actually Ocarina of time beat WindWaker by $200,000 (in purchases im only counting the 64 version) AND it has MUCH better game play (not a troll just accumulated opinions)

No that's perfectly fine, everyone has their own opinion =)
It's just that I played ocarina of time as a kid (around 7) and it really confused me, and because of that I don't really like it much today. But I got Wind Waker for my birthday when I was around 11, and I loved it, so of course I still love it today, years later =)

oh my gosh, i will use this all the time! i loved watching a let's play of the original one, but wind waker was one of my favorites! just one thing... for adventurecraft do i need modloader?

nope, it installs separately so you don't need to put it in your bin or anything. Just put it on your desktop or your documents and install it (use install by login if you have any mods, texturepacks etc on your minecraft) and you'll be good to go.

oh geez, that looks like a lot of work =P
Sorry for not replying, I went to a park for a barbecue in the morning and 1 hour after that I was invited to a party, the second one this weekend. I've never had so much turkey in my life...
But anyways, that texturepack looks fantastic, and I will use it almost immediately! I will probably use the 32x as anything above that will lag some people's computers. But I will also have a debug room where you can select what resolution you want, similar to tKm's debug room. I actually haven't looked at any of the textures yet, I simply checked out the thread, but I'll give it a nice look-over now!

Alright, since I have become active on this again, I think I am going to release some more updates in the textures. I have finished the arrows and the shield back, soon I will finish the Iron Boots. After that, I can finally make some new textures.

Sounds good! I think I'll start cleaning up Aryll's cutscene a bit, kind been putting it off but I got 30 mins and nothing else to do with it =P

Yeah that is one bug that I actually noticed, but I actually didn't even have enough time to fix or it might have not gotten saved with mapedit. Thanks for reminding me of that!
Also, Aryll's first cutscene IS very glitchy, and the part I think you're talking about is when the camera stops panning, the screen suddenly goes down a bit, then when you click it shoots back up again. I'll be sure to fix that in the next update, which I will be starting on about tomorrow because I have NO tutors or any stupid stuff this weekend so I have more time to work on this, plus the fact that I get monday off for thanksgiving =)

@Blaziken584: Yes I know it is very drawn out but you are only intended to see the cutscene once, as long as you are not a bug-tester or something. That's why I'm going to upload 2 versions once I get a few more updates up: A regular download, and a bug-tester download. The regular download is for anyone who wants to play regularly, and the bug-tester will be a map where you start off right after all of the intro stuff, to save you guys some time. But that will be in a FEW updates, not necessarily the next one.

Also, I am thinking about re-doing that cutscene.
In the real game, Aryll walks past a stationary camera, this happens twice in a row and takes about 15 seconds maximum. But because at the time that I was making this map, NPCs could not move (they actually can now, but only VERY recently) I made it the way it is. But now I think I may re-do that so that the NPC walks across, but that poses a minor problem, and another one that may ruin this possibility:
    1. I will have to reset most (if not all) of the timers in aryll's first cutscene, not that big a deal, but still worth noting
    2. Entities and scripts are frozen during cutscenes, which means I have to activate the script to make Aryll move BEFORE the cutscene starts. But that's not a problem at all (as long as she keeps moving even though the script is not running anymore, which I THINK works.). The main problem is the fact that entities get frozen during cutscene, which has an extremely high possibility that Aryll will freeze while she is walking. And as far as I know, there isn't a way to disable entity freezing, so I may have to ask around or just keep it the way it is.

    Thanks for the feedback!

Well, for me at least Aryll's orignal dialogue seems too choppy and jumpy for me, and sometimes the lighting changes, and it is all crazy, but anyway.

Yea, it seems your computer is near mine when it comes to performance, I get about the exact thing. I guess that would make sense why you chose the wool blocks then if it was that unstable, damn =(

Anyway, I really do like the animation you have, it is really cool =D Too bad you can't have a higher frame rate for it though =/

Now, for bugs, hmmm, I can't quite say I have really hit any bugs, I will go play through again and check =)

Also keep in mind that bugs usually occur when you try to do something weird or unintended, so try to do something that you wouldn't normally do. (such as how clicking on grandma after her dialogue was done teleported you to Aryll, but I think I fixed this =P)

Yeah Aryll's stuff is choppy but I can fix it a little bit, but not perfectly. I shall start working on this again tomorrow, if I have very few bugs to fix then I will just make Aryll's cutscene slightly less jumpy.

EDIT: Oh my god sirolu... That is AMAZING! You never fail to disappoint, and I have to say that this is some of the best work I have seen from you! I especially love the bow and the hookshot! I am so glad to have you making textures for this! =)
And luckily your textures can be put in place in as soon as 2 updates from now! (the next one will only be bug-fixes) But I have noticed one thing...
The shield is textured to look like it is facing you, but that doesn't make sense if the character is holding it in their hand. So I will probably make a script so that if the player does not have the shield in their hand, the shield is facing towards them in their inventory, but as soon as the player has the shield in their hand, the texture will change and will look like the back of the shield. Only thing I would ask from you is a texture of the back of the shield. Honestly, don't go searching for an image of the back of the shield, just make it up or something. I would imagine the back to look like a dark brownish/red color with a little bit of details, such as cloth folds or something, I dunno =P
But of course, if you really need to, feel free to look for a pic of the back of the shield XD

EDIT2: I was completely wrong, here is how it actually looks
    =P

Yay! I have played through what you have so far, and here are some criticisms =3

Well, in the beginning, I found it rather odd and annoying how Aryll was just a slideshow, when Grandma had a real text box. Also, your animation is VERY cool, but you have to smooth it out with the rest of it so it isn't choppy ;D

Also, you tend to have to skip around, and you don't have much direction unless you have memorized the game.

Oh, and I don't like the cutscene with the bird in the least bit to be honest, I liked the idea you had before with the animated wool blocks. I found it more creative and honestly far cooler than the video that opens in your browser. People with low end PCs would probably crash at that part. Also, the part with the video is a little glitchy, you have to click around a lot for something to happen.

But don't let this discourage you, as the pros are heavily outweighing the cons ;D Sorry if I sounded pessimistic, I was just saying what should be fixed and my opinions =)

Alright, thanks for your criticism! I was looking more for bugs but that can help as well =)
Unfortunately, most of the things you mentioned are that way for specific reasons and I am unable to change them or I can do very little about them, but let me reply to all of your points now.
Aryll's first dialogue was meant to have a cutscene during each text because in the real game the camera moved a lot during her dialogue and I wanted to replicate that, and could you be more specific with what you find annoying with aryll's dialogue? Because I tried to make it so that as soon as the cutscene was done, you could click to advance. Or is it simply the fact that there are cutscenes during her dialogue? This actually took me a long time and I'd prefer not to change it as the dialogue has MANY different things happening at once so it would be hard to change. Of course, if enough people complain about this, I see no reason to not change it =P

The animation of link showing the item is actually just a bunch of overlays being flashed by really fast. The choppyness you are experiencing is from the frame rate of the animation. Scripts on onLoad run once per tick. A tick is 20 times each second, meaning the maximum limit for anything running is 20 times a second. Therefore, I am unable to increase the frame rate for this, period. The only way to do it would be to get Cryect to change the amount of ticks per second, which would increase lag in every single map and break certain scripts and just be all-around hectic. So unfortunately I can't do anything about that. =(

Everything after aryll's second dialogue hasn't been worked on story-wise, so once I get the bug-update out I will start working on Orca's part, which comes next in the story. This is why things aren't telling you where to go.

And finally, we reach this part.
I've been thinking a lot about this one for months now, and unless I can convince some of the people that we need to add in a scripting function that can stream video from a website in the adventurecraft window, then I don't see what I can do. This one is completely open for suggestions on how I can do it but I can safely say that animating it with wool blocks is not an option. This caused MASSIVE lag and caused my computer to crash repeatedly once I finished it. And this is on my high-end computer that runs AC on far with 150fps. There is absolutely no way I can make it out of wool blocks because literally 95% of people would be unable to play my map because they would crash at that cutscene. I know it's dirty and it doesn't look good, but I'm really running out of options on this one. I've been thinking about possibly making a model of the bird in techne, but it would take an unreasonably long amount of time. For comparison, making the deck of the King of Red Lions took me about a week. Unless I dedicate all of my time from the map and put it on the bird model, it could take over a month, and it would be hard, irritating work. so with this, if you have an idea, please feel free to tell me, as I don't like the browser either, but I hoped that it would only be temporary and then I could change it later...

If you are talking about after you click yes or no to watch the video it gets glitchy and you have to click a lot, then I know exactly why that's happening. I scripted it so that clicking does absolutely nothing until 10 seconds have done by since you clicked yes or no. This is just to avoid you from accidentally clicking on the NPC again =P
But I can change this so I'll do that in the next update.

Geez, it looks like I pretty much denied most of your criticism =/
While I do agree with you on most points there, I simply don't have the power to change it, I'm sorry. But other than that, did you find any bugs?

    ALRIGHTY GUYS!
I am uploading the newest update as I am typing this message! I have had to rush this update A LOT in terms of bug-testing. While I was doing a bug-run, I fixed some errors, yet I didn't have enough time to finish others. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me any bugs or issues you find throughout my map as I will be releasing a bug fix in 3-4 days if I get your cooperation. Currently this update only goes up to the part right after the cutscene url Aryll gives you.

Here are some bugs I found myself:
~Triggering the first cutscene with Aryll is delayed by half a second after you go over the trigger
~If you click on grandma AFTER she has finished her dialogue, you get instantly teleported back to aryll, and she will start her second dialogue. It was pretty funny finding this on my own because it's like a teleport for lazy people! Still it has to be fixed =P
~The text above the url has a spelling mistake and there MAY be some bugs with it, haven't tested it but I have a feeling there is one...? But as I said I have no time to check it out.

Alright, here is the download for you guys: http://www.mediafire.com/?p7gimiy2gpcigw9

EDIT!!!!!!!!!!: I know the download says that it is r34, it's really r41 so please ignore that, I shall fix the numbering in the next update, the one that comes in 3-4 days. Also, I'll re-do the front page tomorrow, as it is way out of date.

Alright guys, I was away ALL day yesterday so I didn't get any work done on saturday, my most productive day. However I will try my best to have everything ready for the update by late today. If I can't, I'll try to upload it early tomorrow. But at this point I can't really say anything with absolute certainty.

Yes! I have talked it out with an admin, and he is allowing me to re-post it as long as I put down copyright information at the bottom =) Here is the new link for it <3

    http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/675827-。★-video-game-texture-dumps-★。/

Nice, it's looking good. I'm surprised you already got like 4 more games worth of dumps!
I just wish people would actually use the format and wouldn't start randomly spamming ideas that are useless. Such as a guy saying "Oh my god you should totally do one for black ops!" *totally not hinting towards that mw2 guy* I mean, most of the textures would just be guns, and any other textures would just be a random block of texture that looks like dirt or metal, not much you can make a texturepack out of... That is, even if it WAS possible to dump those textures...
also, fixing the first cutscene is taking me quite a while =(

I knew it, I totally jinxed myself.

Y'know how I said "I should have this update easily in time if this good progress continues!"? like two times? Well... I screwed myself over.
Lucky me, I stupidly downloaded the next update for adventurecraft which was SUPPOSED to fix all of the storage blocks so that they would properly save a specific tile (which I never used so it didn't affect me) but I just found out that it erased EVERYTHING that was in my storage blocks. Y'know that beginning cutscene?
    GONE.
The only thing that remains are the actual blocks, but all their memory is erased. No triggers, previous storage blocks now have nothing, timer blocks had their times re-set to 0, all the pointers for triggers have been erased.
I'll see you guys in a half hour...

Ahhh, finally back from my long train of events, straight from 8:30am to 9pm.
But now that I'm done, I have a nice solid 1 hour and a half to work on the map, so I expect to completely finish aryll2's dialogue and get started on Ocra's part(BOOYAH!)
I've been pretty excited to start ocra's part because It will be the first NPC to do something other than just talk and give an item, I get to insert monsters now! but of course he will also talk and give an item >.<

Holy crap. I rocked that last half hour SO damn hard. I finished nearly EVERYTHING (READ: EVERYTHING) in Aryll2's dialogue in just that half hour. All the overlays are set up, the animation is set up, I tested everything and it works wonderfully. Only 2 things are now left in her Dialogue.
    1. Fixing the camera block as that it actually works (for some reason it clears the camera each time I save and quit, then load up the map again. If I used mapedit then I am CERTAIN it will be fixed so absolutely no issue there =D) Only thing is that I make everything without mapedit, test it, then if it works I do my special brand of kossnet magic to make it mapedited ;D But clearly this camera block is being fussy so I'll just mapedit it now =P
    2. Set up the URL block to link to the youtube video of the cutscene.

That's it! I even tested it a few times and once I finish that, it's on to Orca's part and the next update will be out. I shall definitely have this out on time if I keep having this much progress.

Anyways, it's about time for me to be heading to sleep, and I also have a full day scheduled for me tomorrow, so don't expect me to post/reply to anything. See you guys later!

Argh, my post was taken down due to copyright issues? That makes no sense, that means most texture packs were to be taken down as well *sigh. Anyway, I can privately give you the dumps then until I can talk it out with the moderator, which hopefully doesn't ignore me =X

ah, so that's why the link stopped working =(
I don't understand exactly what's with it anyways, as long as you didn't use an adfly link or anything, it should be fine 0.0
But anyways, I finished all of aryll2's overlays (Yes I am calling her aryll2 now to easily distinguish between aryll's first and second cutscene) So now I should probably get started on putting some of the stuff together now, I've got the overlays, the animation, the youtube video, MOST of the script, so I'll start testing it now. See you guys prob tomorrow with the results/progress.
