    Don't feel bad man you're doing a good thing. I would donate myself but I need to also believe that the creator is interested in this mod so he needs to at least pop in and say hi now and then. Lots of mods have died in Minecraft since I started. My favorite mod from alpha was BiomeTerrain by bucyruss he was a total boss but even that mod died eventually. I'd hate to see this die but until the creator touches base with us I won't donate. But I am very willing to do so


    He's not 100% inactive.... he was active on the forums 11 hours ago.


    I have no idea what that entails, other than he's around...


    Hopefully he will give us some insight soon.

    posted a message on Realistic Fluids Overhaul - Finite Water and Stuff [WIP]

    I am soooo thoroughly EXCITED about this mod. Group of friends and I are DEFINITELY working it into our current modpack.


    There was one OLD feature of finite water that we are desperate to see, the rain generating minor "puddles" that FLOW across the hills into the valleys etc.


    This will help to fill various things like reservoirs, lakes, beaches that get "pumped" and used...


    As a "safety" if the fluids hit an OCEAN biome, they will not fill above the vanilla water line I.E. not "flood the world" and in lieu of getting blocked, they could be deleted.


    Thoughts?

    Is there hope of showing some love towards the streams mod's blocks? They kinda instant fall/merge with the water under them, and instantly drop/flow into the lower areas... I feel the environment (rain) will help this dramatically and help balance it better for the most part.

    Ted80, your mod doesn't play nice with Joshie's Mariculture mod. It derps up all the hardened clay worldgen stuff on the landscape. Maybe you guys can work something out to get them to play nice together? Nevermind the fact that your gen blocks oceans entirely currently...

    Editing the worldgen config for MARICULTURE on the line :


    # Disabling this will stop the generation of limestone, rutile and sand on ocean floors
    B:"Biome Top Block Replacements > Enable"=true


    and setting it to false fixes The over world generation, but (will block) his changes to the ocean floor.


    I'm at a loss how to get them BOTH to cooperate. Maybe something simple can be done, maybe not.. *shrug*

    Ted, would you be willing to upload this mod onto Curse? Between a group of friends and myself... we can set e-mail alerts for the upcoming release when you post it and it will help us from twitching in our seats to have the world generated.



    We are awaiting the beaches/oceans anxiously to launch our server. ;)



    Whats the ETA? if you can guess one? The updates on Twitter on beautiful and we are all REALLY excited about it. ^_^ We've been anticipating it for about a month now...



    Thanks for the professional quality world generator that is available currently, we really like it alot.

    I'm having a crash with the Streams mod and the DEEP DARK added by extra utilities. It crashes during the world generation. It is reproducible with only those two mods running. Any suggestions besides blocking the deep dark?

    OK, we have used this modpack within our pack, we're received a lot of mixed reviews about the mod.

    a lot of players seem to find it:

    1- difficult.
    2- "weird" for uses with flowers/leaves (though we can customize this)
    3- very nice and fun
    4- other opinions...

    ultimately... what I believe this mod needs is kind of a "difficulty" slider, or a setting within the config.

    For example, when you get "cold" you go from cold to dead in about ~30 seconds, regardless of if you are standing over a fire, or near lava. Once you hit the damage point, you are screwed. Heat is more forgiving as "cold" water has an immediate affect on your temperature.

    Thirst, as with temperature, is 100% passive no effects until it starts to deal damage, then, again it is 30 seconds and dead. There REALLY needs to be a more "gradual advancement" into the depth of damage a player receives from the extremes of environments.

    I would also like to see something were we can adjust how "fast" you run out of air/water/temp/sanity on a 1 - 10 scale or something, with 1 being about a 12 hour period before you suffocate or overheat, or die of thirst... with 10 being as it is now... full difficulty.

    Its really hard to go afk for ~5 min to go poop go poop... When your character is inside locked doors of your own house, safe from the world, and when you return from the bathroom you find that your character ran out of water, and died.

    What are your thoughts?

    My opinion, as a Single player, pause-able RPG game setup, its great, with a multiplayer casual gaming environment, it's a bit ... over the top.
