's really demotivating when I can't even recreate it. I have no leads other than maybe scripting is causing it.

And it's also really hard to playtest because I've done it so much before that I get so bored of it. I just want the frickin' bug to show up. It's shown up once before I released Update Aphelion, and I don't know how I fixed it.

I'll have to borrow someone elses computer maybe and play it there.

    Really sorry...

Maybe as the mod creators of Custom NPC mod seeing as the bug sees to me with that mod, maybe they might be able to help.

So I tried both things and neither worked.

I'm wondering now if it might be a cpu problem rather than a bug, I don't know what kind of computer LadyGrelka uses but I'm using an old laptop meant more for office work than gaming. (I can post specs if that helps)

I just assumed it was a bug because it doesn't make sense to me that the game would become more cpu intensive as I progressed, but it may be possible that it does.

I built my desktop specifically to be able to handle hardware intense games, even on lower vid settings. My possessor, RAM and video card are more then enough to run game like ARK and 7 Days to Die with the graphics turned up to between high and medium, I can even run the heavy more PC intense Minecraft modpacks so I really can't see the problem being any of my hardware.

    Intel Pentium CPU G4500 3.50GHz

    16gigs of RAM

    GeForce GTX 1050 Ti

and I am running Linux POP OS. I will say that I am surprised that Daruma uses about 88% of my CPU, but that should not cause a problem.

No...it's stumping me. I've playtested them and I've gone beyond where you both say the problem arises. I did every quest in East Daruma. Even when I loaded your save, I didn't have the issue.

    My only thought is...java versions?

One last experiment though, try taking out nashorn.jar from the mods folder. That will cause the scripts to stop running. Maybe my beginner scripting is causing a performance issue or something.

Not sure why Java would be the problem, I am using Java 8, nothing newer is compatible with Minecraft. did you just use my save with your install or did you run my save with my install? I linked you to my whole Daruma install not just the save, I was thinking that it might be a problem with the whole install and not just the save, all though come to think about it I am not sure that is the problem either because Fang tried from a whole new install and still had the problem, but maybe its something that went wrong with our installs. I will try removing nashorn.jar and running the game and see what happens.

Well Media Fire was a bust, it started but then just froze and did nothing, four different times, so I am now uploading it to google drive and hoping that will work for you, however due to how slow its going it will probably not be done till morning, so I will put it here when its done.

Ok, I got a media fire account and as of right now its uploading my Daruma folder, but it looks like its going to take a while so when its done I will edit this post to add the folder. Right now my character is in the starter town by the bank, I have waypoints for the places I have been, well some of them, in journey maps.

Mine started when I got to the sky town to find someone to translate the book, I have done a fair number of quests in the starter town but without being able to see a list of completed quests I can't give you a list.

I have not seen anyone else on here that has had this problem, so it makes me think that its random, and we are two of the unlucky ones lol. Question, when you restarted did you delete the pack and all its files and then reinstall, or did you just delete your save and start a new save? There might be a slim chance that some file got corrupted when it was downloaded and that a completely new download/install of the game might fix the problem (that is unless you already did this, then I have no idea). I was also thinking that it might not be a problem with the modpack but the Custom NPC mod itself, maybe a conflict of some kind, I now from the description of the pack that Yellow is using a snapshot of the Custom NPC mod, and snapshots are not always stable.

Been a few days since I was able to play but I made a copy of my world and played that but it did not fix the problem. I wonder if anyone else has had this problem and if so how they fixed it, if they did, and also if its a problem with the Custom NPC mod itself. Looks like I will have to delete the whole pack and reinstall and start over, and hope I don't run into the same problem.

Not sure why, but all of a sudden I am getting really bad dialog and NPC interaction lag, what I mean is when I click an NPC nothing happens, no dialog or opening of their shop/bank, then all of a sudden a min or so later it pops up (sometimes), ever thing else seems to be working fine. This is the second day I have played this and this just started, not sure if it has something to do with getting to the sky town or not. I have turned down my in game graphic settings, changed render to 9 instead of my normal 16, changed graphics to fast from my normal fancy, turned off smooth lighting, turned particles to lowest setting, clouds, bobbing and shadows are turned off like I normally do, so not sure what else I can do, I know I can try optifine but for some reason I can't get it to work with MultiMC, I can't use twitch launcher because I am on Linux.

*Edit* Ok, so I got Optifine to work and got all the settings done, too many to post here, but its still having problems (not really surprised there because its not a graphics problem but I wanted to cover all my bases). I was using UBR Resource Pack but I started using that less then an hour after asking you for texture pack suggestions (so around 8 hours ago) with no problems at all, but in order to be sure I removed it, closed the game and restarted and the problem is still there. So I though it was a problem with the NPC's in the sky town, because it did not start until I got there, so, I left the sky town and went back to the first town and tried the bank, ranged weapons seller and talking to a few NPCs that I had talked to before and had the same problem. I have closed the game turned off my PC, but problem is still there. As I said its not normal lag, no lag when I walk or do anything BUT try to talk/interact with NPCs, and I can still walk around, use my inventory and fight, if I am not mistaken all the problems are with the the CustomNPCs mod because I think the quest tab and faction tab are part of that mod as well as the NPCs. So not sure what is going on, if I did something that I am not aware of that broke it or if its just a bug of some kind.
