    posted a message on 1.12.2 mod that spawned a city with guard towers.....anyone remember the name? Not a map, but a mod. Anyone?

    It has several barracks, houses, a general store, guard towers, ect and i "thought" it was full of rogues / pirates.


    This mod makes many of these cities / towns.


    I think it also spawned random ships on the water as well, with just regular NPCs on the ships.


    Anyone?

    I had been adding in a bunch of mods for 1.15.2 and the green bands (above the food/health bar) just appeared. Can anyone identify it and what mod produces it? I'm just lost to which mod created it.

    It's a good mod with good ideas but the balance of the creatures is off. Regular elves were shooting at me and that's a little off the lore.


    Also, wouldn't it be better to "command" adventurers and have them follow, patrol, attack, ect for you? Throw the flexibility control of Minecraft Comes Alive into the adventurers and you can have a party to run with you. Allow us to "rename" them even to make it personal.


    As it is, starting the game with some dark elves in front of you and some adventurers behind you (and you in the middle) seems like a not well thought out street fight where two gangs just go at it. I mean, after this initial clash (that i end up in MANY times) i don't see a lot of adventurers or other races, they seem to somewhat fizzle out. Sure, it could be because of another mod too i guess.


    It also might be a good idea to mix it up with more types of mages with different size/shape dwellings.

    I had it the other day and then removed it and i am wishing i didn't.



    It showed the following (in a box style)

    Mob

    Sleeping/Awake

    Health

    Food it ate (i assume for taming)


    I am also using 1.12.2 Forge.


    Better HUD has "some" of these elements but not all...


    I checked the following HUDs:

    Ignite

    RPG Hud

    and both of the "here's what we are looking at" mods


    I think this is part of another mod but can't say for sure.

    from the looks of it you need to remove anything that has to do with transformers.


    When all else fails, pull all your mods and add them back a few at a time...It seems my "ambience" mod mystically got corrupted....How? My system is only accessed by me and i don't use it to surf the web. For all intents and purposes, it's a closed system.

    That's a shame, i thought that mod was a really cool "starter" mod. I really wish there were more "prep" mods that would just spawn in with you with some stuff to get started with ...

    The mod, i believe, began with a crystal ball and it asked question about things and then you got this "woosh" teleport, psychotropic drug-trip screen for a couple of seconds and you ended up in the COOLEST pre-made houses. I would LOVE for someone to remind me of that mod and then i would be great to know it made it to 1.10.2....


    Anyone?


    I was out of minecraft, for a couple of years, and in the xbox scene and came back and all my mods and files were gone on my PC.

    posted a message on What is, hands down, the best server launcher/manager for Minecraft when using Forge?

    I've been using McMyAdmin 2x which, for the most part, does what i need it to do but really getting into my needs has involved me "hacking" the config files of it and i really don't want to have to do that due to the instability it can create.


    I've read there is a 3.x version and i went to the site but it seemed.....overwhelmingly not focused on people and the web site seemed more business than i cared for.


    McMyAdmin doesn't handle (without hacking) memory size above 1gb, it doesn't really handle mods at all, it's console is bloated and doesn't clean it's self up very well, and the server configuration leaves a ton of things just blank (like world-size, ect) that i would rather have control over. Also, it's glitchy and, from time to time, just vomits and crashes with no real explanation why. Plus the "plugins" part of the 2.x version i'm using is just busted and it doesn't handle all the versions very well. For instance, i use Forge and it's supposed to be able to install it but i ended up having to physically put my own 1.10.2 version in.


    I would love to sit down and collaborate with someone on building a server manager that uses colors like green (stable), yellow (some errors), red (crash immanent) on the console area with perhaps a counter or something that focuses in on errors as to "why" it crashed and a manager that is "loyal" to older versions of minecraft and not just the trending stuff.


    I mean, i have NO problem paying for a really powerful server handling software. I've got an i7 machine with 16GB of ram and space to do it with so it's not an issue and i do NOT want to become a "cloud" person because, when they crash (and i've seen it happen more than i care to) you're at their mercy or if they suddenly go under, you've lost a LOT of work. I play a LOT of games and host my own servers and i'm pretty involved in early access software and discussion on Steam, the "trailer park" that's it's become over the years (sigh) and there's more ego there than actual knowledge. I've had better luck here so i came to ask.


    My philosophy is, "keep it local" with servers.





    I would appreciate any help i could get with the server software. I don't want to go "batch file", however, simply because i've been there and it gets tedious going back and forth with the constant looking up of values and editing. I need something more direct.
