    We can't moderate what we don't understand, and I'm not going to have our staff use google translate for every single message, because that simply isn't reasonable.

    Oh yeah, because that is totally what I meant.
    Not even worth arguing about, good luck with the server. Hopefully it'll be as cool as it was 3 years ago.

    Quoted from another server Owner.
    ''As for the language, I wouldn't want [servername] to be portrayed as a ''racist community'' so I want to let them be able to speak in other languages to a certain extent. If you see your name pop up in what they're saying or just feel as if you need to check up on them, just use google translate for a rough idea of what is being conversed. If anything is out-of-line; swearing, dissing etc. feel free to punish accordingly. Just take a screenshot or two of reference in case they start to cry about it.''

    * Some feedback
    1) Leesykate (Donator) >> There are a few players who speak only Dutch that I have come across, I've managed a conversation by copy/pasting in Google translate with them before. They seem like a nice enough bunch...I understand that languages one does not speak are a real pain to moderate, though.
    2) UltimaHunter (Co-Owner) >> Most people do speak English and on a server that's physically hosted in America with three English speaking owners and mostly English speaking staff (as a first language, except for you, Clineex, you special cookie. :P ) I think it makes sense to have the language as English only. If anyone takes this offensively, then I do apologise, but it'd be the same if we were playing on a Spanish server, and we were expected to speak Spanish because most of the players were native to Spain and such.
    4) RedJackDaw (Moderator) >> As much as I'd like members to speak English, it would be racist to force them to speak it and punish them if they don't.

    * Why am I complaining ?
    So yeah. Yesterday, my friend Ajeffr1 was warned for misstyping /r twice. If my memory is correct, she accidentally said ;
    #r ah ouais (seriously? Looking 2 words up on Google isn't a pain in the butt, is it? Actually, it should be one word. I'm pretty dang sure everyone here knows what 'ah' means, no?). The other sentence, I do not remember what it was, but it wasn't a very long sentence either. Afterwards, she got mad at this rule and how severe the staff on the server was about it, so she started saying random stuff \o/ (I told her not to, but she insisted). I understand warning her about that though, but not the reply fails. How would you guys feel if you struggled with the english language and were constantly warned for misstyping? I'm pretty sure you wouldn't enjoy the severity of the rule either. :(

    * My point...
    I understand the point of this rule and I somehow agree with it. Though, I believe it is being enforced a little bit too much, which completely pis-sed me off yesterday since I usually never get warned for french if it is a reply fail or 2-3 words globally. Let's be honest here, this server has a player base of 4-5 members. It's not hard to keep track of the chat and use google translate if you feel anything bad is being said in other languages.
    (but don't worry, I do not have the intention of staying on this server, i'm trying to earn this privilege for anyone else who struggles like Ajeffr1 & I)

    Merci d'avoir lu.
    Sincèrement, Clineex.
