    posted a message on Custom font just shows as boxes in game

    You can start the game with a protocol window, found in the options of the launcher, there you can see what might be happening with your pack.

    posted a message on updating an old texture pack...

    It's even better to look into .minecraft/versions/<version to update to>/<version to update to>.jar/assets, as it contains all textures and models, because some other resource pack might not have all of them.

    Open <version to update to>.jar with winrar or 7zip as a .zip achieve.

    posted a message on Convert resource pack from 1.7.10 to 1.12.2

    I even converted textures of [Beta 1.8] and 1.7 together into 1.12.

    Open .minecraft/versions/1.12/1.12.jar, open the 1.12.jar as a .zip and copy assets into the 1.12 folder.

    This will be your lookup table, don't delete/paste anything in/into there.

    Make a copy of the 1.7 texture pack. (intentionally not resource pack, because models or sounds make the difference)

    Open both the 1.7 copy and the 1.12 assets, you might want to change a few things, like everything in lowercase, rename some folders, etc.

    posted a message on 1.14 assets download

    Go to .minecraft/assets/indexes, there open the version of your choice, ctrl+f and search up the files you need and their hash is what you have to look for in .minecraft/assets/objects, the first 2 letters in the hash tell you in what folder that item can be found in, the hash itself is then the item's name.

    Copy it to your resource pack and you can safely rename it to it's original name.

    This all works for sounds, languages and other hidden things.

    posted a message on I can only edit a certain block in my server 3D rescource pack?

    Go into your .mincraft folder, go to versions, go into the version of your resource pack, open the <version>.jar as a zip/winrar file, copy assets into your versions folder next to <version>.jar.

    That's what you should look into instead of novaskin.

    Make sure to never delete or add something to it, only copying so you don't need to recopy the original folder from the jar file again.

    posted a message on Multitexturing in 1.13?

    It's possible since 1.8, it uses the damage value of the item, which got moved to the display tag in 1.13, and the damaged (unbreakable) tag.

    Example code:

    {   "overrides":[
            {    "predicate":{"damage":<decimal between 1 & 0(fe 69=0.17922077 on the bow)>,"damaged":0},
                 "model":"<path to another model starting with assets/minecraft/models/>"
            },
            { "predicate":{"damage":<Be sure to use the lowest decimal up and the highest down, else models wont be used. damage 70=0.18181818>,"damaged":0},
                 "model":"item/extrabows/valentine"
            }
        ]
    }

    In 1.14, the CustomModelData tag is added, instead of "damage" and "damaged", the predicates will hold "custom_model_data" with the value matching.

    To summon the 1.8-1.12 bow: /give @p minecraft:bow 1 69 {Unbreakable:1b}

    To summon the 1.13 bow: /give @s minecraft:bow{Damage:69,Unbreakable:1b} 1

    To summon the 1.14 bow: /give @s minecraft:bow{CustomModelData:69} 1

    To get the decimal of each damage value of an item: 1 / (0 is also a use, so +1 to each item's max uses) * (desired value)

    Just copy each particle out and assign it a name, just like it does in the 1.14 snapshot assets.

    posted a message on Old Cloth Block Names?

    When you do F3+H in 1.12, you can see the metadata of blocks.

    Cloth was the old name of wool, the number behind cloth is the same as in the metadata, so cloth_14 is red_wool.
