Ive been attempting to use prerelease 4 in a server in conjunction with MLG to generate a large map.... but it does this thing.

Sorry to say that, but in the current form this tool is just crap. It is very difficult to use, if you do not run it exactly as intended by the author, it fails with various errors (partially silent), and it can't handle Forge servers.
Actually, it runs forge servers just fine. You just have to rename the forge server file to minecraft_server.jar and put it into the MLG folder along with the other files and folders that the forge server installs.
As I type this, I'm generating a 10k by 10k world with both the highlands mod and underground biomes constructs.
Hello everyone!
This is one of my favorites mods, I found myself exploring caves in order to find various types of stone for my base to look nice. And after I got all colors needed, I notice one thing - stairs had old vanilla look... Black granite floor and marble walls with grey stairs isn't worst but I would like to use colored staircases... Is there any possibility that they will be added?
Best Regards
Wulf
I asked this question myself not terribly long ago. Apparently it is on the to-do list.
I was also directed to try the Carpenters Blocks mod, which adds the ability to make stairs of (almost) ANY block, which I did and promptly found to be amazing.
I don't know if others have seen this, or if it's already been brought up, but when I've gone down to the bottom level of the dungeons, there are many of what I assume were intended to be zombie-pigman spawners, but they are only just pig spawners instead.
I'm using the forge version.
I just found your mods today, this and the redstone paste mod, and I am IN LOVE. It's so incredibly simple in its function and adds so little in the way of items or complicated crafting trees, but then they provide such massive use and possibilities. It's exactly the kind of modding that I love to see. These will both be a must for me for.... well, as long as you feel the desire to update them.
Simply genius.
There is no option to change the ID of achievements in the config. As there isn't in many mods. I could change the ID of SimpleOre's achievements or Mystcraft's to fix it. Neither has the option to.
Support Request still stands
Simple ores does have the option to change the achievement ID numbers. Personally, I change them from the 5000 range to the 6000 range and everything works fine.
Last night it was updated to 1.6.4. Check Mystcraft's post to get the latest version. You will have to go to their site to get the download though.
Indeed! I already have it and have been attempting to find the correct configuration.
From what I can tell, Mystcraft uses 2 world ID numbers, one for the mod overall and then one for each age.
On my first attempt, I assigned 2-40 for DimID numbers in the config file, then proceeded to go to age 18. I found what appeared to be double the normal amount of SO2 ores to be present, except for Adamantium, of which there was none.
Then, I removed all the DimID numbers except for 18, erased the map files for it and went there again. I found a normal amount of SO2 ores and still no Adamantuim.
My current theory is that, through tedious trial and error, I may be able to find the correct ID for the mod itself, and so have all subsequent ages receive the ores equally without needing their own number assigned.
No idea why Adamantium isn't showing up, though. The config looks fine.
Also, I went to the nether and found that Onyx isn't dropping with any pickaxe whatsoever.
The link just loads a blank page for me. Could you upload it to an alternate site?
EDIT: Nevermind. I was able to get it by going to the link on my phone, installing the Mega app, then putting the file into my dropbox...
Then I updated to the new version of firefox and the link worked here too... Yeah.
Under your world's name are all the dimension that are made. Mystcraft dimensions start at 2 and go up for each one you make. They do skip dimensions used by other mods. The say MYST in the folder name.
Wow. If it's really that simple then I kindof feel like an idiot for asking. I would have tried that myself, but the latest Mystcraft is only still for 1.6.2 and (as one might expect) crashes on worldgen in 1.6.4
Thanks!
How would one go about finding the Dimension ID numbers for a mod such as Mystcraft?
My only real complaint with SO2 has been that it didn't generate in my Myst ages... but now it can?
I've made a John Smith Leagacy texture set for this mod, based off of textures made by another poster in this thread some time ago but altered and substantially added to as well.
I love this mod and the simplicity of the things it adds and have been using it for some time now on my server, the only thing missing was the textures to match the TP I also love, JSL.
Simply extract and add this into the assets folder in your current texture pack, if you want to use them, of course.
Or, here's my whole pack, a slightly altered version of JSL with SimpleOres2 and Mystcraft support.

Aye, that's what I did, but it just generates the DEFAULT world type anyway.
I've got the server set in a clean directory with only 3 mods, Simple Ores2, Mystcraft and Highlands. It's generating the ores and the Mystcraft stuff, but I just cant get it to generate in a HIGHLANDS or HIGHLANDS_LB world type.
Literally the only other thing I have changed is to modify the achieve ID#s for Simple Ores to be compatible with Mystcraft. Everything else is a straight new install.
The other thing is that I am running on and old machine with XP... so if that's the cause I'm probably just out of luck.
