"If you do not wish a war then why are you landing troops on an inhabited planet? It is obvious that you have no idea who my people are, so I'll just tell you a bit about us. We control over 600 star systems, have millions of ships in our fleets equipped with FTL and relativistic missiles, along with positron cannons. We have also sworn to protect the people that control this planet, the Hach. Any attack on this world will be considered an act of war against our nation, the Earth Alliance."
The EAS Tesla sends a message to the Triarians, quite surprised to have more contact with them after all the years of silence.
"The species with the huge planet destroyer is known as the Sazkarjhit, the planet below is controlled by the Hach. They each have a nationwide religion that nearly all believe, and the Sazkarjhit originally attacked due to an order from their 'Grand Vessel', a prophet of some sort. He demanded the complete annihilation of all Hach, because they didn't have the exact same beliefs as them. They have returned for unknown reasons, but it can be suspected that they broke the fragile cease fire to continue their crusade."
Contact in Sol
"You should have come here earlier then, our planet's atmosphere was mostly carbon dioxide a few years ago. Our people needed spacesuits just to walk around on our own homeworld. Anyways, we'll prepare a meeting chamber to your specifications. However, when you say terraform, which planet are you speaking of?"

Mar 7, 2014Domu IncidentPosted in: Forum Roleplaying
The Earth Alliance fleets open fire at the Sazkarjhit fleet, specifically targeting the ships that are projecting the shield around the bombardment cannon. Their new warp missiles are being launched as well, being used as short range missiles rather than long range ones. They still impact with just as much force due to the nature of the warp drive, however.
With the new, much smaller fleet also in orbit of Domu being detected, a "small" detachment of 2,000 ships is sent to deal with it just in case it is hostile. A message is sent towards it.
"Do not attack this world. If a single shot is fired your people will be sworn enemies of the Earth Alliance."
Mar 7, 2014Domu IncidentPosted in: Forum Roleplaying
A message is sent in response as the shields on all EA ships go up and they begin to move into the same formation that was used in the earlier battle above Domu. As everyone surely remembers, the tactics involved were quite effective. Multiple strangely designed ships move into positions in orbit of Domu.
"Oh, you'll destroy Domu? You should be reconsidering your actions. We are extremely impulsive beings, do not provoke us further if you enjoy being alive."
The ships in orbit of Domu send out thousands of satellites, which form a defensive perimeter around the planet.
Mar 7, 2014Domu IncidentPosted in: Forum Roleplaying
The two EA fleets warp into orbit around Domu, and their weapons are aimed at the lizard fleet while fighter drones are launched from the carriers. Having intercepted earlier transmissions, they decide to join the conversation.
"Heed their warnings. These fleets have been sent to defend this world, no attack on it shall be permitted. If you do attack, then we will open fire."
The gamma rays collide with the planetary shield, taking it down and making the areas that have already been rendered uninhabitable even more worthless. However, the occupied areas take little damage due to the heavy shielding.
The message from the attacking species makes it sound as if they thought the gamma ray burst was from the Earth Alliance, as they appear to respect stregnth, the EA just goes with it. A message is sent in response, everyone was thoroughly surprised that they kept their word.
"Our chosen meeting place is the planet below. We call it Terra, it is our homeworld. It is an honor to be the first to pass your test, I hope that we can have friendly relations in the future."
"We usually give equal pay to all workers, would 40,000 Universal Denominations per year be sufficient?"
Mar 6, 2014Sazkarjhit TradePosted in: Forum Roleplaying
After a short pause, the speaker responds.
"Okay, according to our system that would equate to... a single UD? That can't be right. I think the programmers of this were a bit biased, let's just fix that." After another pause, they continue. "That's better, 100,000 UDs. Makes much more sense. Sorry about that trouble, apparently the declaration of religious war devalues currency in our system. Huh, the more you know. Anyways, I'll get confirmation for this from the council and have the equivalent amount of materials sent to this system. Oh, what would the wage of the operators be?"

((Also, nukes cause EMPs, so I assume that you have an EMP shield or something.))
Battle of Sol
Surprised that their tactic did not work, the Earth Alliance ships decide to try an incredibly unorthodox move. Normally the Earth Alliance would only use ramming tactics of desperate or fighting a nation that called a crusade, but this time everyone's just impatient and also a bit desperate. They can rebuild what damage they are about to cause. 50 of the larger warships jettison their crew in escape pods, and they are taken control by ground based crew as if they were just huge drones. Their warp drives power up as if they are going to escape, but they all collide with the enemy bombardment ships at 100 times the speed of light.
A message is also sent to the Draconian fleet, as they appear to not be amused at the test.
"This is a diplomatic contact between our peoples, the Earth Alliance has agreed to this test. We ask you to not interfere, as we would quite like to pass this test as we somehow did yours."
With long-range sensors picking up signals of a fleet headed towards Domu, the Earth Alliance has scrambled fleets 5 and 7 to the planet for defense if the approaching fleets are hostile. In response to the apparent hostile action, a message as been sen tot the approaching fleet as well.
"If you are doing what we think you are, pray to whomever you believe in. Not for them to deliver you from the battle unharmed, but so that you may have a desirable afterlife."
"It is good to know that some of your people reject the idea that all who do not believe what you believe should be killed, if you wish we may be able to give you one of our claimed worlds to make your own. You are merchants after all, and every merchant needs a way of getting objects to trade. We would be willing to help you get a production line started. Besides that, we are extremely interested in your plasma throwers, what would the price of such weapons be?"
"Yes as a matter of fact, what is your government and economy like?" Asks Emily
"Yeah, you mentioned how much of your workforce was in industry and it really was amazing. With the proper technology you could become a major power." Adds Fergus

With the homing missile attacks, the EA ships are forced to begin firing on the missiles with their FPPCs. All ships not hit with EMP blasts immediately fly away from those that were hit. The ships hit with EMP bursts continue to sail on through space towards the enemy fleets, becoming nothing more than huge dumb missiles. However, before they can reach any ship of the enemy fleet, they detonate in a massive flash of light. There are no debris left save for gamma radiation.
From the older ships, multiple missiles are launched towards the center of each enemy fleet. They appear to be nuclear, most likely ancient history for the new species that has decided to test the EA.
The EA diplomat quickly slams his palm down on his other hand's wrist, activating a secret transmitter that was sent with him in case of an emergency. He screams into it, knowing that it should carry his message back to Earth and then to the universe.
"Sanctum is dead, the Draconian home galaxy has been destroyed! I repeat, the Draconian home galaxy has been destroyed!"
After a few moments, a planet near Earth receives the message (Earth was incapable of picking it up due to the jamming cruisers of the testing fleet), and sends it discreetly to the Equestrians, Triarians, Hach, Sazkarjhit, and every other one of the contacted species.
Aside from the Draconians of course, who knows what would happen if they found out who made it widespread knowledge.
Draconian Trade Offer
The EA has quickly jumped on the trade offer, and has prepared seven months of materials to be given to the Draconians in exchange for their technology. Luckily for the EA, they have a lot of resources lying around due to their production facilities simply not being large enough to keep up with the mining operations.
Mar 4, 2014There's pretty much a single group at my school that isn't intolerant towards everything that isn't exactly the same as them. Most of the people are racist, sexist, and homophobic. While no physical violence is committed (that often), half the students would be more than willing to entirely wipe out Africans, women, people who do not share their religious beliefs, etc.Posted in: General Off Topic

After a slight delay, a message is sent to the alien fleet.
"We dislike such contacts, but we will respect your traditions. Let's begin this little game." Responds the still calm voice, confident in the abilities of the latest commanders.
The 40,000 strong SolForce breaks off into 2,000 ship fleets and begins to move towards the orbital bombardment ships. The vessels move almost as if they were simply extensions of someone's body, like the pilots were connected to their ships somehow and the radar scanners were nothing more than another sense to them. Missiles are launched from Earth's surface, and more are launched from the electromagnetic cannons of the larger ships while the FPPCs send a hail of positrons towards the enemy ships. The Earth Alliance vessels react with incredible speed to enemy fire, again as if the ship and pilot were one being.
The EA diplomat looks on at the destruction occurring in front of him. It's no secret that the humans don't like the Draconians, but there is still some tiny sliver of sorrow and horror in him that screams louder than anything else. While he is horrified at the destruction taking place, he knows that now the Earth Alliance won't have to deal with Sanctum.
The plan just became that much more plausible.
Mar 3, 2014SMU StarshipsPosted in: Forum Roleplaying
In the Gliese 581 system, a few SMU starships have appeared on EA scanners. Since the EA has no idea that they are a splinter group and not official Sarkazjhit military ships, a warning message is sent to them and the group surrounded by warship.
"Earth Alliance port authority to unidentified Sarkazjhit ships, if you are hostile you will be destroyed without mercy by our fleets. However, if you are a rebel group you will submit to inspection and only then will we listen to you."

"Well, the fuel it requires is incredibly hard to create and is needed in great quantities. In fact, if our warp rings didn't move then we would need to essentially strap a planet of negative mass onto our ship just to reach 10c. We have about a hundred planets entirely dedicated to creating fuel. Despite thinking it primitive, we are currently faced with the possibility of switching over entirely to magic-based drives, but we have already decided to keep what we've got. We really like our warp drives, using them has become a sort of tradition for us. Anyways, first contact etiquette is different for all species. Some are stuffy and formal, other crack jokes, and one we have encountered attacks as a test. Most of my people have this perception that the inferior must do what the superior wishes, at least on the international scale, so we normally go along with what the new contact wants. Our people have a saying 'To each their own.' During a first contact, we don't care if the new species happens to be cannibalistic and physically disgusting to us, that's just who they are and they have a right to be that way."
Mar 3, 2014((I think we decided that Earth had been saved, but some large-scale damage would be nice for the purposes of roleplaying.))Posted in: Forum Roleplaying
Earth Alliance warships sent to scout for the alien species that devastated most of Earth has found a huge debris field, so thick and dense that their scanners were useless, which has given rise to the idea that an entire species could have been destroyed there. The armor and mostly intact starships have confirmed that the debris field is from the alien species that the scouts were sent to look for. This information has been urgently transmitted to Terra, but a spin was put on it to imply that the scout fleets caused the destruction.
Hey, its not like the Earth Alliance brainwashes everyone to remove corruption.
With the huge fleet suddenly warping into Sol, a message is sent from one of the areas on Terra that escaped the attack unscathed. It contains, of course, the now standard translation matrix
"This is Terra system security to unknown starships, please identify yourself and your reasons for entering our territory." Says a calm voice. "Our people wish for peaceful relations with all other species, but as a debris field quite a distance from our territory proves, we are more than willing to defend ourselves. The question is, do you want peaceful relation, an exiting war like the last species that attacked us, or have you dome to test us like the Draconians?"
"Well, our people are taught to respect all other species, and with the interspecies trade we've become accustomed with first contacts. As for information abut the universe, there are about six star-faring cultures that we know of. FTL technology is different depending on the nation, but my people have the most primitive method with involves bending space-time using negative mass which is ejected once the destination is reached, but we sometimes create an artificial wormhole for an entire fleet when instant response is required. The Equestrians and the Pixies use an FTL based off of a type of energy that few species are capable of using that is referred to as magic for lack of a better name, the Equestrians use some negaqtive energy in theirs to enable higher speeds and better efficiency. The Draconians use a teleportation device that bears a similarity to our wormgates, and most of the smaller nations use a drive that pushes their ship out of this reality into a dimension where distances are greatly compressed. Despite being primitive, our FTL has an infinite range so long as you don't stop. As for a galactic leader, there most certainly isn't, but the Draconians would probably like to have one of their own hold that title, not that they exactly want an election."
Mar 3, 2014Sarkazjhit RevolutionPosted in: Forum Roleplaying
The Earth Alliance has begun discreetly supporting the revolution with the Hach, and since there is no longer a threat to Hach planets, the fleet has been returned to Earth Alliance territory and de-mobilized. This has allowed everyone to finally breath, since the main fleets are no longer outside controlled territory.
Seeing the necklace, Fergus begins to walk up to it. However, Emily wordlessly stops him and takes an old handheld scanner off of the wall. After scanning the strange necklace, she turns to him.
"The atoms are completely alien, and I can't even get a reading in the center."
"What do you suppose it is for?"
"It could be anything from some crazy sci-fi fantasy thing to a completely normal necklace, beats me."
"We'll contact the Pixies about this, they have a lot of experience with magic. Probably ask the Equestrians to take a look at it as well. Speaking of the Pixies, I need to get back to their star cluster. Do you want to come?"
"Did you even have to ask?"
"No, I probably didn't."
Emily picks up the necklace, and they head to the docking ring of the ancient space station. There should be a transmitter there, or if they get lucky, there might be an old shuttle.
Pixie Home System
A small human shuttle exits the wormhole and docks with the EAS Defiance, and the two inhabitants quickly link up with robotic avatars in the diplomatic suite. The second avatar is obviously female.
"Sorry for being away for a bit." begins Fergus "I was just teleported to the home system of my species by beings beyond anything I could have imagined. And they brought Emily back." He gestures to the other robotic avatar.
"We have no idea what happened." She says. "I'm Emily, please forgive me if I seem a bit strange, I've been in stasis for over a century according to Fergus."
The human diplomat turns to the Goddess as well, astonished at what she just said.
"Yes, what will become of us?"
