Well, the massive egg release is over... It was fun while it lasted though~. I managed to snag 5 out of the 7 new ones, I'm missing the Copper eggs and the Black Capped Teimarr eggs still...
Out of all the new dragons that have been released, I have grabbed each one, except the new one from the coast biome (I believe they are called Black Capped Teimar). Anyone have one of those eggs? I'm willing to trade one of the new eggs from the desert biome. EDIT: Traded away already.
For those of you who haven't seen this in the DC forums, today is Day 1 of the MASSIVE release of new eggs! The new eggs appear on the coast. Remember, these eggs will stay forever, so you will have plenty of time to grab one! But you might wanna hurry up, because they will only drop en masse for a certain amount of time!
Try to steal a Pink Dragon egg. Pink Dragons can influence other eggs to be the same gender the dragon is. However, it gets really annoying when all your Pink Dragons turn out to be the same gender... -.-; If you can't get one, you just really need a lot of luck and patience. Don't worry, I'm sure you'll get one in time.
Also, anyone want an egg from my CB Silver and CB Ice? (I need to check if they are willing to breed with eachother, if they do produce an egg, just abandoning it because I don't want it seems like a waste.)

Why are the volcano eggs so common? When I get a glance at the volcano biome, they're always there.
Every time new eggs are released, they are usually released in massive quantities for the next few days following the release. The frequency will even out after that.
Also... there's two new eggs! One is available in the volcano, the other is breed specific. Also one has BSA and the other doesn't, apparently. The breed-specific one shares its description with silver dragons.

Also any chance this lineage will produce me an alt? It's also related to midas dorkface and shallynaar. I'm too lazy to check through it, it's so huge.
Receiving an Alt Black Dragon is completely up to chance, so there's no real way of telling how likely you are to get one. There is a theory that if you breed a Black Dragon with a rare breed (such as a Silver), the offspring is more likely to be an Alt, but this hasn't been proven yet.
Oh, and thanks for the offer, but I don't need to trade for a male Striped Dragon~. I caught one egg in the cave and influenced it, so there's no need. If the hatchie derps and turns female, you can have it.
But yeah, the Festival of eggs is just a little game for you to play~. You get the Easter Basket badge on your scroll and others can see all the eggs you have collected~.
Hm... Anyone else find it strange that the AP isn't blocking the main caves? O.o There are loads of eggs on the AP, but the main caves are still accessible. :/

I just think notch should explain why he thought the way he did and what his information was based off of. His tweets don't match up with the Yogscast's mature response, so explaining the way he way thinking back then should help with clarification issues.
I'm glad the Yogscast managed to clear up the issues by making a mature response. I hope their response clears up things for everyone, Yognau(gh)t or not. I really hope tensions will stop rising now. :smile.gif:

No, they've been on the cave for a while and they do have a page on the wiki here.
