Want to Know How to Build Something From A Game Such as STALKER, Fallout, DayZ, or Borderlands?
Look no further! I have created a video series in which I will show you how to build post-apocalyptic structures in the blocky world of Minecraft!
Each Week I will post 3-4 videos of structures I've built, and structures I am building. I will also be taking requests and providing tips and tricks on constructing a post-apocalyptic world.
When I complete a set of builds, I will post the maps for download so that you can see the structures for yourself.
While building I will also discuss the miscellaneous such as history of the game that inspired the build, interesting facts, and so on.
In most of my builds I will not use any third party tools to edit the world, only those provided in the vanilla game. The only mods I will install will be those to change how the blocks appear and minor details such as advanced lighting and moving grass. This way I can avoid using outdated mods and not have to stop building in order to wait for a mod to update.
First Episode: Building Roads
If you want to get a layout of what you are building without the use of paper, building a road system is the way to go!
Picture Previews of videos to come!

Apr 17, 2012KnightwingIAm posted a message on Sony Vaio Laptop, Model VPCEA24FM = Laptop from hellFor the past six years now I've been using laptops since I cannot afford to buy a desktop. My first laptop was a Dell Inspiron; It lasted me a good four years before slowing down to become nothing but a massive paperweight. My second and current laptop, a Sony Vaio with and i3 Core processor, I've had for around 2 years and during the past two months has been over-heating, shutting down by itself, crashing when I open more than one window on any browser, and basically chocking over itself every 15 minutes. Hell, just as I am writing this forum post in Microsoft Word the thing is obliterating its very soul.Posted in: Computer Science and Technology
Before I get a whole bunch of spam about buying new computers, tips on the fan, checking task manager, and all the cliche diagnostic crap that everyone keeps repeating to me, let me point out a few things.
First of all, I have all four cores (That's about 4 gigs of ram) running. I have only the necessary programs running in Task Manager, and yes, I have clicked "Show Processes from all Users". My fans are spotless and are an inch off the desk.
Secondly, the hard drive has more than 160 gigs of free space. Third, I notice that some of the programs that are necessary for the computer to run (Desktop window manager for example) are hogging up the ram every now and then. If I disable them it will make my system very unstable.
Fourth, I don't have the cash to buy a desktop...
Fifth, Like I said before, this machine can't run a single program without having a seizure.
Sixth, I'm this close - [ ] - to casting this pile of crap out my window.
So If anyone, if ANYONE can help me, I would appreciate it very much.
Mar 22, 2012Hello!Posted in: General Gaming
Recently I ordered a new copy of Mass Effect 2 from Amazon for about $20. Unfortunately I was hasty at the time and as soon as it was shipped I realized that the copy I bought was for Xbox 360 rather than the Playstation 3.
Now I have nothing against my Xbox 360 other than I have to pay for online play (Which I cannot afford) and I don't have an HDMI cable for it.
I would like to know if I could trade my brand new, unopened Mass Effect 2 Xbox 360 copy, at retailers such as Gamestop and Best Buy for the Playstation version.

theres a reason u cant spawn the dungeon armors and stuff. its because they want u to work for the good stuff.
I know but I need those items for a video, but since the mod is made in such a way that it forces you to play the way they want you to play, then I wont be able to use it for a video.
Jul 24, 2011KnightwingIAm posted a message on [1.7.3] Aether Collaboration Mod - V1.02 - NEW MOBS, FIXES, ITEMS AND FEATURES!I wish this was compatible with single player commands (disables it), planes mod (planes dont fly), and too many items (I cant spawn some of the items). I'm trying to make a Machinima set but its soo annoying because the incompatibility with these mod's make it impossible. If it was fully compatible then It would be an excellent mod, but since it's not than its just another regular mod.Posted in: Minecraft Mods
Jul 24, 2011I like the Aether, but it feels too, magical. I would like a Space Mod, a Mod that would bring Minecraft into a Space Age!Posted in: Requests / Ideas For Mods
Note: This thread is a rough draft, I will improve it over time and smoothen rough spots, feel free to suggest things!
First of all is transportation. When it comes to how to get there, people are divided. Some go all the way to the magical end of the scale and shout "Portals! Portals!". Others on the realistic end shout "Sophisticated rockets! Sophisticated rockets!". Well, both ideas are nice, but are nothing more than either too magical or too realistic.
I have a solution. Compact rockets.
Step 1, the Assembly:
The first misconception of rocket transportation in Minecraft is that you have to craft a Saturn V rocket just to leave the atmosphere. This is what many suggestions ask, and for a good reason; Keeping exploration a challenge. But yet these suggestions require so many new items that it becomes even harder to code. That's why I believe rockets should use the least amount of new items in assembly.
Remember folks, this is Minecraft. We can create mine carts on a 1x1 meter table with only five iron bars.
Here's an more Minecraft-theme friendly alternative. The rocket is made of three parts, the nose (every ship's gotta hav' a nose), the body (Where you sit), and the engine (If you have no clue at all what purpose an engine serves, then wiki it).
Why only three parts? I use the "K.I.S.S" system (Keep It Simple, Silly!) when it comes to creating new content in Minecraft. That way it doesn't become a headache for players and coders.
Lets start off with the bottom/rear of the rocket. Rocket engine uses a "Blast chamber", which is basically nothing more than a glorified furnace that has been reinforced with iron and obsidian coatings. This blast chamber is put inside a body section of the rocket which has fins on it (Aerodynamics and sexyness). Very simple, right?
Next is the body. Basically we throw a boat into an iron casing to create the cockpit, but wait, there's more! Everyone knows that space dust in your eyes can really screw up your day, especially since much of that space dust is made of microscopic, sharp diamonds. Ouch!
Therefore we need a windshield. A glass wind shield will erode quickly from being bombarded by micro-diamonds and the UV rays will hurt our eyes. Therefore it will be a polarized diamond windshield! Which consists of nothing more than a row of three diamonds and a dye of choice (Custom colored windshields, anyone?).
Also we will need something to control the plan- ahem, I mean space ship, with. A joystick is a wonderful tool, but do we really need a new item? A lever will do the job well so we'll smack that baby down right into the middle of our cockpit along with a button or two just for the sake of machinery!
Finally well finish this simple yet effective creation with a super sexy diamond nosecone! It is made from an iron nosecone plated with diamond.
Now you may be thinking "This guy never told us the recipes for the parts!" well, that's because I'm leaving that up to the modders to figure out for themselves. I just wrote down a basic outline.
With those three main parts we can assemble a rocket that fits into our inventory.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Lauching and Flying+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
To launch we would need "Launch pads". Basically a pad where you place a rocket to launch it (Duh). This would be basically a stone platform with an iron rod extending vertically to place the rocket on. Just right-click the launch pad with the rocket to, well, place the rocket.
You get into your rocket, all ready for lift-off, and you press SPACEBAR to start your engines, but nothing happens.
To fuel your rocket you need to access the rocket inventory by pressing I (you can change the keys if you wish). What you do then is place a stack of gunpowder on the top slot, and anything burnable in the slot bellow (Anything lower than coal will last you about 10-20 seconds depending on the average burn rate, a block Netherrack will last you 15 minutes of flight while coal and a bucket of lava will last you 1-3 minutes of flight).
It's burning gunpowder in an explosive manner that pushes the rocket forward.
The key set I see most beneficial is W to go faster, S to go slower, A and D to turn, SPACE to go up, LSHIFT to go down.
Here is the most controversial of all suggestions, a randomly generated universe or a pre-set one. Please vote in the poll.
This is a basic layout of an idea, I will add on more and more with new suggestions. I see that it is fit to suggest something that the community would like to see rather than something that just I would like to see.

You have to have a decent sized area at level 16 or below to help encourage them to spawn. Just take the time to light up all the caverns around you. I found 4 of them today while making my "slime spawner".
Slimes spawn in specific chunks unfortunately....
