Love your textures, have been using them since 1.3, curious if you've been able to get Photoshop, I guess being a texture pack designer doesn't exactly bring home the bacon.
Also, do you have any mods that might cause random stuff like that to happen?
It's probably a conflicting mod. Either that or "random mobs" is messing up my wolves.
Mixcraft isn't exactly supposed to be mod compatible. As soon as I incorporate even one mod, everyone will start asking me to make it compatible with all the others. Besides, I prefer minecraft the way it's supposed to be played. That's the main reason I try to make my textures look similar to the originals.
Yes I may have blew up some of the claims, but I DO have facts supporting that what you are doing isn't allowed (ie copyright infringement)
1. You say it your self in your credits you used textures from Gilmmar's textures. This is his copyright status on his texture pack steampunk (http://tinyurl.com/2t9all) and it also says "However, please don't release your texture pack whilst it still contains any artwork from this pack." on his topic and has a list of users allowed to use his textures (you sir are not on it).
2.AaGeOn CLEARLY states that you can't reproduce / use his texture as a base or in original form and is protected under international copyright laws.
3. SMP's textures are also basically the same.
The point is that you can't take peoples textures and then use them as a base to even change stuff then redistribute it AND make money off of it. And unless you have proof that everyone from your credits page 1. allowed you to use there textures and redistribute/ make money. And if you don't have that what your doing can/ is illegal under some of those peoples copyright terms. And it dosn't matter if even 90% of these textures are yours (which it seems to be) you can't have a DL for the others textures. Let alone make money off of it
Did you ever stop to think that just maybe I've already spoken with these people and that they have given me permission to use the textures I'm using? Yes, generally we texture pack creators don't like other people using our stuff, but sometimes when they only want to use a few textures and they ask nicely, we decide to give it to them. I personally get messages sent to me all the time from people asking to use some of my textures, and generally I don't mind if they borrow a few things here and there.
If you want specifics, then here they are: 1) Glimmer and I just discussed the use of his biome colors a few months ago, and I can send you the messages if you don't believe me. 2) Aageon was fine with me using his water animation, especially since I changed the color and lowered the resolution. 3) SMP left the forum for a while and wrote in the first page of his topic that people could take his textures and use them as they please, which was when I first added a few of them as a base for textures I hadn't completed, such as the armor.
You think there's like some big conspiracy going on, but the truth is that most of the popular texture pack creators just want people to be happy and be able to enjoy minecraft. That's exactly why we're making these packs in the first place. It's not like any of us even charge money for these packs. We just automatically get a tiny fraction of a cent every time someone downloads our pack. Maybe you don't like that, but it's nice for me to know that all the hours I've put into this over the past 18 months are at least worth something. So I would appreciate it if you stop accusing me of these things when you don't even have all the facts.
Also, if you wish to continue this discussion, I would prefer to do it through private messages.
The jungle logs don't really seem to fit well with the other logs. The oak, pine, and birch logs are more RPG styled, and the jungle logs kind of look like they were drawn with pastels.
I might change the jungle logs at some point. What they're really missing is the shading on the sides to give them that rounded look that the other three have, but the only problem with that is that many jungle tree trunks are 2x2 blocks instead of the normal 1x1, so if I made them shaded on the edges it would look awkward on the bigger jungle trees... but I'll see if I can produce something better.
- Updated patcher for 1.2.4 - Added HD wooden plank variants - Added HD jungle tree leaves - Added HD jungle tree trunk
NOTE: The "HD Font" option does NOT work with the newest patcher. You will have to wait for the creator of the patcher to update this option to be compatible with the latest version. Until then, all texture packs will be forced to use the regular font. Sorry for the inconvenience.
NOTE: The only textures that still need work are the circle stone brick and the two alternate sandstone blocks. Since I'm still unsure how I'm going to approach them or what exactly I want them to look like, I'm releasing the pack as it is now.
well the fact that this is a remix of sorts it depends on the other texture pack makers.
No, it doesn't depend on any other texture pack makers. I can make my own blocks. I don't just wait for other packs to update and then steal their stuff and put it in here. I've put a lot of work into a lot of these textures.
On that note, I will start working on the update now. It should be done by tonight.
I think this texture pack looks good. I'm a little reluctant to use it because the last one I used infected my entire hardrive. I doubt this one will, but I have decided it's best to side on the side of caution. However, this pack is a ingeniouse combination of what minecraft originally looked like, and the real world. This is by far the best display I have ever seen.
The video you have at the beggining is also very good, but I was kind of interested on how you didn't include any enemies into it. Any reason why?
I actually didn't make that video, one of my fans did. It's a little old though. It was made during Version 24 of Mixcraft. Maybe if I can get in touch with the creator of that video we can start working on a newer one. If I end up doing that I will make sure to ask him to add a few shots of the enemies and maybe some combat.

No, it really doesn't... lol

No, no they're not... I have no idea why that's happening...

No problem. That applies to pretty much any updates.
As long as there are no new textures, we shouldn't need a new version of Mixcraft.

Actually it's fine, just run the patcher again. It will fix everything.
There aren't any new textures or major changes, so the old patch still works.

The sheep color is a lot lighter and duller than the corresponding wool color. There's nothing I can do about it though.
For example, you can barely tell the difference between the white sheep and the "pink" sheep.

So is Paint.NET, and I actually use a combination of both, depending on which textures I'm working on.

This is Version 42, I think it's the right version for 1.2.3

- Fixed "HD Font" option in patcher
NOTE: This is just a patch update so the HD font works. No new texures.
Enjoy!

I think I can fix that now. Give me like 30 minutes.
