Personally I would like them to add things that have been on the cards since months ago like minecart booster blocks, floodgates, trap doors, gates for fences etc etc. Adding new features to the old features to make them work more smoothly. So I guess that's a balance of both really, there should be a poll option for that. Also the nether needs finishing, and I miss snowfall!

This is mostly cos I think pet dogs are a gimmicky pile of crap to shut us up while they make a better update but I can't comment on that til they're out. Maybe you'll be able to use your dog as a gate for your fence or a minecart booster.... fingers crossed :biggrin.gif:

You realize Notch promised another famous computer game programmer he would add dogs, so Notch has to.

Good question. I say Polishing it. Look at the Nether, there are three block types in it, and two mobs in it. Only one of those mobs will ever attack you whenever they see you. The other only attacks you when you attack them. There needs to be more reason to travel to the Nether, otherwise less people go, so the point of that 'big' update was for nothing. In SMP you can't even use the Nether. Notch was working on the Nether for atleast 20 days, atleast have a SMP server for the team to do SMP testing, I get that it will lag client-side like crazy because of it generating multiple worlds, but atleast have a feature that allows the Nether. Lets look at beds in SMP, they don't even work when everyone is sleeping, so does it actually have a use in SMP other than design? No, probably not, because Notch stated that beds will work as your new spawn point AFTER you sleep in them. And in Single Player they won't work for the spawn point over half of the day/night cycle. Because what if you die during the day? It will error out saying 'You can only sleep at night' so it uses your old spawn point. And if you die at night it will also start the day over. I get the beds as spawn points aren't out yet, but those are obvious errors in Notch's plan. Let's also look at ladders. I doubt anyone has a meter long hand span without titling their body, so why can we skip a meter for ladder space?I also higly doubt we are all long jumpers who can jump two meters like this:
    :Notch: :grass: :grass: :Pig:
Pig represents where you land. See what I am getting at, a lot of features, more then I mentioned here, need fixing. So release the update your already working on Notch's team, then fix features.

I will get one of each type of dog, there are currently two types. I will tame them, give them each a floor in my mansion with bone dispensers, and whenever they want a bone, they can take one! Whenever I go exploring for a new home, I shall defiantly bring them with me.

I ain't turning on peacful, or using anything that edits the game. This is my main world, and last time I moved my character 1 block with MCEdit, I deleted the world, even though it was my main world.

Honestly, dieing wouldn't be much of a problem, as stone tools are nothing to be proud of really.

I have iron tools on me, and my only bucket. Plus all my torches. So it will be a problem".

I need help on what to do in this situation:
    :SSSS: :Notch: :Lava:

I am standing on a 1 block pathway, right next to. The creeper is 1 block above me and in countdown mode. What would you do in this situation? I have 8 hearts left, so advice please.

    Inventory:
1 stone pick (almost gone) 1 stone sword 1 stone axe 2 dirt 1 cobble 1 iron pick 1 bucket and 5 torches.

I have no other torches in any of my other bases, or coal. I also have no more materials to make more iron tools. ):

You should really do more research beforehand. Calling redstone reddust doesn't give us the idea that you are an expert in it.

People can call anything what they want to. This particular person calls it Red Dust. Just because the majority of people call it Redstone, doesn't make this person a non expert in it.

    Isn't it called redstone?

Yes, it is, but does that really matter?

I get 11 FPS and it seems exactly the same compared to my computer that gets 100 FPS on Minecraft. I don't get why people complain.

Nothing is a requirement to play/do anything. It just makes the game better for some people. You appreciate Minecraft for the fighting aspect, others appreciate it for the building aspect.

Apparently origin has the highest mob spawning percentage of any chunk

Actually nothing near your spawn point can spawn mobs...you couldn't have picked a worse spot.

True, but your spawn point is not necessarily chunk 0,0.

If you don't use a seed, its 0.5,0.5

That is mountain-is and the oceans of either sand or dirt. Please can someone help me look for one? Not floating mountains, regular mountains with cool overhangs. If you find one post it here or message me, I will be looking to. Not the Jimmymehboi one, that doesn't look very good.

Why should I get picked to test: I'd actively help test and contribute.
If I become an alpha tester, I can contribute by: Suggesting additions or modifications to the story, certain areas of the map, and other general small improvements. I can also help with any redstone, building or level creation needed. I have designed and created several maps for various other games that have all been well received.
A suggestion for the name is: I'd have to wait until I knew the story better.
If I become an alpha or beta tester, do I want to go on the credits list: Not overly bothered, but it'd be nice I guess.
If yes above, choose either On thread, in game, or both: Don't mind.

Accepted to be an alpha tester, pming IP now for building map

    Fill out this form: Okay.
Why should I get picked to test: I've tested in numerous videogames before, and clearly anticipate that it isn't "getting to play the game early", but looking for gamebreaking bugs or unbalanced features. I'll be sure to inspect every corner and not rush through the game, taking the time to check for easter eggs, bugs and other things.
If I become an alpha tester, I can contribute by: I have Vegas 9 + full fraps, so I could make a trailer, but that's rather minor. I was a lead puzzle designer for EC3 and applicant to Heroblock City as a level designer/editor, as I've designed many maps & packages for games like TF2, L4D, and other things (linear/non-linear routes, multiple ways to get through Point A/B/C, primary ways to tell a story through props and scenery, etc)
A suggestion for the name is: Hydraulician
A suggestion for the game is: A scene where the player finds an underground train route, enters a cart, and presses a button, for the rails lead to the next "stage" of the game. The boss battle takes place in here. As soon as they press the "LAUNCH" button, not only does it launch the player's cart along the track, but it also launches dozens of carts filled with skeletons on a separate track above the player, not currently visible to the player. Shortly, they drop down in teams of 2-4 to the left, right, in front and behind of the player (as the top rail drops down onto the bottom rail, where the player is), resulting in a mass shoot-out, with the skeletons shooting at the player, and the player's cart unexpectedly weaving behind walls, onto other rails, and even through an ore-filled cavern system. The chase ends with all of the skeletons going down onto the bottom rails all at once, completely boxing the player in. Before they're able to kill him, every rail except the one the player is on plunges into a lava pit. The player's cart falls safely onto a platform.
If I become an alpha or beta tester, do I want to go on the credits list: Sure.
If yes above, choose either On thread, in game, or both: Both would be nice, but it doesn't really matter.

Alpha tester, messaging you server IP where we are working on this now.
