posted a message on Spawning Chests with lore items inside

I'm making a command block that spawns a chest with a specific item with tags inside, but I'm having a bit of trouble making it work. The command I have currently is:

    /setblock ~ ~1 ~ minecraft:chest 0 destroy {Items:{id:tripwire_hook{tag:{display:{Name:["Boss Key"],Lore:["d1bosskey"],Count:1,Slot:13}}}}}

Using this command, it will spawn a chest, but the chest is empty. I'm almost positive I'm doing the brackets wrong. I just can't for the life of me figure out how it is wrong.

So far I've managed to spawn a chest with a tripwire hook inside, but can't make a tripwire hook with lore and a name appear.

    Any ideas?

    Quote from barclay1

Hi i run a minecraft pixelmon server and i use your mod for alot of things, and now the pixelmon mod is changing to 1.7.2, so i tryed your 1.7.2 nbtedit and now it seems all players that join my server need the nbtedit and they didnt need it in 1.6.4, so is there anyway to make it work so players dont need this mod to play my server while i and my staff members can?

I am also having this problem. This mod is vital to the operations of our server-- but now everyone must download it suddenly just to be able to log in.

The new Kanto project is underway as we begin assigning builders! This will be a massive undertaking that involves many talented builders.

A live map of the world can be viewed here:
    http://gold.pokeheavenmc.us:8123/

(Notice: Currently we have the live map set to NOT update automatically to prevent unwanted chunks from being rendered. All chunks that are rendered on this map are done manually by admins.)

    Here's the plan:

Each builder will be assigned a very specific area to build and perfect upon, which will be listed on this thread:
    http://pokeheavenmc....d-thread/page/1

Once a builder has finished their area, they may inform an admin so the area can be finalized and the builder can be assigned to a new project.

    What is a builder?

Builder is a player rank that allows exclusive access to our massive supply depot:

In here, builders can gather all the materials they need for any build without the need for creative mode. Builders also enjoy free Master rank benefits, including the ability to /fly and the use of all /kits.

You can become a builder by applying on this thread:
    http://forum.pixelmo...&p=47367#p47367

--and being approved by an admin.

posted a message on CustomMobSpawner Single Player Only?
It turns out the interface in the second pic is a different mod that is no longer a part of Forge.

I'm still kind of bewildered that there are custom mob spawners in single player MoCreatures that simply do not exist in SMP.

The server I am testing MoCreatures on is using Minecraft 1.6.4 (with MoCreatures 1.6.4) and MCPC+ as well as the NBTedit Forge mod.

So far everything I had planned is working great-- all we are missing now is the main event... that being MoCreatures that can be spawned from strategically placed and NBTedited mob spawners.

I'm having a lot of trouble here running MoCreatures and CustomMobSpawner on one of my servers. In single player mode, I find these:

But when I log into my server using the same mods, these spawners are not available. Even if I try to give myself one of these Mo Creatures spawners, say a bear spawner for example-- say I type something like /i 52:7266 or /give Kuwoobie 52:7266, it will just give me a regular spawner.

Not only that, but I have been going nuts trying to figure out how to access this interface I keep seeing on Youtube videos:

I figured the must be some key assigned to access this interface, but no amount of searching online will tell me. Finally, one video out of about 9 videos about CustomMobSpawner finally mentioned that you are supposed to right-click the spawner to access this interface... I tried this, it does nothing.

What I am trying to do is place custom MoCreatures spawners throughout the map in my online adventure world. I will then use Forge NBTedit to make them spawn fully customized MoCreatures and vanilla mobs that drop custom named and enchanted items.

So far I can only do this with vanilla Minecraft mobs, because I cannot make mob spawners spawn MoCreatures mobs on a server. This is becoming quite a hassle as there does not seem to be any information about the spawners in the image above online anywhere.

I'm having the same problem. This seems to be a common problem with Forge, where for some reason library files are missing. I'm doing my best to track down the files now. I'll let you know if I find anything new.

posted a message on Are Server Lists worth the effort?
We currently own and operate three Minecraft servers-- all of which are listed on various server list websites. Two of our three servers are modded with the popular Pixelmon mod, and one of these servers is in the top 100 (out of some 16,000) servers on Minestatus with several thousand votes each month.

Despite being extremely active, with new players coming in constantly, none of them seem to come from the server lists. I made a poll on our own forums asking players how they came to find our server. Not surprisingly, most answered that they were told by a friend to join, the second most selected answer was "Other" with players commenting that they found us by typing "Pixelmon servers" into Google.

Our oldest server, which is not modded with Pixelmon, is the least used by players, despite it being listed on just as many voting websites.

Is it just me, or are server voting site lists just a way for players to get freebies without actually contributing anything? Have you ever actually gone to a Minecraft server list website to look for a server to play on beyond the front page?

posted a message on Votifier port conflict
We recently moved our server to a new host. Suddenly votifier does not work. I have completely reset the Votifier plugin folder and set up Minestatus and PlanetMinecraft with all the new data generated on the new server. Upon testing the connection, it says it cannot connect and has "timed out."

Now, here is what I think the problem is:

When we were setting up dynamp, we had the same problem. Our IP directed us to someone else's dynmap using the default port. We were able to fix this by changing the port number in the config file.

We are assuming this same server which has the same IP as us also has votifier set up under the default port number, which is 8192.

We tried doing the same trick we did with Dynmap and changing the port number in the config, but it didn't work.

We are using a server node service for hosting-- not running it off our PC. We are also paying for a dedicated IP. Wouldn't having a dedicated IP remove this problem? If not, what else can we do to resolve this conflict? Does Votifier use specific port numbers or can it only use the one, default port number?

posted a message on Server Donation Chargeback Fraud
Lately we've had a couple of players withdraw their payments to our two servers. The reason given is unknown, but we assume they are kids who used their parents credit cards without permission, as PayPal tells us the payments were "unauthorized."

Trouble is, the payments were made weeks ago, and we are now negative in our account because of it. They also received everything they paid for, yet were able to get PayPal to charge back every dollar. Between the two of them, over the past week, we have lost $170 USD, and from the look of things, we cannot fight PayPal for it.

Currently we are looking for a way to prevent this from happening, or to fight it when it does. It seems incredibly unfair that people are able to make payments online, get what they want, then take back their money. Surely there is some system in place to prevent people from doing this?

posted a message on Our server is *ALWAYS* Full
Two months ago, we started up a server using a popular mod.

Trouble is... the mod is a bit too popular, as much as it is resource intensive. I have yet to see a server that uses this mod that can hold more than 60 players, regardless of their server's technical specifications.

Whenever there are more than 40 players online, it becomes really hard for the server to use its automated save function. Kind of like...

    Server: Saving World
40+ players in unison: LAAAAAAG OMG server crash? LAG!
    Server: World Saved

With more than 50 players, the server simply crashes upon attempting to save, regardless of how much RAM we are putting into it. Every other server I have seen with this mod have the exact same problem, with the exception of one individual server I have seen with a cap of 60 (not sure how they do it.)

So for now our server is capped at 40. During the peak hours of the day, we are constantly filled with 40/40 and many players are upset that they cannot get online due to it being full.

I have been thinking of possible solutions to this problem, but have been unable to find plugins or mods that do what I have in mind. Some things I have been looking for:

    * A mod or Bukkit plugin that can make Donors, moderators and admins a priority when logging in. This would be great because many players have donated more than $100 to our server but sometimes cannot get online due to it being full. I have found some plugins that do this but seem horribly out of date/abandoned.

    * A mod or plugin that can put players in a queue when trying to join the server when it is full. World of Warcraft does this with their heavily populated servers. I cannot seem to find anything similar for Minecraft servers.

    * A a way to somehow stop the server from crashing upon being auto-saved every 20 minutes or so when there are more than 50 players online. Would it be a bad idea to disable the save function altogether and risk having players lose their progress when it becomes completely overloaded?
