So what mod did you add when it started lagging? It could be because it is spawning mobs or entities.
I read the debugs and it looks like it's mostly entities that are causing lag, so I would guess that there are either too many entities from a mod or you have a farm dropping XP orbs and items that aren't despawning.
Hi, I'm working on a nukes addon and while I have made a working explosion, it's a vanilla-style explosion. Basically, I instead wanted to hollow out a large spherical area, and I was wondering if anyone knew a command I could do this with (or any other way that I could do it). Thanks!
First, I'm not looking for a guide on how to stay safe when downloading mods! I've been using mods for years with no trouble, using all the most trustworthy sources.
Instead, I was wondering if it was even possible for a Minecraft mod that I download to cause any damage to my computer outside of the Minecraft program? So this would be more like stealing data, compromising my system or the like, rather than just something like destroying all my Minecraft worlds.
Basically, is Minecraft (with Forge) perfectly sandboxed, or can mods leak out?
Well thanks everyone for replying, but I've already started the server now. It took around 3-4 days to get 8 players. Also the reason I'm advertising is so I can actually get people to play.
Also I ended up using Minecraft's official discord to get players.
I'm not sure about why they are spawning, but if you want them to stop, try spawnproofing the area with non-spawnable blocks (slabs, buttons, pressure plates). Hope this helps you!

Not sure if it has every possible seed, but this seed has most biomes nearby: 145847842106427

I've seen that one, but I think it will be too slow. I will look into it though

How much RAM is dedicated to the server? You will most likely need a minimum of 2GB to run all of those mods with more than one player.

Thanks, these are exactly the types of responses I'm looking for. (If only everyone on the forum could be that good!)

Just what I thought. So with no pop-ups or installers, it should be all safe then?

As far as I can tell, this is perfectly normal terrain generation. The biome is called 'Shattered Savannah', if you're interested. Hope this helps!
