    You can turn off the uncrafting recipes. There is a configuration introduced in version 2.7.1 of the mod. I recommend using version 2.7.2 of the mod (the latest).

    This mod doesn't add uncrafting table.

    Once you set it to false, restart Minecraft.

    I'm having some problems.

    When I die and respawn, my hearts went back to 10 and levelling up didn't give me the hearts back. The hardcore setting is set to false and when I press H to bring up stats, it shows hearts from heart container being -3 and hearts from RPG being 3. My hearts went back to 10. I did turn off heart containers and have RPG set to true.

    I did have /gamerule keepInventory set to true.

    I've released mod version 2.7.2.

    I've fixed some things and I've added 1 new block: Netherwood Crafting Table.

    I've fixed the missing Wither bone armour textures. There are also plenty of changes. Enjoy! :D

    The only way to get it is from a silly recipe involving a bed and a stone to craft a bedrock. Get it? 'Bed' and 'Rock'.

    It's disabled by default, but you can enable 'Silly Recipes' from configuration. The reason it's off by default is that it's silly and wouldn't make sense.

    Bedrock tools are intended for use by server ops and creative users. I've only added it for the variety.

    Also, to make myself clear, there will NEVER be 1.7.2 version.

    By the way, this is my 1337th post!

    I've read your feedback and listened. Version 2.7.1 (not 2.7_1) will contain configuration file and also, bug fixes for netherwood leaves not dropping saplings. Also, the saplings and apples drop rate will be affected by Fortune.

    Did you know that the Netherwood leaves dropping apples was originally a bug but I've decided to kept it and turned it into feature. Besides, it looks cool.

    The netherwood sapling code extends BlockBush and uses similar code.

    There will be a new configuration file. There will be 6 variables.

    hardcoreRecipes: Changes some recipes to make it challenging. (Disables recipes that contains rotten flesh as alternative to leather, doesn't disable armor recipe. Also, increases strings needed to craft a cobweb from 5 to 9.)
    sillyRecipes: Enables silly recipes such as crafting bedrock using a bed and a stone. Disabled by default because it's silly.
    salvageRecipes: Enables recipes that let you dismantle objects like doors, chests, and fences back into resources. Enabled by default.
    overrideMobDrops: Override mob drops for spiders, squids, and sheep. Enabled by default.
    endermanBlockDrops: Makes Endermen drop carried blocks on death. Enabled by default.
    mobHeadDrops: Makes mob heads rarely drop from skeletons, creepers, and zombies. Chance is 2.5% plus 0.5% per Looting. Enabled by default.

    Also, the mod already includes ore dictionary in the source code.

    I'd gladly appreciate it if you can find a fix for fences not connecting to nether brick fence gates and the netherwood chest when held still uses default chest textures. The source code for the mod is actually available on GitHub. I couldn't find a way to fix these bugs.

    And for BetterFoliage, I'll see what I can do.

    I've finally updated my mod at last!

    Bedrock tools and armor have been added, it's intended for server ops or if you want to test some things out. It has 96% defense.

    Malisis Doors support have been added. The mod is optional but if installed, doors will animate. Use caution as installing the mod might mess up your saves.

    Obsidian bricks are something I might be adding. Given the fact that the mod adds bedrock bricks for fancy indestructible blocks, I might add obsidian bricks too.

    At the moment, I have no current plans for sapphires as the mod makes more use of vanilla items and I intend the mod to expand greatly on vanilla stuff.

    Netherwood sapling crafting is something I have been thinking but that will only create some inconsistencies as vanilla saplings cannot be crafted, only harvested.

    Can you make a 1.7.2 version?

    Unfortunately, I have no plans for 1.7.2 version. The flipped textures irritate me. That's the reason. I don't want to do the workarounds, too much effort.

    Can you make the doors in this mod compatible with MalisisDoors? And I'll use it in my modpack, maybe.

    I'll see what I can do.

    While the mods themselves can run alongside each other, the door added by my mod does not currently animate.

    I might try to add some sort of compatibility. It might take effort.

    I have some plans when Minecraft Forge does get updated for 1.8.1. Guardian meat and scales will be the new items.

    Just to let you know that the mod thread is undergoing reconstruction to be cleaner and more up-to-date. Some things got outdated. I've decided to rename the mod to MoreCraft since it focuses on adding more Minecraft-friendly stuff.

    And if you want to add the mod to modpack, go ahead!

    I've found a couple of bugs and I will hopefully fix it in v2.7. I'll figure out how to fix the nether brick fence gate so fences properly connect to it.

    Great news! The mod is finally updated to 1.7.10!

    Keep in mind, this is new and the mod may or may not work. Lots of code has changed and it took me several days. Combined with procrastination, despite 1.7 to 1.8 being the longest so far, the mod didn't get updated to 1.7. Until now. I skipped 1.7.2 as it's buggy.

    Enjoy the new mod update!
    Quote from Xbony2»I think the netherwood chest's texture is off, if you compare it to the normal chest's texture...

    Can you please explain how it's off? It matches Netherwood planks texture.

    BetterCraft mod has been updated to version 2.6.1.

    I've managed to fix the crash in SMP if Ender Dragon is killed. Tested in SMP test server and good to go!
    I've changed the recipe for wither bone as well, using coals instead of obsidian.

    Quote from Akitori

    can you give the mod a config option please?

    I might add that eventually, but not now.

    Quote from Xbony2

    Btw, I think the wither-bone recipe should use coal instead of obsidian, since wither skellys drop coal.

    Quote from Xbony2

    The ore dictionary can be kinda tricky at times, especially since there's no official format, but here's what I recommend for registering your blocks and items as.
    Block of Rotten Flesh -> blockFlesh
    Block of Gunpowder -> blockGunpowder
    ...etc for other blocks.

    Netherwood log -> logNetherwood
    Netherwood plant -> plankNetherwood
    Ender Bricks -> brickEndstone
    Ruby Ore -> oreRuby
    Ruby -> gemRuby

    Anyway, you probably get the idea now, so good luck :P

    Recipe has been changed to use coal instead of obsidian.

    I've made some internal changes to the mod to prepare the mod to utilize ore dictionary. So far, I got most of the blocks and resource items defined, including ruby ore, blocks and gem. However, tools and armour aren't. Keep in mind that the storage blocks are made using vanilla materials, since this mod expands upon vanilla content. The blocks themselves aren't vanilla.

    I might even consider adding new bed that is made using bones in place of wood planks and optionally, rotten flesh in place of wool. If I want to, I might even add configuration for hardcore recipe that changes the recipe to use block of bones to make it harder. I can't guarantee the bed.

    Exactly how much damage does obsidian armor absorb?

    In the code, full set of obsidian armor gives 22 armor points, for 88% defense. However, I don't know if defense points above 20 get counted.
    Quote from Xbony2

    Have you used the ore dictionary for stuff like rubies yet? The ore dictionary is very important if you want the mod to be compatible with other mods that use rubies, like ic2 or project red.

    Btw, I think the wither-bone recipe should use coal instead of obsidian, since wither skellys drop coal.

    I've never heard of ore dictionary but I did some research. I might plan to use it somewhere in version 2.7 of BetterCraft.

    Good idea. I will replace it with coals in version 2.7.

    For now, I want to focus on fixing things. I found a bug that if Ender Dragon is killed, it crashed the server and didn't drop the armour. I am also looking into fixing the orientation of Netherwood chest held in inventory, it's facing the other way that normal and ender chests usually face.

    If all things go well, I might start experimental version for Forge for Minecraft 1.7 or later. I prefer to use 1.7.5/1.7.6 though as the flipped textures bug in 1.7.2 irritates me.

    I have released a new update! Version 2.6 of BetterCraft mod.

    I've tweaked the mob drops and I've changed the recipe of iron trapdoors! It now uses 4 iron ingots.

    Lambchop dropped from sheep is now affected by Looting and also if they're killed while on fire, they drop cooked lamb chops!
    I've changed plenty of pictures so you now get the idea of what's inside! There are many more!

    Plus, Netherwood chests now have distinct purple textures although it faces the wrong way in inventory. I'm looking into making it face the right way, like chests and ender chests.

    I'm still holding off on 1.7 and I'm still waiting for Forge to use 1.7.4, or 1.7.5. I prefer 1.7.6 once it comes out. I can't upgrade BetterCraft to use 1.7.2 due to the flipped textures bug that's irritating me so much. So yeah, it's pretty much remaining on 1.6.4 until Forge gets updated.

    Also, if you have any modpacks for Minecraft 1.6.4, I would gladly be appreciated if you add my BetterCraft mod to your modpack!

    P.S: Goodbye 1337 posts and 'IRC HACKER' title. :(

    posted a message on More Skin Customization (Wings, Horns, Ears, Tails)
    Quote from Puredarkness

    No thanks, we already have all the customisation (And yes, spell checker, it IS spelt with an s -_- ) we need. We already spent forever waiting for this last change, anyways. I also really don't think humans (or super humans in steve's case) with wings fit. Plus, think of the people who would add tails that look like, ahem, rude parts, just because their friends dared them to. We already have nude skins, and they aren't half pleasant.

    I'm not one to say no support for things like this, but I just don't think we need another skin overhaul so soon after a no doubt complicated rendering rewrite.

    You know, not all skins are human. My skin is an anthropomorphic cat. Yes, it's a furry skin.

    To possibly prevent inappropriate tails, the parts are preset only. You choose a tail and then there are colour choices.

    Possibly put horns, ears, wings, tail into a different PNG file? Since the skins are already refactored for secondary layer of arms and legs, called shirts and pants.

    And if there's inappropriate use of them, server admins can detect that and kick/ban the player.

    I did a bit of revision, according to the feedback.

    For level 1 death penalty, you keep items in hotbar but the other items have chance to be dropped on death.

    I also clarified some of the things.
