Once again, it's been a long time! Over a year in fact.
Anyways, I got the mod ported over to 1.14.4 so that means you'll be able to play with content that was added in 1.13 and 1.14! Yes, I skipped 1.13 but I didn't see a reason to make a mod for 1.13. The latest version is 4.0a2 and it's in alpha so there may be bugs and missing features.
Here are the new key additions and changes:
Netherwood Signs, Trapdoors, Buttons, and Pressure Plates
Glowstone Torches can be placed underwater and they're waterproof! This integrates the waterlogging feature. Great for oceans and underwater caves!
Horse armour! There are currently four materials: Bone, Obsidian, Ruby, and Emerald.
Some texture changes! More blocks and items will eventually get new textures.
Major code rewrite.
The change log can be found in CurseForge. I might need to update my change log in the document file.
If things go well, I can get the mod moved over to 1.15.2 (so you can play with bees)! For now, my focus is on making the mod stable.
And should Minecraft 1.16 ever come out, I'll keep the Netherwood trees because they're a major part of the mod plus Netherwood is purple, more colours are nice!
It's been a LONG time but after 1 year, the mod is now available on Minecraft 1.12.2!
It's mostly the same from 1.11.2 but the mod now integrates the new Advancement system and takes advantage of the new recipe book functionality.
Without further ado, the download is now available and it's in beta stage due to the known issues. The mod also brought in languages and there are now different languages! There are five languages currently supported: English, French, Spanish, German, and Russian.
I'm pleased to announce that MoreCraft is now available for Minecraft 1.11.2!
The good part is that the mod update also improves compatibility with Quark mod. If you have Quark mod installed, that particular mod will take over the stairs and slabs recipes that were included in MoreCraft.
Another cool thing included with 3.1 update is that Trapped Netherwood Chest has been added. You craft it with Netherwood Chest and Tripwire Hook, the same way you would normally craft a trapped chest. Even better, you can also craft Elytra and Totem of Undying.
It's been a long time but here it is! MoreCraft is now available for Minecraft 1.9.4!
You'll also find some changes you might like. For instance, Notch Apple is now craftable again, since the recipe was removed from vanilla Minecraft. There's the new Netherwood boat that can take you across both water and lava! Craft it with Netherwood Planks in the same way you normally craft boats.
There's a new item: Nether Apple! It can occasionally be obtained from breaking Netherwood leaves. This replaces the regular apple drops. Eating the apple refills the same amount of hunger but confers random effects that last a short time. There are 12 possible effects, each have equal chance of 5%. Only one effect can be gained per apple so eat multiple and take a wild guess! The other 40% chance, nothing happens aside from hunger refill.
I've also got some bad news. Enderdragon Scale armour is now nerfed to no longer have infinite durability. I've made the change because you can respawn the Ender Dragon in 1.9.
The guide will eventually be updated.
EDIT: Wow! Two versions in one day. Turns out that updating the mod from 1.9.4 to 1.10.2 is a breeze.
I've gotten so busy with other projects but fortunately, I've pushed out version 2.7.6 for Minecraft 1.7.10 and version 2.8.1 for Minecraft 1.8.9. Many of the bugs should be fixed. The only thing I couldn't fix unfortunately is the ability to place Netherwood saplings thanks to the fact that which plants can be put into the flower pot is hardcoded.
Anyways, onwards to 1.9.4 and beyond! Perhaps I'll add dragon scales and nerf the drops since Enderdragon can be respawned in 1.9 and forth.
MoreCraft is now updated for Minecraft 1.8.9! That means some of the newer stuff are now integrated and some of the blocks and items are removed from the mod because vanilla Minecraft has them.
It's been a long journey and there are still some bugs left. I'll update the source code on GitHub and then if you want to help me with fixing some bugs, go ahead. I would like those bugs/issues fixed and I would gladly appreciate it if those could be done, hopefully by version 2.8.1 of the mod. Only by fixing most of the issues below can then I start the port to 1.9.4 and finally 1.10.2.
Netherwood and Ender Brick Slabs not turning into full blocks unlike the vanilla slabs.
Netherwood Chest is invisible in inventory.
Netherwood Saplings cannot be planted into plant pots.
Enderdragon Scale Armour doesn't render on armour stands and mobs.
Slime Armour had self-repair disabled and I'm still looking to fix it.
Unfortunately, mod 1.10.2 isn't going to come for quite a while.
Updating from 1.7.10 to 1.8.9 is quite a chore. I'd have to go through over 100 items and a lot of blocks and I'll have to update the code. It's why I can't update to 1.9.4 yet.
But when it comes, I'll try to integrate more of the newer stuff in 1.8 and beyond in the mod.
I've retraced and ah yes, found the issue with the doors.
I intend the mod to make use of MalisisDoors and such mod would be optional but apparently, I need to resolve the issues. Maybe one more patch, would be 2.7.4. I can't rename BetterCraft to MoreCraft as it would render saves incompatible. However, I'll rename it in 1.8.9.
As for weird symbol, it has something to do with using different Forge version.
Then after that, I'll work on bringing the mod over to 1.8.9 and possibly 1.9.4. It's long overdue and I want to do it.
I'm pleased to announce that version 2.7.3 of MoreCraft has been released! This is most likely the final patch for Minecraft 1.7.10 as I want to eventually move on to building the mod in Minecraft 1.8.8.
Unfortunately, I've been unable to fix the incorrect Netherwood chest texture when held in inventory. I can't also get the Netherwood saplings to be plantable in flower pots. This might be resolved in 1.8.8.
Fortunately, I've managed to tweak some things and I did add bone ladders, bone doors, and glowstone torches!
Apologies about the lack of updates. I had been so busy lately.
1.8 will eventually come if I could figure out how to port the code properly. Seeing as Forge for 1.8.8 finally came out, I'll try my best. But I'll probably make one more patch for the mod for 1.7.10 before I can work on 1.8.8 version of the mod.
Due to the massive code changes, it can take weeks.
Do you think you can add config to remove invincibility from SCP-173? Or at least, completely remove invincibility from SCP-173; he has 9001 health but I can't damage him.
I need help killing him. Not even TNT can damage him. Not even lava. I've tried splashing him with wither potion but he won't take damage. It's like as if he has 25 armor.
I've tried the following...
Enchanting my sword to Sharpness 127.
Buffing myself with Strength 255.
Is it a bug? I can't damage SCP-173 no matter what.
When it comes to ID conflict, Minecraft 1.7.10 resolves the problem by not using number IDs.
Unfortunately, if I add a recipe to turn a wool into 4 strings, it would make it too easy to make spider-silk armour or even more cobwebs, which wouldn't make sense.
And go ahead, you can make improved versions of textures. I'm looking into improved cake slice and apple pie textures too. (It should fit Minecraft theme.)
As far as I've known, every block and item have 16x16 textures.
Make sure you have version 2.7.2 of the mod for Minecraft 1.7.10. The name of the configuration file is bettercraft.cfg. On mods, it will still show as 2.7 but on version it will show Version: 2.7 (2.7.2). If it matches then you have the latest version.

I'm pleased to announce that MoreCraft is now on 1.16.4!
I took the time to integrate some additional stuff and there are some new content added!
You can expect to see the following additions to the mod since the last post:
And oh, I took the time to give the CurseForge page a bit of refresh to make it look better!

I'm revamping the first post to be cleaner. Many of the data will be moved to the Guide.
Updating the mod from 1.7.10 to 1.8 will take a long time and it's difficult as a lot of internal code has changed.
I'm afraid there's no config file for 1.6.4. Sorry! I've lost the source code for 1.6.4 so I can't make a patch. I recommend using 1.7.10.
