Yes. A thousand times yes. My kingdom for a cursor yes. I love modded Minecraft and most of my favorite mods have moved to 1.7.10.

Sorry for the delay! The update you're looking for is linked via Dropbox in Post #2 above.

Download from the official site: http://minecraft.net/download

Once the dmg file is on your machine just double-click it and follow any instructions. After installing you can find launch / find the game in your Mac's launchpad.

Are you connecting to your server from inside or outside your network? If outside, you'll need your external ip and you'll need to setup port forwarding (the latter assuming your server is sitting behind a router). If inside, then you need to specify the ip address of the server. If your client machine and server machine are one and the same then "localhost" will work.

You don't need to put ip address in your server.properties file.

If you need help with port forwarding there are plenty of guides on online if you google for it.

Looks great, m8, but how can I change the cursor to a default Windows cursor?

By "default Windows cursor" do you mean the usual white arrow with the small gray shadow? If so then the answer is no I don't know how to draw that. I'm pretty sure you could do it by (e.g.) drawing a little box and adding the arrow as a texture but that would take some time for me to figure out. Alternately you could draw the arrow by adding vertices as appropriate when drawing the cursor -- that would be easier but it wouldn't look as nice as the default Windows cursor, though.

If you're turned off by the color / size of the blue cross-hairs I can easily change that to your liking.

without me going into great detail, Could this be used to play the PC version of minecraft on a powerful enough android device?

If there were a VirtualBox port available for Android then, yes, you could use this mod to play the PC version of minecraft on a powerful enough android device. However, I'm not familiar with any VirtualBox ports for Android so this mod is worthless to you.

Got one for 1.7.10? Thanks for your hard work!

Sorry for the delay in responding. This is a pretty unpopular thread / mod so I don't check in very often to see if anyone needs updates. In any case, I've updated the links in Post #2 above for 1.7.9 and 1.7.10.

Actually, here they are to save you some scrolling:

    Minecraft 1.7.10 https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/26913331/vbox-opengl-cursor-raw-1.7.10.jar
    Minecraft 1.7.9 https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/26913331/vbox-opengl-cursor-raw-1.7.9.jar

If you're interested in the mod for Forge-1.7.10 let me know and I'll work that out. Otherwise I probably won't bother.

Sorry again for the delay in responding.

posted a message on Suddenly Unable to Connect to My Server Without Localhost [SOLVED]
I run my minecraft server on an Xubuntu machine so I don't have much experience getting one running on Windows.

I downloaded the minecraft_server.1.7.9.exe file and tried running that and mucking about with firewall settings but I couldn't get it to work. What I did get to work on my Windows machine was:

    (1) Instead of the .exe file download the .jar file (minecraft_server.1.7.9.jar)
    (2) At the command line: java -jar -Xms2G -Xmx2G -jar minecraft_server.1.7.9.jar. That worked for me.

There's no difference under the hood with the .exe and the .jar file. So if you can run with the jar file you're good to go. Perhaps give that a try?

And, while I don't think it will make a difference, update to Java version 55 while you're at it.

That's really it for general trouble shooting.

Actually, that's not really it. I forgot to ask:

    (3) Have you checked that your external IP address has not changed?

I now have a bigger problem. Whenever I go into the server it literally crashes, I don't know if this is a ram issue or what.

How much RAM do you have on your machine?

after checking my ip config i put in my ipv4 address in my server properties file

Usually you should leave 'server-ip=' blank in your server.properties file.

Sounds like you did port forwarding right. Have you checked software firewall / anti-virus settings?

Are you still having difficulties? If so we'll need a bit more info before we can help. But here's some general trouble shooting:

    (1) Check that the port is actually open in your firewall. One way to do this is as follows. Google 'Gibson Research Shields Up' and have it ping port 25565. Once you're on the shields-up home page click 'proceed', then enter in '25565' in the text box above the 'custom probe' button. Then push the 'custom probe' button and, if the port is open, you'll get a message like 'TEST FAILED -- unknown protocol on this port ...' or something like that. If you get a message saying something like 'STEALTH test passed' this is actually means your port is not open in your firewall. So to recap: if shields-up test fails then port is open; if shields-up test passes then your port is not open.

    (2) Let's assume the port is open in your firewall. I'm also going to assume the computer hosting your server is behind a router. (If not, please reconsider connecting via a router as hardware firewalls are safer!) We need to check the port forwarding rule on your router. The first step is to ask yourself if your computer has a static IP address. If not, then one reason you may not be able to connect is that the router is forwarding connections to the wrong IP address. I'm not familiar with most routers, so YMMV. On my router I specify an IP address that the router forwards connections it gets for port 25565. If this is how your router behaves you should check that the IP address in the port forwarding rule is the same as the IP address on the computer hosting your server. Typically your router assigns your computer an IP address like 192.168.x.x. and this address can change over time. So that's why it's important to specify a static IP for your computer.

That's really it for general trouble shooting. If this didn't make sense feel free to PM me for more verbose details. Good luck!

This error is due to anonymous inner classes not being named the same way as in the SRG after re-compilation.

In command.py, you can change the function cmpclassmarkers to add some ignores.

    Thanks much, El_garoo!
