Overview:
The Thirst Mod aims to increase the difficulty of Minecraft by adding a Thirst Bar along with other goodies. Once installed, a bar similar to the Food Meter will appear in the HUD. The bar will begin to deplete during physical activity which is based upon a multitude of factors including movement speed, jumping, breaking blocks or not, attacking, losing health and even proximity to specific blocks. Once the bar begins to drop you can replenish the bar by consuming drinks to rehydrate yourself. With low hydration, several problems will arise beginning with the disablement of sprinting, and then slow health loss coupled with nausea effects.
Features:
This mod adds many features, all which are created to help you in your journey in minecraft:
Rain Collector:
This blocks enables you to collect rain water. It functions with many different containers available in the game such as Bottles, Buckets and Cups. The water received from this block is clean and thus can be drunk without any chance of poisoning and can also be stored for later use when it is not raining. To use it, simply place a container(mentioned above) in the bottom slot and watch the water slowing enter the container. Make sure the block is placed within a clear view of the sky or the internal bucket will not fill. Canteens can also be refilled with this method.
Drinks Brewer:
The Drinks Store is the core for all of your drinks. It allows you to create consumables which you can drink by placing a glass bottle, an item to 'brew' and any fuel source in the game (even mods) in their appropriate slots as indicated. To use this block, you must first install content packs and if the game detects no packs, this block will be useless. The brewing item can be anything and is usually indicated the drink you are trying to create. For eg: Apple Juice will definitely be made using Apples.

Drinks Store:
The Drinks Store allows you to purchase drinks that would be otherwise be difficult to obtain. To use place in some coins, select your drink, select the amount and click buy. The coins will be taken from you and used in an alternate dimension (doesn't exist).
Drinks:
Without these you’d be dehydrating every second and dying. These drinks can be drunk when held and holding right click. The drinks replenish your bar differently in the level and saturation. More drinks can be created through the use of “txt” files and placing them in “/ThirstMod/Content Packs/.” Drinks contained in the core version include: Milk, Chocolate Milk, Fresh Water and also Boiled Water. Even though the mod edits no base classes, drinking from Soup, Potions, Water Bottles(poisonous) and Milk Buckets will also replenish your thirst.
Expansion Packs:
Drinks can be created in the Drinks Brewer from other mods by simply creating “txt” files and placing them in “/mods/ThirstMod/Content/.” Have a look at the Drinks Creating Tutorial later on to find out more! You can also add drinks from other mods in a similar fashion. A system is also available to enable drinks from other mods to heal the bar. Check out 'usage.info' in the Thirst Mod folder.

INFORMATION:
This mod adds traps for hunting into the game that can be used to capture any mob! To set most of the traps a pressure plate must be lain on top of it, watch my video review for more info.
1) The "Cage Hunting Trap" will spawn a cage around any mob that DARE walk over the pressure pad!
2) The "Fire Hunting Trap" will spark, and set any mob nearby on fire!
3) The "Pit Fall Trap" will make the ground below disappear, and send any mob in a 2x2 radius falling!
4) The "Igniting Fire Trap" will disintegrate any block that is placed on it, and can only be turned on and off by a distance.
5) "Spikes" are deadly little things that capture the mob, and slowly kill them, watch out.
6) "Grass & Sand Coverings" are based off an older mod, these are thin grass blocks that you can fall through, and here is the cool thing, it incorporates a self built engine that makes the blocks, match your biome grass color and the texture of any users texture pack.
7) "Invisible Pressure Plates" are 99.9% invisible pressure plates that act like normal pressure plates but are totally invisible, have no visible hit box, and make no noise.
8) "Grass Pressure Plates" are like the Invisible ones but look like your texture pack/biome.

I know there are already a couple of gun mods, but bear with me. Besides, an existing gun mod could include this in their mod anyway.
The idea comes from the game Receiver, which is a very simple (yet complicated) shooter in which you manage every minute detail of your gun. When you reload in Receiver, you have to manually open up your gun, and move every single bullet into place, remove the safety, get it ready to fire, ect.
How would this fit into Minecraft you ask? My idea is that each gun would have its own GUI. Each attachment and bullet would have its own slot in which it must be placed. The GUI could be bound to a key (R would make the most sense) and you would have to press a series of buttons also in the GUI for actions such as removing the safety or cocking a shotgun, ect. Therefore, you would manage every minute detail of the gun just like Receiver. Since Minecraft is about realistically managing your inventory/resources, this mechanic would fit right into the game nicely. Each bullet would have its own slot, each mag would have its own slot which would open up slots for bullets to be loaded, each action would have a button to go along with it, and you would be able to micromanage everything.
You might say "This seems like a nuisance! Why would anybody want to have to struggle with this?" Well, I have an answer. Just like in Receiver, you would gain the benefits of managing every detail of the gun. For example, you could fill only certain slots of a revolver with bullets, and play Russian Roulette by pressing a button that would rotate the chamber randomly. You could give somebody a gun with no bullets to fool them. Reloading would become a game of skill, and you could accidentally lose bullets on the ground and have to pause the process.
The best part is that it's actually possible, and that a modder with only a good amount of experience could do it. I have no modding experience at all, but the whole mod itself would just be GUI work and of course putting the guns into the game as items along with all the gun materials (such as bullets or attachments) with other (more advanced) things down the road. The mod would be fun in many ways, especially if there was multiplayer support. Imagine playing Russian Roulette with friends, or having a realistic firefight utilizing the obvious destructive environments of Minecraft!
Features wishlist:
-Guns that each have their own unique GUI, ammo type, attachments and values (such as damage or block breaking power).
-Bullets can destroy blocks and are actual entities fired from the muzzle.
-3D models and custom animations (I doubt it).
-Realistic knockback and recoil effects.
-Realistic particle effects.
-Bigger guns may slow you down.
-MULTIPLAYER!

I've had this idea in my head forever, even before Receiver. I doubt many people will see this thread, much less try to make this idea reality. But you have to admit it would be awesome. Leave feedback below!
