Minecraft tries to meet the needs of many things, but its the hardest to meet the player. If its such a bad game, why do you have 220 posts on this forum?
The reason why it seems to you that it does not meet the needs of anything and falls short, is because you don't want to meet the game half way.
Yes it is a building game, and although it is true plenty of possible aesthetic blocks have not made it in, the game is still in development, the inclusion of upside down stairs and half blocks have almost recently been included, and they add that much more. Its more about being original with what you have to work with, and if your that stripped of ingenuity then you sir need to get a mod.
Yes it is a survival game, once again the game is still in development, you can't expect everything right away, and if your that pro with fighting, and came for a battle experience, go to a pvp server or back to CoD.
Yes it is an engineering game. Maybe its not that easy, and its constricting, but its not all about redstone. Which is why it got alot of hype, I mean its just a couple of items, yet you can do extreme things with it. So what if its constricting? how many other games do you get to make a computer with stone?
Is it an RPG?, game is still in development once again. They wanted to add some RPG ELEMENTS, not make it an entire RPG. And honestly, who is complaining about potions and ****?, if you wanted a big story, why did you come to a building game?
Yes it is an exploring game, you just haven't explored enough. You can find truely amazing things if you look hard enough, heck I don't care if the terrain is repetitive, your supposed to shape it yourself.
Whoever said they won't add CTF or Zombie siege? there was only so many things notch could do before he handed the reins over to jeb.
Minecraft will never truely be a finished game, its impossible, but it can sure feel like it if you sit down and use your imagination. So go back to some other game where they give you a preset story, and a million skills, and a impossible quest in which you risk your life apon. Because that was not the game, that Minecraft was supposed to be.

Try to make it a bit more original at least... And if its a glass box then it needs a ceiling and floor (underground?)otherwise its a glass wall.

The Explosive Muffin is a new server. By 1.2 We hope to get everything right but for now were in testing if you will.
If you wish to be whitelisted be sure to read through all of this post.
Apon joining the server you will spawn on Spawn Island, if you look around you would also notice a Mushroom biome, a good place to stay with shroom houses :tongue.gif: But if you don't want to stay, I reccomend making a boat and setting off.
Rules are pretty much the standard stuff, you can view them from spawn island on the boards.
If you are griefed, report it here, Screenshots would be helpful, even more so with the culprit in the act
