lol Don't rule out ungodly epic physics and free motion blocks. Check out the grav gun in 303's Grapple Hook.

I know that's not ragdolls or gore or whatever, but it's a start.

But seriously, crappy mods out of the way:

    BiomeTerrain mod
303's Grapple Hook + Gravity Gun
    MiniMap
    ShrinkingPowder
    InGame Inv Edit
Some more but I can't remember them

Black screen on installing colored torches :sad.gif:. I installed it like I install any other mod, so I'm not sure what's wrong.

Did you remember to delete the Meta-INF?

If so, are you using a texture pack with the HD Patcher, I always have to repatch it when I install a mod that has its own textures.

The torches should work regardless of texture pack or picture size (Though you might have to use the HD Patcher for sizes bigger than 16x16)

When you copied the images, you put them in the main location of the Minecraft.jar not in any sub folders? I really can't imagine why they wouldn't work then. What OS are you using? It might be a mac thing or something?

    PS:

I could make it do sand also. If no one particularly objects, it will be in the next update

Also also, One Way Glass is getting close to having more block types!

lol I might be able to write something up that you could craft and set in the forest (Maybe check up to say, 25 block radius for trees on fire) and delete them. Though it might just delete the wood if a fire is anywhere in that 25 block radius...

What size are we talking. I could easily whip up something temporary that could delete any wood within a certain radius.

and you've tried turning them off and then back on? Also, the place bug should be fixed, it should place grass when you place the torch now.

I've placed green torches on the Sand, picked them up immediately and replaced them. I've then left them on for a few game days, left them off for a few game days, and even flicked them on and off half a dozen times with a redstone wire and lever. Absolutely no effect at all.

EDIT: I tried it on Stone, Cobblestone, and Gravel, and even Wood (for the hell of it) and no effect, but the green torches work fine on Bloodstone though - insta-grass.

they only are supposed to work on bloodstone... :SSSS:

Yea, the reason for this is so that you could still use them for different color lights and LED's for decoration without having your Obsidian or Smooth Stone turn into Grass.

We can take up a list of blocks people want to have changed to Grass and I can incorporate them into the Green's change list. (I could see sand being fine since I doubt anyone is decorating on top of sand BUT I may be wrong)

This is very nice. Everyone talks about Steam Punking the mobs but never actually get around to it. Heck I've been meaning to do it with my (Personal) Steam Punk skin. I like the various implementations.

yea Ayther is how I've been pronouncing it

Either way. Portal, I'm working on those blocks we talked about. We can toss around more ideas on the IRC

Also, anyone feel free to make suggestions.

As for now, I'm working on a version of Water that will heal over time and a block that nullifies fall damage.

Hmmm... The only other thing I can say is to make sure you have the most up to date version of my mod and that any other mod_ColorStoneTorch class files are gone from the jar when you install it. (Earlier versions had the Version tag in the class file name for god only knows why >.>)

I've fixed everything on Green Stone except for it ungrowing grass (Which I'm working on now)

It's 10:40 pm now. If I don't have it done by 11:00 PM (20 minutes), I'm releasing the update anyways so that you all can get the grass to grow at least.

    Edit:
Updated out but I'm still working on Ungrowing. (I have to double it up with a powered AND by block update). Getting there very soon.

posted a message on {REQ] Tripline
    I like this actually.

I think I might give it a go. I'm thinking, craftable trip wire block (Say, 3 strings in a row) and when you right click on a block, it sends the line out up to 4 spaces (If 5 in between then rightclick does nothing) and then the string would power both blocks it's touching.

This way, you could inverse power them so that you could set the trap and when the line breaks, the power stops and the trap is sprung. Simple to implement. I should have it done shortly if all goes well

Edit: I've suddenly become a little too busy for this sorry. There was a breakthrough half mod that I need to help with (It's gonna end up being a HUGE collab between like 4 people)

I'll leave what I was planning here. Base it off of PressurePlate, use a getBlockID in the space beside it facing away from direction placed. if 0 (Air) make into tripwire block up to 4 blocks OR not 0 (Air)

use supply power code from RedStone Torches

Investigate code that kills crops when walked on. else just make it kill itself on mob Use (See PressurePlate)

This would cause it to be placed facing away from the player and go up to 4 blocks then power every block under it (Directly under it that is) allowing for a wire to invert that input and go to a trap of some sort. Mob walks over, wire is destroyed, power is lost, trap is sprung.

of course, that I said was a bit out of lingo for Java I know but if I put it in Java terms, I'd have time to code it all the way. Sorry I can't finish this one but that's how I'd go abouts doing it

These are some strange glitches but thanks for reporting them!

I'm gonna test them out and see what I get.

As for what the Green torch is supposed to do (I may have broken something in the latest update somehow) is it will change a 6 block radius of Nether Stone into Dirt and place a 3x3 area of grass (Letting it then naturally spread from there). It should also make anything directly under it into Grass.

    Testing:
Green Stone Torch not making grass (AH HAH!)
    Purple Torch Removal (Hmmm...)

Also, firefudge, can you get me a list of the mods you are using so I can try and find what is conflicting?

    Edit:
I just remembered. MC updates blocks when blocks nearby are updated if not updated themselves through a command specifically by that block...

This means, the only way to update the dirt into grass is to turn the torch off and then back on.

Basically, spawn the Green Torch then turn it off (Any means works as long as it toggles to Idle) then turn it back on and it should work its magic.

I'm going to work on a fix for this as it shouldn't be that hard (I'm fairly sure I know exactly why it does this)

Edit2: Also, I'm not saying what you are saying isn't true but none of the torches crash me when I remove them (Off or On state).

Anyone else experiencing this glitch (Torches crashing MC on removal)?

Edit3: I've fixed the change to dirt and start growing grass on place. So no more having to toggle it to power it up.

I'm not releasing it yet until I fix the place grass under it no matter what

It still lets light through. If there is enough demand for it I can make it not let light in.

one-way glass doesn't work for me, it gives me a black screen.
I'm running 35 other mods so it might be a conflict, but you never know...

The only thing that should conflict is the Block ID which would only really do something when you try and place the block.

A black screen probably means that you didn't delete the older version of this mod. But I don't think that's the case because I believe there has only been one version of it. I'll look into this and see what I can find.

You should make more One Way Glasses, like one for Cobblestone, one for Dirt, one for wood, etc.

Yea I've mentioned this in other posts. It getting there.

A suggestion for the one way glass:

    Have one for each 'side.'

Like one block that allows to see from the top and another that allows to see from the bottom.

The recipies would be either glass above, or below the smoothstone.

I was going to do something like this but it would take up a lot of Block ID's (Mods have to share and MC is limited to a low amount {127 of which 91 are already in use} of block ID's)

I'm trying to work out a way to use the OWG vertically (Seeing through the floor or through the ceiling) but MC calculates player direction on only 1 axis so it doesn't know when you are looking straight up.

The alternative to this is to make the glass side opposite to whatever surface the block was originally placed on. This would mean that you would have to place a block then place the glass on the block (Having the Glass side face away from the block) then break the block the glass was placed on. Seems like a bit of work for each Glass block but so far it's the only way I can see solving the vertical direction problem.

Edit: Updated to Version 2.1 (Sorry for those who JUST downloaded the JUST released Version 2 but it had a bad glitch about the Blue Torch perpetually burning out the circuits... I don't know why that appeared but it's fixed now)
