    2. Minecraft Experience: I've been playing on an off since early alpha, with a long time off while i was in the army. I dont know that much about redstone mechanics, just the basics really and I'm somewhat new to many of the server mods some servers run. Experienced player though.
    3. Age: 19
    4. RP experience: {Ever made a unique character before? Any fond memories you'd like to share? If not, don't worry, as long as you're a good applicant, we'll do our best to get you started! - Not in-depth to be honest. I've played on a server similar to this over some months (some server restarts) where we RP'd and i remember playing the Chief of Military and Defence in one of the biggest factions. Our faction was a devoutly religios people, like crusaders. I also led my own faction once and had a great time with the people there.
    5. Have you read the rules, and do you agree to to them? Yes, bacon is my favourite food.
    6. Your expectations: Expecting a relaxed environment with friendly people where RP and survival is central. I hate ugly structures and creative mode BS so i'm hoping there's none of that. I just want to have fun on a good server!
    7. What do you think you can bring to the Dawn of Time? I will bring my character and skill as well as a friendly & fun vibe.
    8. You're running through the forest late at night, skeletons at your heels. You're running out of energy and you realize you won't make it back to your humble abode before the skeletons tear you apart. Suddenly, a bright light is seen through a gap between tree branches, and you dash for it. You spot a small, wood cabin and dive through the door, slamming it shut behind you. You look around the cabin, and see a small, unlocked chest. There is a sign above the door "Welcome to Hyperion's Humble Home". What do you do?
*I've never seen this cabin before.. And so close to where i stay.. "Hyperion's Humble Home"? Seems friendly enough.* I take a look inside the chest to get an idea as to who this Hyperion person is. Nothing special. I walk around the cabin and settle in a corner, resting my head on my ever equipped satchel. I sleep through the night.

Any chance you are running 32 bit Java on 64 bit OS? That's the most common cause for freeze some time into the game.

That may be. I will try getting the 64bit now to see if that's the problem.

posted a message on Screen freezes in game but game continues to play
Hey everyone. I just bought a new samsung laptop and installed minecraft on it. I soon realised I would have a hard time enjoying the game as it keeps freezing every 10 minutes(ish). While the screen freezes the sound is still normal and I can hear the sounds as if I'm still moving around and picking up stuff. I've tried to wait it out, and several other things but it seems the only thing that works is to restart the game to get it working again.

I looked around the forum a bit but didnt find a solution to my problem. If anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated!

posted a message on Clouds in my house.. all the time.
Hi all, I'm new, so I'm not entirely sure if this "suggestion" goes here. My problem is just a small one, but I'd like to make clouds unable to float through material, like walls. I'm building a mansion on top of a mountain right now and I noticed after a lot of buildtime that I had clouds inside my house, ALL the time. How this will be done I have no idea, no expert at game mechanics, I'm just suggesting that it get's fixed. My mansion wasn't going to be this creepy :Skeleton:

posted a message on The current death-spawn mechanic discourages exploration.
Rofl.. post above = awesome solution. Im a newb at minecraft, and find that I'm sometimes annoyed with the spawnpoints in game, but rather than the actual spawnpoint being the problem I find that I'm most annoyed with the items lost upon death. That's not really a problem though, there has to be a penalty.

As to making an item that you could use to change spawnpoint, I'm all for it. This will make the game less frustrating for the more casual gamers. If people want to just gather stuff at daytime, and sit inside their castle all night, they can. If they want the nice items which require diamonds/gold etc they need to explore the deep caves, and a movable spawnpoint is not gonna help those people TOO much. Sure, some may not like it, but as I said it may be better for the more casual gamers. If you don't want the movable spawnpoint, you don't need to get it.

posted a message on Perk selection (Original I promise)
I think it's a fairly good idea. No doubt it needs to be balanced out, and some things probably wont work well in minecraft. I don't know how the game modes will unfold but in various multiplayer games having perks would be awesome, as you could assign jobs to eachother etc, perks would be cool to have imo.
