    sounds cool I guess, but I actually think maybe right-clicking could flip the thing open and closed? That way you could use both.

    This seems like it'd be most useful if Notch actually makes some sort of "gloves" or wristwear as part of the armor set; that way this could be added to your bare hand instead of taking up an inventory slot.

    I have to say the meat arrows is somewhat laughable :tongue.gif: I mean, it would basically mean medics would never even have to get within 100 blocks of those they were healing... I think it's safe to say it would be somewhat unbalancing.
    Not that it isn't hilarious to think about someone getting shot with meat, though.

    Anyway I think, uh, this could have legs maybe. I mean, assuming... spawning mobs should still exist, but what you're recommending sort of requires that they don't despawn. Which sounds iffy.

    Ignoring that, or assuming it's fixed in some way, I think that there should be male and female mobs of breedable types then. Possibly only different in color (male chickens could just be red) or even more (male pigs could look more like boars and be found in the forest), etc.

    I made a thread on attracting and repelling mobs ( shameless self-promotion ) that maybe might be of interest to your breeding ideas, what with needing to lure mobs and such to your farm?

    Right, and no humpage. Lil' baby mobs should just spawn near a male and female adult when you're not around. I don't need to see two creepers goin' at it.

    I don't really see any need for that, I mean... look at leaf blocks. Clearly Notch is already able to make certain parts of blocks see-through and other parts of the block opaque. I think the main problem would actually be in stacking and, as brought up previously, orientation.

    But I sure would like ramp blocks! Jumping is so undignified.

    Mhm, any realistically view-obscuring phenomena ought to do that, I would think :3 And maybe I've just been playing too much Pokemon, but perhaps the sandstorm should damage you slowly over time if you're out in it?

    Haha, actually I think you're analyzing it just fine. I think in the Stackable Food thread, mrwormy posted the idea of getting "full"; as in after eating a certain amount of food you wouldn't be able to eat any more until your full bar went down... or something. I think that might be a good thing in regards to medics as well? (although Notch has said he wants to stay away from hunger, so I dunno if this counts.)

    As for range, I always considered the range to be "slapping distance", or however far you can normally reach while attacking, which seems to be about 1.5-2 blocks. Does that sound good?
