What do you expect this server will be like: Based on how the admin plays a second account without admin power, I can see this server doing well. What other server have you played on and why did you leave them: Random servers for a couple of hours with friends, never intended to stay. No? Neither did I. That is why I started THE GRID! The Grid is a brand new server, for people who just want to build(and survive) and have fun.
FEATURES: We are currently running a plain jane vanilla server. This is mainly due to the hMod situation, so expect future additions, though nothing crazy. UPDATE: We are now running Bukkit, and various plugins for it. No serious modifications, just homes and warps for now.
15 player cap, for now. If we get popular, or if we get donations, I will upgrade the server, and extend the player cap.
Cool admins! I know my admins personally, so I can vouch for the quality of their service to you.
RULES:
Don't grief. This is obvious, but it has to be said. Please, just don't do it.
Don't be a huge jerk to other people. Good natured ribbing is fine, but don't go around being the scum of the earth.
Don't steal from other players. If you find a chest in the open, please do not take it's contents. People should be smart enough to hide thier chests though, so this is a minor rule.
Giant Squid of Anger
-Found: Small Islands in the ocean
- Behavior: Tentacles can be seen around the island, the head occasionally poking out of the water. Will not attack unless provoked
- Health: 8 Tentacles, Zombie health for each, Giant head had zombie health x 3
- Attacks: Tentacle smack, tentacle drag, bite
- Preferred Weapon: Sword, Bow and Arrow
- Loot: Drips key to chest on the island, containing an underwater breathing apparatus, has small chance of droppin a Giant Ink Sack (makes a full stack of dye when combined with any other dyes).
Also creates troll comments and unnecessary corrections on Nerdfighters videos.

No... i would never even want notch to think about wasting time making either... Notch added sandstone for one particular reason : spider protection
its so you can build your house with a similar wall desing to this

the sandstone is placed there so spiders cant get in... its neat that way already... why would you even think of wasting time wiilst building a fortress to make stupid sandstone houses that take ages to dig all the sand for when you could be off mining tons of cobblestone for building your fortress
