So what should I do about it not working when it does claim to patch? I don't want to risk deleting the bin again (Or is there no risk?)
I definitely have no conflicting mods (I don't have anything besides texture packs)
EDIT: Now Minecraft won't start at all. I'm inclined to believe this mod had something to do with it. How should I start from scratch again? I do have backups.
Also, I'm paranoid of spiders in day time, even when I know they are perfectly docile, that spitting sound never ceases to make me jump out of my seat, even if I'm staring right at them. I always wind up forced to kill them for my sanity's sake.
I thought if you surrounded a spawner with torches it stops working?
It doesnt stop working, only the torches prevent it from spawning due to the light, but if there is a spot thats enough dark the spawner will continue to spawn mobs.
Hm, interesting, still funny that a zombie spawned in that exact same spot twice in a row right where I was, while I was trying to put a torch there. It even waited for me to stand there to spawn
I'm paranoid of glitches that cause weird spawners to appear where they shouldn't be, and for a reason:
One day I just started a new world, I set up my encampment for the first night, there was a very nice natural cave to stay in, well I've dealt with a couple day ones in the past, so no big deal, anyhow. Well, on day two I need to mine some iron and iron and get extra coal, luckily, there's a natural cavern right next to my little home! I go in, and wouldn't you know it IMMEDIATELY after entering, there's a zombies spawner, and like twenty zombies, constantly being increased. Well I fight my way valiantly through them, and surround said spawner with torches, phew. After looting the two chests inside the dungeon, I exit, and there's some iron right outside of the dungeon! I mine it, and then OMGWTFTHERE'S A ZOMBIE RIGHT ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THAT BLOCK...I die.
So right, I'm thinking, that was freaking scary, must've dug into another cavern which had a zombie right on the other side of that iron, good thing is my stuff probably will still be there by the time I arrive. So I arrive, grab my stuff, and check that hole, except there isn't a hole, just an indentation in the wall where I dug, weird, I guess a zombie must have spawned RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. Well anyway, not reaaaaalllllyyyyy a big deal, better put a torch there so it won't happen again WTFANOTHERZOMBIESWHYINGODSNAMEITSLIKETHERESASPAWNERTHERE...and I died again -.-
Next time I returned to that cave, I switched to peaceful and covered that damn indentation. And I always change to peaceful when going through that area.
And that is why I hate zombies and weird spawnish locations.
Just wanted to voice my support, FlackCraft was awesome and I'm glad to see someone is able to keep it going, I was thinking I would have to switch to another texture pack though due to the lack of nether and mob textures.
This is the texture pack I use (Mostly, I use painterly if I want something realistic, but I don't care for realism that much in my minecraft.) and my favorite one, personally.
Of course, the main character is Little Mr. Creeper.
So I was hiding inside one of the treasure houses for the night, not wanting to deal with monsters while adventuring, when I check on my window, and see this:
Ick! Well I wait until morning, then kill the monster, then a group of skeletons that for some reason didn't get burnt up ambush me, though I manage to fight them off. I'm gloating about my victory, when suddenly I hear a "Ssssssssss" and I get sploded...
I'm not too upset though because I guess I got back fast enough to get my stuff, yay! Here's the damage from Mr. Creeper.
It feels like the world is so holy I can barely get myself to destroy any blocks XD
EDIT: OH FOR ****S SAKE
I totally underestimated the way gravel falls when you put a block by it.
I think people who've had their saves since before secret friday update 9 will not find clay easily.
Make a new world and it should be easier to find.
I shall try this, though if I do get more clay it won't be worth losing all my progress for, if anything I'll just cheat some clay into my inventory if I really want the stuff.
Ugh, but I have to re-download packages every time I start the game for some reason, and it's only going 0.05 kbps
Well, we'll see what happens. Eventually.
EDIT: Okay, well it's SLIGHTLY better, there's 388 blocks of clay and 1551 blocks of diamond.
That's like, 20% as much rather than 10%
Honestly I think it would make sense if there were AT LEAST an equal amount of clay as diamond.
Okay, I got cartographer working.
There are 464 blocks of clay in my world, this is almost entirely a beach world by the way. To put this in perspective, there are also:
4334 blocks of diamond
1446 blocks of ****ING OBSIDIAN!!!!

I guess that the spawn points have passwords you can enter somewhere to change your spawn location...
I got the thing to work, but I totally failed, and fell into the void with all the starting equipment...so I'm recopying the save so I can start fresh
Anyways, yeah, it IS amazing, I wish I could make something this awesome, but my attention span is too shor-oooohhhh shiny!

I am also very curious as to the answer to this question.
Looks amazing, I am having trouble getting minecraft started to try it though -.-
