Good job gerb and Korthos...it looks like the start of the Viking village from 'How to Train Your Dragon'.

Thanks! I only did a tiny bit of building though. I will soon start building lots of buildings, posting pictures in this subforum when I feel like it.

Thanks for the advice, mate. The Gothic town was scrapped early on. You'll have to wait and see what the Victorian town will look like. I have so many plans for it. There will be way more cohesion, more buildings, cooler bridges and everything; it'll look splendid, just wait.

And pavilions. You can't go wrong.

    Also, what mob is that?

It's the creeper in a texture pack I love but forgot the name of. It's a non-fallout post apocalyptic pack at least.

Rillian, I really do enjoy your builds, especially the stave church. (which isn't a proper stave church, stave churches were made of wood) and the medieval town. But the Gothic and Victorian towns look like a few separate buildings (which are in their own right awesome) put close to each other with paths in between. And it looks like a village with large buildings.

What you should do to medieval towns is that they should be denser. They should be busy-looking with beams and arches and barrels and crates and signs and what not. Your medieval town achieved this pretty well, but the streets were so... open. Crates, barrels and market stands are extremely useful for breaking down the emptiness. And two protips: 1. Try to keep the wheatfields outside the town, it gives a very nice atmosphere and realism, especially combined with rivers and farm houses. 2. Stone first floors look nice. If you want the less rich houses to be without stone, reduce the height to one floor.

Victorian towns, on the other hand, should have gardens around the villa looking buildings. Alleys and bridges, parks, etc. If you want less villa-ish buildings, try to build them denser and more industrial, the city being grey in the middle and greener the further out you go.

That's the two cents of a person who really hasn't made any successful towns in the past, not having tried in a while and spent the last few weeks sketching buildings in Skyrim and on the Voxel Box.

Wow, very nice! I think you should add a huge port with a couple large Scandinavian-styled ships.

*Cough* I gave him the idea first.

A medieval hillside village of course. Can't go wrong. Remember; wheatfields create a lot of atmosphere.

    nope.avi

I assumeyou are coming from Terraria to Mc, it is not possible to copy a world from there into MC. If you are coming from a pocket version of MC, there is still no way to copy it, sorry.

    No...

Take your pick, I personally use Cartograph G, it has a lot of different effects too.

I meant like a flat map.

    Quote from Flutterwry

If it is realtek HD audio, then it can literally to say be a pain in the ass to install new drivers for sometimes. Find out what chipset it is, Realtek or VIA, this can be done by computer model/brand or motherboard model and brand, or if using a discrete PCIE/PCI audio card. Till then limited on support.

Edit: Also forgot, what operating system do you have. Windows XP, vista, 7.

Also I went to bed, hopefully someone else in here or this board can help you.

    Windows 7, Realtek HD.

posted a message on [HELP PLEASE] Audio driver failing
On sunday, i restarted my computer to install updates, and when turning on again, it refused to proceed from the Windows logo screen. So I was forced to press the off-button. When I turned it on again, it didn't have sound. My computer tells me the audio driver has a problem. It suggests installing a new audio driver. At first, it tried it itself, but then it failed to do that. I don't know anything about this stuff. Can you guys help me?

This pack is amazing!!! It's one of best 16x packs on my list. :Diamond: :Diamond: :Diamond: :Diamond: :Diamond:
Try out making animated textures, they would really fit with runic theme of pack. :laugh.gif:
Could you update to 1.1? It's just one texture! :huh.gif:
Also, you can now change sky color for packs, could you make it dark too, because the bright sky hurts my eyes when I play on this. :Zombie:

Sorry, I am busy all the time, making an adventure map, a new texture pack, school and Terraria.
