    Excellent job, Koolwitak! I spent a few minutes this morning emailing Notch and using that problems/ideas thing he set up to try to get him to include support for HD textures includong animated water/lava and fire, watch and clock textures etc. Hopefully he takes notice... :smile.gif:

    Thanks, that would be really awesome if he actually provided support for at least 32x32 textures

    Then we wouldnt have to worry about installing this patch every time...

    This patch is not compatible with the new texture pack selector, it only works if you install the packs the old way

    UPDATE - VERSION 19

    The "black screen" problem should now be fixed, and you no longer have to uncheck custom water and lava



    Version 19 Includes:
    - Xau's HD Texture Patcher v1.1.9_02
    - More in-depth uninstallation instructions
    - NEW HALF-BLOCKS!! (don't look like bathroom tiles)
    - Brighter custom lava texture (it glows more too!)
    - Higher contrast solid iron blocks (less grey looking)
    - Darker minecart texture (actual minecart, not icon)
    - Better looking flint and steel texture (fixed by me)
    - Scarier spider eyes! (not the same old red ones)
    - (Alternate) FPS-style pumpkin HUD (by tombones)

    NEWS - 11/29

    Over the past two days I got my account hijacked, was kidnapped, tortured and raped, taken to New York, forced to visit relatives in Ithaca, beaten severely, tied to the back of a truck, and finally dragged back to Mass.

    So, without further complications, I will release Version 19 which was supposed to be released Saturday night.

    Unfortunately I don't think Obsidian handles transparency, similar to the glass texture, which can only have either solid space or empty space, which is why the streaks in it are solid white instead of faded white

    the gold block (i think this is the case for some other smelted blocks too) is only showing the fancy detailed side, there is no brick sides to it (like in the terrain pic). As you can imagin this makes it hard to build a good looking structure.

    I was thinking about changing the block so all sides have gold bricks, but until Xau updates his patcher to fix the solid ore blocks, they are all going to have the same textures on every side, nothing I can do about it

    Should the flint and steel texture be changed to a lighter?

    I personally think it looks a little awkward, especially because the steel is floating in mid-air when you hold it

    A lighter would be look better and be much simpler

    Press ctrl+alt+del to open the task manager

    Go to the "processes" tab and look for "java" or "javaw"

    Right click them and select "end process"

    Then try deleting the bin folder again

    That doesn't mean its not a possibility, after all he might have thought:

    "Maybe I shouldn't post this in the Mapping and Modding section because most people there would be familiar with Mixcraft... I should put it in the Survival Single PLayer section so people there will think it was made by me and wont know that I actually stole it from Koolwitak! I'm so clever!!"
